The smell of smoke and static electricity filled the control room, which was solely illuminated by the errant fires which had broken out across the level. Typhojem, the Left-Handed God, had done it's job well. With the Imperial fleet engaging the Faithless outside, and His forces running amok within, the thrice-named Death Star had been pushed to it's limits. After the initial failures of the Faithless to staunch Typhojem's ransack of their internal systems, the God Machine had gone fully on the offensive and began to critically endanger as many systems as it could.
Darth Carnifex watched with cold detachment, the death-throes of this terrible machine rippled out from beneath His armored greaves. Not long after they'd folded space into the Death Star's reactor center, CT-312 and Scherezade deWinter had split off to carry out their own missions. He'd remained close by to where they'd arrived, slaying all who crossed His path and ultimately taking control of one of the reactor nodes Himself. The Death Star's three other reactors would be handled by those He'd employed in His service, the vaunted Death Drop.
With the aid of Typhojem and the others, the Eternal Father sent the Death Star reactors cores into meltdown. Such energy required to power the station's systems and it's weapon of hubris were reflected back in on itself, and soon enough the station would tear itself apart. It would have been a simple matter to leave both of those who came with Him behind, to consign them to their fate along with the Death Star. But the Eternal Father knew the value of reliable instruments, and thus re-acquired them in His flight from the Death Star.
All of His forces withdrew back to the Kainate fleet, departing the Atrisia system as the Death Star was destroyed in their wake. With all the data and technical specifications that Typhojem stole from the third Death Star, the Eternal Father would see to that they were put to far better use in His hands than those of the vanquished Faithless and their horrid, now annihilated, machine.
