Édouard wears a simple brown robe with an inscrutable expression; which is his mask, it gives the impression that he oblivious to what is going on around him.
Biography:
Édouard understands it to be this;
Born on Jakku as the youngest of 7 children, with an either absent or dead father, his birth mother unable to care for her children sold them off to ships that docked on the planet as and when she could.
Édouard was sold to traders who took him to Lothal where he used in mining and farming, of this he has recollections and of how when his force sensitivity was discovered he was brought into the house of sword fencers so they could develop his skills for their monetary gain. It was here Édouard had his first taste of family, as he was one of 6 in constant training who participated in "tournaments" where the spectators bet heavily on the outcome. As they grew older the equipment changed from wooden sticks to swords and the injuries sustained worsened.
On learning that their next "tournament" would be on the planet Sullust and with lightsabers, Édouard who was the most proficient fencer and as such had become leader of the group, fled from his masters on arrival - but he was only able to persuade two of his "family" to join him. The three stowaway on the first ship they could sneak onboard, where took them to Corusant.
They suffered even greater hardships on Corusant than on Lothal as Édouard began his search to find his true home. His two friends perished through, one through an unexpected assault; the other through illness.
