As we move forward with the our change from The Royal Naboo Republic, into The High Republic, as a way to celebrate the growth and expansion that's brought us here, we're also planning to evolve the structure of our Jedi Order and how it functions.
The Order of Shiraya has been a meaningful and defining part of our journey from the beginning, but like our change from RNR to THR, our reach is expanding beyond the cultural boundaries of Naboo and we felt it was time to embrace a broader identity, one that is more tangible for writers, and one that shows that we can change and evolve.
After exploring several options and a lot of back and forth, we ultimately chose a name that would reflect legacy, inclusivity, and make us easily identifiable: The Jedi Order.
We are hoping to have this change reflected through upcoming stories to explain our narrative shift; but in the meantime, we wanted to give everyone a sense of what that evolution will look like and share with you a preview of how we are envisioning the way things will function moving forward. Our ultimate hope is that this will open up a lot of different avenues and opportunities for writers to explore and enjoy.
