Story Arc Recap
Kuhbee - Volume # 1 : A Roar in the Force
Complete Story Arc Summary
Kuhbee, a rare Force-sensitive Wookiee from the lush forests of Kashyyyk, was brought to the New Jedi Order on Coruscant as a young cub. From his earliest days in the Temple, he stood apart, not only for his towering species, but for the quiet depth of perception he carried. Wookiee Jedi were exceedingly rare, and many within the Order watched his development with both curiosity and cautious hope.
Raised within the Temple walls, Kuhbee embraced the teachings of the Force with determination. Though his size and strength made him physically imposing even at a young age, his temperament leaned toward patience, loyalty, and emotional awareness, traits that made him especially receptive to the Living Force. He excelled in his studies, forming strong bonds with fellow younglings. In moments of levity, such as a now fondly remembered game of dodgeball within the Temple training halls, Kuhbee forged friendships that would shape his sense of belonging in a galaxy far from his homeworld.
That sense of stability was shattered when the Galactic Empire rose from the ashes of the Galactic Alliance, bringing devastation to Coruscant and the New Jedi Order. Still only a youngling, Kuhbee was deemed too inexperienced to take part in the defense. Instead, he was evacuated alongside other Force-sensitive children to the sanctuary of their Shiraya allies on Naboo.
On Naboo, Kuhbee resumed his training under a new sect of Jedi calling themselves The Jedi Order. Though displaced, he remained steadfast in his commitment to the Jedi path. Yet his connection to Kashyyyk never faded. Through fragmented reports and distant whispers, he learned of his homeworld's suffering, first under Mandalorian incursions, and later under the grip of the Black Sun Syndicate, which sought to exploit Kashyyyk's resources and people.
Without a master to guide him and still early in his training, Kuhbee struggled with a growing sense of helplessness. The Jedi Code taught patience and trust in the Force, but for Kuhbee, the pain of inaction weighed heavily. He carried the burden of knowing his people endured hardship while he trained far from home.
When at last the Black Sun Syndicate receded into the shadows, leaving Kashyyyk scarred but unbroken, Kuhbee made a defining choice. Setting aside his formal Jedi training, he returned to his homeworld, not as a fully realized Jedi, but as a son of Kashyyyk determined to help his people rebuild.
Now walking a path between duty and identity, Kuhbee embodies a unique balance: a Wookiee shaped by the Force, and a Jedi shaped by loss, loyalty, and the enduring call of home.
