Prologue
Born in the outer rim, Melakoth discovered his connection to the force during his early teens--when, during a violent beating by his abusive family, he managed to throw his attacker clear across the room without touching them. Making a swift escape, the young force-user set about making a life for himself in his hostile and lawless corner of the galaxy. Within a few short years, the young man had joined a pirate crew. Training himself further in his abilities, as well as the use of his vibrosword, he quickly became a force to be reckoned with among his peers; so much so that by the time he was 17, he had, during a particularly vicious argument with the captain, killed the man and taken command of his ship.

During the next few years Melakoth became a confident leader and a deadly adversary. However, during a raid on an outpost of the Sith Empire some time later, he was captured by a much-larger-than-anticipated defensive force.

He would have been sent into slavery, but fortunately a sith happened to be aboard the station. Recognizing the young force-user's potential, he took Melakoth to the Sith academy on Korriban. Melakoth went willingly--he was in his early twenties at the time.

Melakoth quickly immersed himself in the teachings of the sith, eager to cast off his old life in favour of the promise of the dark side's power. While he was no scholar, he had a firm understanding of what it meant to be sith, and through this understanding his powers in the force grew strong. Furthermore, his prior experience and natural talent with a sword quickly made him into one of the best lightsaber fighters in the academy, quickly adopting a dual-bladed lightsaber as his weapon.

Melakoth was close to graduating from the academy when the final battles of the war with the Republic and Mandalorians occurred. When Darth Vulcanus declared that all the apprentices on Korriban be sent to fight the oncoming enemy, Melakoth took the chance to prove his power with open arms. Having fought in the battle of Korriban, he managed to escape the destruction and slipped away in the chaos that ensued. Since then he became a pirate captain once more, respected and feared throughout the outer rim territories. Using his tactical genius and force abilities to his advantage, he amassed a cutthroat crew and a very profitable business. When presented with a lead that suggested that an ancient mystic who could lead men to fabulous treasure through his power in the force, Melkaroth searched up and down with his crew, going from clue to clue. They eventually ended up on an abandoned mining colony, fighting through an inhospitable jungle to reach their goal. Melkaroth eventually found the mystic, whose only advice was to seek out Darth Vulcanus. The members of Melkaroth's crew who were on the ground with him all died in the process, and the others deserted him. Managing to escape, Melkaroth found his way to the Sith Lord.

Strengths and Weaknesses

+ Lightsaber protege: Melakoth is extremely skilled with a lightsaber, utilizing a dual-bladed weapon.

+ Tactical Mind: Melakoth posesses a firm understanding of tactics and can use this well in battle. His time commanding a pirate ship has given him a firm grasp of starship strategy.

+ Powerful in the force: Melakoth has a strong connection to the force and can very effectively harness his hatred to increase his power in battle. His understanding of the dark side of the force and his immersion in its teachings and ways enhance his capabilities.

+ Physical strength: Melakoth has a large measure of physical stamina and power. He is tall and physically imposing.

+ Enhanced strength: Melkaroth's cybernetic limbs give him twice the strength of a strong human.

+/- Fallen to the Dark Side: After his duel with Hasjo, Melkaroth's fall to the dark side has been complete. This gives him a heightened control over the force but also means he has lost his humanity--which is a power far greater than one he could now hope to posses and one he can no longer understand. Friendship and love are lost upon him, and it is beyond him now to know that these things are greater than any power one could achieve with any physical strength or control of the force.

-Poor with technology: While Melakoth is skilled in the ways of the force, his ability with technology and computers is poor, and he lacks as an engineer.

-Poor pilot: Though Melakoth did spend a lot of time aboard a pirate ship, he never flew it. While he did develop good skills for commanding a ship during this time, he must always have somebody else actually fly the ship for him, and is incompetent when it comes to piloting starfighters.

-Youthful arrogance: Melkaoth, being a fairly young man, possesses the arrogance that comes with youth and will often bite off more than he can chew.

