Gendercisgender female
Height170 centimetres

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Known as the White Swan among her friends, Aïda is almost an embodiment of the colour. A slender, upturned nose and thin, rosy lips are set into a pale complexion; flowing locks as stark as Illum cascade down her shoulders; a wardrobe like a dusting of sugar on her skin—to most, she would have looked like an angel, and above all, she played into it. Her most striking feature, however, are her eyes, or rather, lack thereof. As with all Miralukese, Aïda has indents where eyes ought to be, and covers them with a variety of masks or straps.

INVENTORY

  • Lightsaber: blue; single-bladed; hilt made out of Cartesian whale bone; acquired in the Gathering.
  • Eye coverings: following the Miralukese tradition, Aïda owns eye coverings from simple straps to ornate masks.
  • Head ornaments: intricately designed; almost always in a halo-like shape with outward spikes. Also owns veils.
  • Dresses: almost entirely in the colour white, long, flowing dresses make up the majority of her wardrobe.
  • Heirloom necklace: one of the utmost simplicity passed down from her mother’s family, her only connection to her past.
PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Goddess, angel, martyr all in one, Aïda has crafted her very own mythos. A divine being to the crowd, an angelic solace of altruism, a burning martyr foretelling her own demise—all stems from a pride so profound that her own suffering would become her finest, most elegant work. Sanctity and narcissism are fused into a single, dangerously graceful whole. She is no longer the figure at war that was her teenage self but a controlled entity that has learnt how to channel the uncontrollable. She would make a legend of herself, a queen of the tales, or die trying.

STRENGTHS
  • Grace: elegance as her defining trait, Aïda had honed herself into becoming the very definition of the word, all soft touches and ethereal actions.
  • Charisma: all that poised nature was bound to lead to something, and the sly smiles and witty words allured the crowd, despite not being outwardly charismatic.
  • Selflessness: Aida is willing to give up anything for the ones she love. This includes her own prosperity, security, and even life.
NEUTRAL
  • Passion: perceived as negative by the Order and as positive by herself, passion is the fire that fuels her fighting, whether it be a passionate rage or a passionate love.
WEAKNESSES
  • Recklessness: Aïda doesn’t stop to think. She jumps into things, and if all goes wrong? She could correct her mistakes later with easy grace.
  • Ambition: ambitious to the point of ironic self-sabotage, Aïda is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve her goals, even if she harms others in the process.
  • Hubris: although not an evident trait, one could say Aïda has a bloated ego. She believes her Force sight holds superiority over normal sight and that her elegance marks her as different, queenly.
HISTORY

Born on the adopted home world of the Miralukese, Alpheridies, Aïda was identified as force sensitive soon after. Child of a pair of young parents working in farming, both were doting yet the three never had a chance to be a proper family. Tragically, her father passed due to equipment mishandling, and her mother, in her grief, committed suicide, leaving Aïda orphaned to her uncle, a man lost on the intricacies of child rearing. Due to their unstable relationship and her young age, Aïda never formed a close relationship with her guardian. However, Aïda's time with her uncle was relatively short-lived. Thankfully, the Order would soon sweep in on her fourth birthday and bring her away from her home world. Her uncle, grateful for this relief, signed her away hastily as she became the first in the family to leave the planet.

Aïda was a controversial youngling. At her age she never understood her own actions, even less her visions through the Force. She saw a decay she could not comprehend wherever she looked, as if it would soon swallow her world. She acted on what her Force sight presented to her. Often, she behaved out of protocol: where her peers focused on meditation and compassion, she turned to combat and recklessness. She was told she was disruptive, that she was volatile, that she relied too heavily on her emotions. Many a times her masters remind her she fought with too much emotion. Yet, young, rebellious, it was only with emotion that she knew how to fight.

Masters asked for her removal, no one believed in her, so she focused on proving herself to be the best. At thirteen, she turned from ruthlessness to summon grace, her actions swift, controlled, barely speaking a word her passion simmered away inside her, quiet, grounded. She had learnt to keep it hidden away, to keep her vision to herself as it should be, secret, powerful. She began to fight and act with elegance, to draw honour into her actions, but above all, to hone her skills no matter the cost. Her ambition was never evident, but her progress was. With the council regarding this as her improvement, she was soon selected for the Gathering and crafted her very own lightsaber, perfect in her hands.

And so began her journey as a Padawan. Now fourteen, she embodied the refinement she had flirted with at thirteen. Her movements were precise and fluid, sweeping through the training grounds or the battlefield. She valued actions and show over words, yet when she spoke, it was with the utmost poise. While the rest of the Jedi were weapons, she felt like a queen, and she relished in it.
