To the people of the Royal Naboo Republic,
I thank you for your patience, your trust, and your enduring spirit during this past year. When I saw the transition from our humble Kingdom of Naboo into the Royal Republic, I believed it would usher an era of unprecedented progress and brotherhood for the Outer Rim; and while our brave young nation has accomplished both of these goals, it was not without perilous fights the entire way. The very christening that birthed the Republic was marred by the machinations of The New Way and the Netherworld; twice, Naboo was attacked by Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders; Enarc was invaded by the Sith Ascendants; the Planeshift rearranged our entire galaxy; and the Celestial construct, Calladene, threatened to eradicate life as we know it.
Each of these events threatened the lives of every man, woman, child, and gentlebeing of the Republic.
Each of these events contributed to the state of emergency we found ourselves in.
And I stand before you today to say: the Republic did not break.
We did not capitulate. We did not falter. We did not collapse. We endured. We survived. We rebuilt. We grew.
And so today, I am relieved to inform the good people of the Royal Republic that the national state of emergency has been dismissed. As such, the Royal Assembly and all offices of governance shall return to their standard and nominal duties. This also alleviates the throne of its temporary term extension; the Republic's democratic process shall resume, and an election season shall now commence.
I thank each and every one of you for your perseverance.
