8t88-B is a complicated droid. Made from the remnants of the droid 8t88 by a Nar Shaddaa crime lord named Tattoo, 8t88-B was tasked, as his precursor was suited to, as an information broker. He spent his days doing what he was made for, selling information and giving Tattoo all of his earnings. But he wasn’t exactly an ideal employee as he began to embezzle money from Tattoo. Just for the pleasure of it at first, but then he began using it to fund other activities, blackmail, extortion, even a network of Nar Shadda gangs on his payroll. His reasons for doing this are unclear; some theorize that he is trying to surpass his predecessor, a few think he’s trying to get revenge on Tattoo, (Who is blissfully unaware of his other activities) and some think he just wants control. Whatever his reasons, many are hunkering down for what could be Nar Shaddaa’s largest gang war.
