GENERAL INFORMATION:
Group Name: The 302nd Mobile Sustainment Corps"The Ironblood Runners"
Classification: Logistics & Supply
Affiliation: Darth Virelia / Fourth Legion

Description:
The Ironblood Runners are the lifeblood of the forces' ground operations. Outfitted in ash-gray armor layered with impact padding, and often seen covered in soot, grease, or blood, they travel in fortified convoys that snake through Morrigal's treacherous terrain.

The 302nd takes pride in operating under fire, delivering munitions and rations to outposts others consider unreachable. Every member is trained in basic repairs, emergency triage, and, if necessary, last-ditch combat. Their motto: "What breaks, we bury. What breathes, we feed."

UNIT INFORMATION

Unit Size:
Large
Unit Availability: Common
Unit Experience: Trained

Equipment:

  • Armored crawler-trucks and repulsor sleds for supply transport
  • Modular freight walkers equipped with mag-locked cargo
  • Flameless fusion generators for field deployment
  • Ration crates, fuel cells, ammunition drums, and medical pallets
  • Compact toolkits, sensor arrays, and field repair equipment
  • Holdout pistols and low-caliber repeaters for personal defense
  • Portable shield barriers for convoy staging zones
  • Encrypted long-range comm uplinks with reroute capability
Combat Function:
The 302nd Mobile Sustainment Corps operates in tandem with both front-line and rear echelon forces. Their core function is to maintain operational flow—delivering supplies, retrieving salvage, and repairing damaged infrastructure or vehicles in the field.

They follow behind the first wave of attacks, reinforce defensive positions with replacement munitions and equipment, and operate long-range convoys to isolated strongholds like Hill 210. In emergencies, they establish mobile supply depots and construct impromptu field workshops under enemy fire. Though not front-line troops, their survival often determines whether others can continue to fight.

Force Abilities: N/A

Strengths:
  • Operational Endurance: Trained for long-distance convoys, sudden redeployment, and logistical improvisation under duress.
  • Field Repair Expertise: Can restore vehicles, patch wounded troopers, and reroute damaged infrastructure with minimal tools and time.

Weaknesses:
  • Lightly Armed: Poorly suited for sustained combat and vulnerable without escort or cover.
  • Terrain Vulnerable: Convoy paths are slow and dependent on terrain stability; volcanic activity, bombardment, or ambushes can cripple operations.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Formed during the early consolidation of Morrigal's military infrastructure, the 302nd Mobile Sustainment Corps was forged out of necessity. In the volcanic chaos of the Velgrath campaign, conventional supply lines failed—terrain collapsed, storms fried electronics, and droid convoys malfunctioned in extreme heat.

Darth Virelia responded by organizing a human logistics corps trained for creative survival. The earliest Ironbloods were fuel smugglers, mine cart operators, and maintenance workers from the Hollowvein complex. These early volunteers became the backbone of the 302nd and proved indispensable during the construction of Fort Avarice—hauling thousands of tons of alloy and munitions through lava-blasted passes under constant enemy pressure.
