  • Description: Maataua City and its surrounding districts are a series of connected platforms built atop a massive sandbar. It is home to a large population of both native and immigrated species who enjoy a relatively safe environment away from the fast pace of the galaxy abroad. POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Spacedocks: Spacebound citizens and incoming visitors pass through Maataua’s spacedocks, the city’s spaceport and customs sector. This area features dozens of open-air hangars for starships, as well as public and private warehouses for storing cargo.
  • Seadocks: Genetians pride themselves on their heritage as nautical explorers, whalers, and fishermen. This tradition is honored still by Maataua’s operable seadocks. Here, fishermen maintain their vessels, store and process their catch, and even sell to buyers both domestic and foreign. Recreational vessels are also docked here, and many fishermen and tourists alike frequent the seadocks’ eateries and pubs.
  • City Center: Often the first thing visitors see when arriving in Maataua, the City Center is a massive indoor park comprised of beautiful public greens, freshwater ponds, meditation gardens, and walkways to the outlying districts. Merchants and peddlers often setup shop along the paths, selling everything from food and drink to handcrafted trinkets, handmade weapons, and even salvaged droids.
  • Susulu District: The Susulu, or Sun, District is Maataua’s residential area. Here, citizens live in sleek apartments with architecture reminiscent of other seafaring civilizations, such as the Mon Cala and Kaminoans. Also located in this district is Maataua’s primary and secondary schools and other public institutions.
  • Masina District: The Masina, or Moon, District is the beating heart of Maataua’s commerce and culture. Restaurants, attractions, sparring dojos, and more can be found here.
  • Paneta District: The Paneta, or World, District is the governmental hub of Maataua and Genetia’s physical capital. In Paneta, one can find embassies and ambassadorial offices, and the Genetian Tribunal Court.
    • Genetian Tribunal Court: This impressive domed structure resembles the Galactic Senate in both appearance and function. Here, delegates from the Genetian tribes and representatives from extrasolar nations convene to address all manners of governance.
  • Ashlan Lyceum: Also known as the Genetia Jedi Enclave, the Ashlan Lyceum is an important place for Jedi and other Light Siders on Genetia. It serves doubly as a traditional temple for Jedi training, as well as a religious site for Force-reverent worshippers to convene.
