"Not all wars begin with grand declarations. Some ignite in the space between loyalty and betrayal—when old powers refuse to let go, and new ones refuse to yield."
THE BATTLE FOR SERENNO — HISTORY RETURNS WITH A VENGEANCE
Serenno's noble class is once again the center of galactic upheaval. A splinter faction of Serennoan nobles has moved to break ties with the Sith Order, prompting the Diarchy to dispatch military forces in their support. In response, Sith-aligned nobles have been bolstered by Sith Order reinforcements of their own, escalating what was once an internal political schism into a wider armed conflict.
The engagement now unfolding across Serenno resembles proxy conflicts of an earlier era. Much like the wars on Umbara or Mygeeto, each side is backing its respective local allies in a bid to reshape control over the world's political and territorial structure. As of now, the Verrinox Estate an entrenched Sith-aligned stronghold has become a focal point of the fighting. it remains a symbol of the Sith-backed nobility's control over the region.
THE CANYON AMBUSH — A CONVOY UNDER FIRE
In the early phase of the campaign, a Diarchy military convoy moving through Mystral Canyon came under sudden assault by entrenched Sith forces. Caught in a narrow killzone, the convoy sustained heavy losses before reinforcements from the Lilaste Order arrived to stabilize the front and repel further aggression.
Diarch Rellik was confirmed to be present in the convoy during the ambush, a fact that shifted the urgency of the Diarchy's response. The presence of one of the Diarchy's twin rulers likely contributed to the Lilaste Order's swift aerial deployment, which turned the tide of the skirmish and allowed for recovery of surviving personnel and materiel.
While the broader battle spans multiple fronts, the canyon incident remains one of the most violent and coordinated ambushes of the engagement thus far.
THE MANOR ASSAULT — GROUND WAR IN THE SHADOW OF POWER
At the same time as the canyon attack, a second front was opened at the Verrinox Estate. Diarch Reign led a direct assault on the manor itself, targeting what intelligence suggests to be a command node for Sith-aligned forces on the continent.
The battle around the estate has been described as resembling trench warfare, with both sides locked in high-intensity close-quarters engagements. Rumors from the front suggest Diarch Reign may have personally engaged the Sith Emperor during the operation. However, no official confirmation has been released by either side.
The estate's defenders have utilized layered fortifications and overlapping kill zones to blunt the Diarchy's offensive, leading to sustained and brutal fighting that continues as of this report.
THE STATE OF PLAY — A DIVIDED PLANET, A DEEPENING CONFLICT
Serenno's battlefield is no longer merely the concern of nobles or their patrons. Entire regions are being drawn into the fight, with civilian populations displaced and neutral settlements caught in contested zones. Neither the Diarchy nor the Sith Order have issued public statements clarifying their end goals, but both continue to escalate their support to local allies.
The Diarchy's involvement appears framed around supporting secessionist nobility, while the Sith remain committed to preserving influence through their existing proxies. The resulting deadlock has turned Serenno into a theater of ideological and territorial confrontation.
No mediators have emerged, and neither faction shows signs of disengagement.
THE ROAD AHEAD — UNCERTAIN ALLIES, UNCHARTED CONSEQUENCES
The fighting on Serenno shows no sign of abating. While initial movements suggested a fast, decisive shift in control, the entrenched resistance on both sides has hardened the conflict into a war of attrition. Without outside intervention or internal resolution, the proxy war threatens to spiral furtherdrawing in more resources, personnel, and possibly even neighboring systems.
Observers now question whether Serenno marks a singular confrontation or the opening movements of a wider pattern: a return to Cold War-style confrontations by galactic powers through local intermediaries.
AFTERMATH ON SERENNO— POWER, PATRONAGE, AND THE PRICE OF SPLINTERING
The battle for Serenno is more than a civil conflict. It is a fault line between visions of galactic order competing ideologies channeled through the fractured ambitions of a noble house divided.
The nobility may call it loyalty. Their patrons may call it strategy. But to the people of Serenno, it has become something else entirely: war.
