DESCRIPTION
The SGR-5 Executioner is designed to be a compact slug thrower that can be easily tucked away and hidden from sight. Its carbon frame design is lightweight, and undetected by the common metal detectors used to find blasters and blades. The small frame make it easy to hide under jackets or in ankle holsters. The big problem is that the SGR-5's carbon frame is more delicate than durasteel. Its easier to smash up than a regular slug thrower. Also, it only holds 6 bullets, and reloading a revolver is a pretty lengthy process.

Thanks to its design, the SGR-5 can fire either .410 bore shotgun rounds or .45 magnum sized rounds with equal efficiency. Obviously, the .45 has a further range than the .410, but they can be swapped out for whatever the person needs in the field.

All in all its a pretty standard shatter gun pistol with a few alterations.

Strengths:

  • Carbon composition: The SGR-5 is made of carbon, and therefore undetectable by metal detectors
  • Small size: The Executioner's small size makes it easy to hide on a person.
  • Round swap out: The Executioner can shoot both the .45 magnum and .410 caliber size rounds with equal ability.
  • Jamming: Revolvers hardly ever jam, and when they do, they are easy to deal with.
  • No kick: since this is a shatter gun, the SGR-5 has no kick to speak of.
Weaknesses:
  • Breakable: Carbon is strong, but its not as strong as durasteel. Its easier to break than your average durasteel blaster.
  • Revolver: This shatter gun only holds six rounds before having to be reloaded, and its a revolver, which takes a while to reload. so shoot wisely.
  • Reduced range: The Executioner has a pretty limited range due to size.

Traditionally, Verpine shatter guns don't work the same as your average slugthrower, as they use a firing mechanism more akin to a railgun than a modern firearm, so the type of shells you mention here wouldn't exactly have the same effect when fired, especially the shotgun shell. The bullet would be accelerated through the barrel without ever going through the normal firing mechanism, thus essentially just being a whole bullet that was being fired, casing and everything still included. Something like a shell that splits open as it leaves the barrel would work with this type of gun, however.

Similarly, this would mean the gun would have practically no recoil.
