For many years, Lazerian IV has stood among the member-worlds of the Galactic Alliance, bound by the hope of common cause, mutual defense, and the preservation of liberty. In good faith, we gave of our strength, our resources, and our lives, believing that unity would safeguard the galaxy's future.
Yet the Alliance has faltered. It has grown stagnant in endless bureaucracy, its voice splintered by corruption and indecision. Its fleets, once the shield of countless worlds, have been routed again and again by the ascendant Galactic Empire. Its leaders, rather than standing firm, have surrendered territory, abandoned allies, and watched as world after world departs its failing grasp.
Lazerian IV will not share in this decline.
Henceforth, we withdraw from the Galactic Alliance. No longer shall our sons and daughters bleed for a cause that has forgotten its own purpose. No longer shall our wealth be squandered to prop up a failing order.
We shall remain a neutral and sovereign realm, beholden to none but our own people. Lazerian IV will chart its own course among the stars: self-sufficient, steadfast, and watchful. We shall defend our world with our own hands, and where alliances are wise, we shall choose them for ourselves, not at the behest of a distant and faltering council.
Let this be clear to all: Lazerian IV seeks no war, but neither shall we yield to those who would trespass upon our sovereignty. We shall stand apart, yet never alone, for true strength is born not from broken assemblies but from the will of a people united under one banner.
