OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To craft a ground cover technology for use in coverage or area denial
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: Serpath (SWRPC), Creep (StarCraft)
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
PHYSICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Ground cover, organic growth
  • Weight: Very Heavy
  • Color: Various shades of green, brown, and purple, depending on the natural growth in the area
  • Resistances:
    • Energy: High
    • Kinetic: High
    • Lightsabers: Average
    • Elemental: Very High
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • A thick tangled mat of vines and thorns and brambles makes it almost impossible to traverse by foot; a days hike may only cover a few miles at the most.
  • Sturdy and regenerative growth is resistant to most forms of damage, and particularly resistant to elemental damage (like flame and chill)
  • Full compatibility with Sylva Vitae technology, allowing SV biotech to 'skate' across the surface and traverse much faster than they could by standard ground travel
STRENGTHS
  • Decently high resistances to standard weaponry
  • Significantly high resistance to flame weaponry or cold-based weaponry
  • Sylva Vitae compatibility allows for quick growth and movement compatibility with SV biotech
WEAKNESSES
  • Organic growth takes time to fully encompass an area, and if it's cut back it will take time to regrow
  • The 'Serpath' growth requires nutrients, sunlight, and space to be viable; in a clustered, urban environment it will be almost useless and potentially even a detriment
DESCRIPTION
The 'Plexis' growth is used for Sylva Vitae biotech to 'skate' over its surface, allowing faster movement for the compatible biotech as necessary while also hampering non-compatible tech. In essence, it's a massive 'network' of a living surface, and ideal for mass transport along the ground. Made up of potentially thousands of square kilometers of Serpath, its convoluted and thorny lower boundaries hamper intrusion, but the smoother and vine-braided canopy allows for quick movement and transfer of nutrients. While it does require nutrient intake from dirt and light, it is still capable of living temporarily on artificial surfaces, and can be used to aid in area coverage and denial.

Another interesting and cool sub. The header image is broken, as I experienced facebook links are expiring in a very short time, I suggest to upload the image to imgur or similar sites and link it from there. Or I found this site where you can also find the photo, and I think if you link from there, that would be good too.
