APPEARANCE: Nei has smooth, blue-grey skin, along with the large dark eyes and multiple head tresses common to her species. She’s slim, thanks to the exercise regime implemented by the Emperor's people to ensure everyone remains happy and healthy. Her clothing attire is appropriately conservative: small V-necks are alright, but nothing that reveals too much.

BIOGRAPHY: Nei was born on Glee Anselm, the Nautolan homeworld, taking on odd jobs at the various spaceports to earn enough credits to get off the planet (it didn’t help that the stories she’d heard from the spacers fuelled her unusually burning desire to leave). When she was 17 (human years) Nei was offered a job aboard the “Brightest Hour”, a smuggling freighter comprising mostly of Twi’leks.

But, instead of accepting the job and face the wrath of her parents, Nei turned it down and continued to work at the spaceport. After graduating from school, she quit the spaceport due to pressure from her parents and instead went on to get a job as a secretary for a small-time business, first as an intern and then as a replacement when the secretary "mysteriously" disappeared. The secretary job, along with influence from her parents and the Emperor's propaganda, made sure to eradicate any desires she had to leave -- eventually convincing herself that she was content with her life.

A couple of years after Nei became the full-time secretary, she met a Nautolan named Kif Colto, a young man who worked as a delivery man. After a few drop-offs, the pair began to hold conversations that were longer than the "Hi" "Hi" "Sign here, please" "Alright" they always exchanged. Soon, the pair began to talk after work and, with the blessing/approval of her parents, dated.

During the dating years, Kif surprised Nei on their anniversary by confessing that he'd saved up enough money to take them on a trip to Coruscant for the annual Celebration of the Emperor. Ecstatic for the celebration, but apprehensive about leaving, the couple packed up their things and left.

The celebration, promoting all of the Emperor's victories and warning the citizens against fraternizing with the rebels, was a blast for the young woman. However, near the end of the festivities, Nei was witness to the Imperial task force sedating a man who'd previously been shouting about the atrocities of their supposedly benevolent leader, urging them to stand up for themselves and to not let him control everyone. The Nautolan had never seen anything like that before, and for some reason it bothered her. At first, she tried to rationalize that it was because of the fact that she'd never encountered a rebel before, and as a dutiful citizen the lies he spewed bothered her. But the truth was that it got her thinking about her life, wondering about whether or not she really was happy with the way things were.

These thoughts frightened her, and Nei happily let them disappear after Kif stunned her with a wedding proposal.

Many months after the wedding, Nei learned she was expecting a child, and the joyous couple soon became the parents of a healthy baby girl they named Mona.

And yet, those long-lost thoughts from the festival have recently resurfaced, despite Nei's attempts to ignore them for fear of being branded a traitor.
