Two humans sat facing each other in a pristine interview room. One wore the tailored suit of a Corpo-affiliated journalist, the other the uniform of a decorated CorpSec officer. The journalist was the first to speak, her lilting tone made for media work.

"I am glad you could join me, Sergeant Dravis. I understand you led one of the teams that responded to the recent terrorist attack in District 7?"

"That's right. I was charged with running down suspects, which led me to the man known as 'Doc Painless'." The journalist nodded, her facial set in an appropriately grave expression. "Doc Painless? Was the man a medical practitioner?" Sarvod snorted, his expression dark. "Hardly. A sawbones in the most literal sense, maybe. He was a violent criminal to the core, but I am told he provided militarised cybernetics to his co-conspirators."

"I see. Was he the same man implicated in the murder of Qanatain Xopsaloff, member of the Direx Board and beloved philanthropist?" Another nod, the serious expression meant to convey just how dire of a threat the Doc had been. "That's right. True to form, he conspired to murder Master Valery Noble, Sword of the Jedi and famed war hero. I can't say I know why. Perhaps they were trying to send a message. Luckily, she survived."

"A fact can we can be grateful for, though not everyone was that lucky." Images trickled across the lower parts of the screen, among them a train inspector that died in the explosion and several CorpSec officers killed in the line of duty. "Yeah. I lost someone on my team while trying to make the arrest. He was..." Sarvod swallowed, a hint of moisture in his eyes. Fake tears, of course. "... he was convinced he could convince the suspect to surrender, but this so-called Doc shot him in cold blood. Even after that, we tried to take him alive, but no such luck."

"I am sure you did everything you could - and the streets are safer with him off them, no?" Sarvod nodded decisively. "Absolutely. He was a brutal killer to the core. We later found data files proving his involvement in the attempted assassination." A brazen lie. To the best of their knowledge, the Doc had not even known it would happen. Still, their fake evidence was very convincing - and Sarvod was an excellent liar.

"It's comforting to know that the responsible parties are facing justice. Thank you for your time and your service, Sergeant Dravis."
