The Five Veils Conspiracy
CLASSIFIED MISSION REPORT TO THE FIVE VEILS OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE
Subject: Katabasis Site Analysis & Security Recommendation
The expedition dispatched to the planet Katabasis has concluded in catastrophic failure.
The scientific team, including senior archeologist, Dr. Harrex and five support personnel, are confirmed deceased. Final transmissions included incoherent vocal distress, energy fluctuations, and an audio-visual disruption of possible metaphysical origin. Physical remains recovered from the site exhibit rapid cellular decay and Force-distortion scarring. No known biological agent accounts for these conditions.
The planet exhibits signs of ancient infrastructure (temples, catacombs, and leyline convergence points) predating any known Sith empire. These structures have now partially reactivated following excavation. Survivors report temporal disturbances, entity manifestations, and cross-sensory hallucinations consistent with mythic Force anomalies.
One such structure, designated "The Black Spiral," appears to be an ancient Force prison designed to contain a malevolent will or intelligence. Upon breach, multiple Jedi and operatives in proximity experienced shared memory corruption, psychosomatic injuries, and aggressive behavior. The entity, referred to in fragmentary records as [REDACTED], is believed to remain partially active.
RECOMMENDATION:
Due to the unpredictable metaphysical risk, lethal environmental hazards, and emergent Force phenomena now destabilising Katabasis space:
The Five Veils Trade Route should be redirected to avoid Katabasis at all costs.
Justifications include:
– Loss of critical scientific assets, including Dr. Harrex, due to hostile anomalies.
– Planetary instability, including geomagnetic fluctuations and psychic interference.
– Presence of pre-historic Force architecture, now active and potentially weaponizable.
– Risk of exposure to ancient corrupted incorporeal intelligences.
– Evidence of accelerated corruption among Force-sensitives on-planet.
No further expeditions are advised until the site can be formally quarantined and placed under multilateral Force-security supervision.