-Impeded mobility: Melkaroth's cybernetic limbs, while providing great strength, make him much more cumbersome and slow than the average human. He is unable to move very fast, and is unable to use more agile styles of lightsaber combat, relying instead on his raw power and prowess in swordplay.

Chapter 1: A New Order
Melkaroth met with Darth Vulcanus, but the Sith Lord attacked, forcing Melkaroth to fight and come to terms with his true identity and destiny as a Sith. Vulcanus tested him in battle, but deeming him worthy, he took Melkaroth on and trained him. Becoming an Acolyte of the New Order, Melkaroth took on a position as a Commodore within the Sith navy. He took command of the heavy cruiser Imperius and took part in the New Order's invasion of the planet Bosph. Soon afterwards, Melkaroth continued his training in the Sith ways under the tutelage of Darth Ferus, who began training him in Juyo form.

Soon after, Melkaroth assisted the then-acolyte Sokari Rano in capturing the Jedi knight Hasjo Hallu. They took him back to Darth Ferus, and Rano and Ferus proceeded to torture the Jedi for information. The Jedi escaped, however. Melkaroth intercepted Hasjo and they dueled, but fueled by his fury and pain the Jedi Knight easily overpowered the young Sith, slicing off his limbs. The Jedi then proceeded to vent his anger in a great force scream, which ruptured several of Melkaroth's internal organs, mortally wounding him, and escaped. Darth Ferus, however, was able to save Melkaroth by having a life support suit constructed around his body. The suit, which included replacements for parts of all four limbs, gave him super-human strength, but greatly impeded his agility.

However, the encounter with Hasjo also fueled Melkaroth's hatred and completed his transition into a fully realized Sith. Up until that point he had somewhat resented the ways of the Dark Side, though he had accepted them, but this brush with death destroyed these sentiments. His decision to fully embrace the Dark Side strengthened his connection to the force and made him a far more formidable opponent in battle.

After recovering from his ordeal, Melkaroth took command of the New Order's fledgling shipyards, whose production speed had been less than satisfactory. In a brutal move, Melkaroth pushed the slaves to breaking point, forcing them to rebel openly or face unbearable suffering. Allowing the rebels to overrun most of the shipyards, Melkaroth exposed the entirety of the hithero secret rebel organisation as they took their chance to make a bid for freedom. As this was occurring, Melkaroth dueled his fellow Sith Acolyte Phobos, with whom he had quarreled over the handling of the facility and his ability as a leader. However, when a group of rebels made it to his office, the other Acolyte managed to slip away from a distracted Melkaroth.

Afterwards, Melkaroth took part in several military operations commanding the Imperius and its battlegroup, including the Invasion of Dromund Kaas and the glassing of Telos IV. He was eventually promoted to the Rank of Sith Knight by Darth Ayra after the disappearance of Darth Vulcanus. However, his new position of power within the Order was short lived, as the short reign of Darth Ayra was marked by a swift period of decline for the New Order, bereft of the leadership of its founder and soon assaulted by the Mandalorians in payment for Vulcanus' futile invasion of Dromund Kaas. The Order quickly disintegrated, leaving Tyrin to chose whom he would give his allegiance to.

Chapter 2: Rise of the Sith
Upon the collapse of the New Order, Melkaroth joined the fledgling One Sith as it began its great war against the Republic. Commanding naval forces in the One Sith raid against the Kuat Drive Yards and the Invasion of Manaan, Melkaroth also joined the the defense of Empress Teta during the Mandalorian surprise attack on that planet in the battle's final stages, fighting alongside his old enemy, the former Hasjo Hallu turned Darth Vidar, though he did not know the true identity of his comrade. As such, he quickly became a respected commander in the One Sith Navy, but being constantly on duty he was a soldier first and a Sith second, and found little time in those days to further his Sith training, and did not take a new mentor to replace Darth Ferus.
