the man watched as reports flooded in, his servants and agents had been bussy tracking one singular being. his eyes ran through the lines of text, yet his face told a story of nothing but disappointment and dismay. despite the fact he had been trying to narrow down the movement of this singular entity, it was quite hard to track an experienced tracker, to find a single being in a galaxy of trillions upon trillions. Yet to him, this being was of vital importance, and despite all the power he had at his fingertips, he knew his own situation was worsening. No matter how much more powerful he became, the harder would the backlash be. His body had been waning, for decades, ever since that fateful day he had wrongfully believed himself to be beyond humanity at the time.
He had persevered, he had triumphed and outgrown his humanity that day...at least, that's what he had adamantly believed, but time is a cruel mistress and even those strong in the force would one day turn to dust. He did not seek a solution, but a potential answer. For He already had the solution, but not the answer to the riddle which completed the solution. he could not part with the gifts of evolution he had been given, but he could discard the detriments of said evolution, the remnants of the old in order to reforge himself anew. One half of the puzzle, the riddle had gone missing, and it was this half he so desparately sought out to find in the galaxy.
The machinations and antics of Her had managed to sow chaos, despite the setbacks this chaos had created for his sideprojects, it had inadvertedly provided an opportunity: a means to further direct smaller powers to unwittingly do his bidding, to steer the arrogant and the insubordinate to do as they were told.
his fingers tapped upon the armrests of the throne upon which he rested, leaning in a rather stiff sideways manner, a hand supporting his chin as his eyes seemed to wander off from the reports towards the starcharts he had been meticulously keeping an eye on for the past several days. With each report he had passed through, a star and several planets darkened and vanished from the map. There was... a planet he thought made sense. The region in which it had manifested after the strange planeshift was nearby the colony of the sith order, a world perhaps not as holy or revered as Korriban, but certainly not forgotten...
"Nathema"
This place was a graveyard, a wound in the force so potent that even after so many millenia, the aftereffects of the ancient emperor's actions could still be felt. It still reeked of death, of unavoidable doom. However, it was also a barren, practically uninhabited world, a place where one could remain unnoticed for days, weeks, perhaps even months. A place a true hunter could find sustenance without issue, it indeed did make sense. The close proximity to the Sith Order's holy worlds, since this subject had managed to gain a means to traverse the galaxy, reaching the holy worlds wasn't much of an issue, but He had sent out agents and spies to the Holy worlds and It was not located there, so Nathema made more and more sense.
"How cruel, for those who hold the key to my life, to reside on a planet permanently scarred by death."
