SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • BAMF!: The cloak grants the wearer (and one other person) the ability to teleport nigh-instantly to any location they can visualize in their mind. Their departure will be accompanied by a burst of black smoke. Very cool.
  • Invisibility: The wearer can more easily hide themselves both visually and in the Force.
  • A Little Extra: The cloak can store small reserves of Force energy. These reserves can be utilized in an emergency, giving a short boost to the wearer's strength. Once depleted, the cloak's reserves must be refilled, whether passively over time (which can take days or weeks) or via deliberate restoration by the wearer (which is taxing).
  • Blasterproof: As clothing goes, this cloak is very durable against blaster fire, able to withstand even direct hits.
  • Sleeps With Vibroblades: The cloak boasts exceptional defense against kinetic blows from weapons such as vibroblades. The faster the sharp object is moving, the stronger the cloth will be against it. It also has shock absorption.
  • It's a Cloak: The cloak provides excellent protection from the elements and has been treated so that it will not retain water when submerged. It is also fireproof.
WEAKNESSES
  • Within Limits: The teleportation ability granted by the cloak is subject to certain rules.
    • Distance: If you want to move to another location on the same planet, no problem. If you want to travel to a moon in orbit around the planet, it will require more energy, but it is feasible. If you want to transport to a different planet, even within the same system, you're asking for too much. You also need to be able to visualize the location you want to travel to, so going somewhere you've never seen before is impossible.
    • Frequency: It is recommended the cloak only be used up to three times per day, with at least two hours between each use. The more often you use it, the faster it will wear out. As it accumulates wear and tear, the distance it can travel will steadily decrease. It may also start feeding on the wearer's life force in order to accomplish each jump.
    • Upkeep: If damaged, the cloak will need to be mended, preferably by someone skilled with a needle. The more damage it sustains, the higher the risk that something will go wrong. The wearer might end up in the wrong place, parts of them may wind up "lost in transit", or they may accidentally travel through time as well as space. It is best not to let it reach that point and repair the damage as soon as possible.
    • How Many?: The cloak can teleport up to two individuals (the wearer and one other person) at a time. Doing this will wear it down faster, however.
  • Force Null: As an imbued item, the cloak's special properties can be rendered inert by suppressing or nullifying effects. So long as it remains under such influences, it is little more than an ordinary cloak.
  • Lightsabers and Ion: The cloak has no real durability against lightsabers and EMP/ION. The prevailing wisdom of this is that, as a Jedi, if you can't block your opponent's lightsaber or grind Sith lightning, you're doing something wrong and your cloak can't save you anyway.
  • Mere Clothing: While the fabric is quite durable, this is still only clothing and should not be considered on par with armor. As previously mentioned, if it is torn or otherwise damaged in any way, things will begin to go awry.
DESCRIPTION

This mysterious artifact was created on Dahrtag during the Gulag Era by an unknown Force User of considerable skill. It is technically five different cloaks all worn together. Each layer is a different color: red, yellow, green, blue and black, and has been carefully imbued with the Force. Byron Devorak obtained the cloak at some point in the past, and it swiftly became an essential part of his ensemble.
