Strengths:

  • Dark side aura

  • Illusionistic properties. The artifact projects an illusion into its surrounding space (e.g. a room, a cave) that changes the perception of reality when one comes into range.

Weaknesses :

  • Dark side aura

DESCRIPTION
Because Yidhra is utterly talentless when it comes to physical combat, she’s had to resort to other methods of protection. Certainly, there are guards on patrol on her grounds, but can you really trust your guards? Not on your Sith life, you can’t.

For this reason, the sorceress has devised an alternative means of keeping herself and her possessions protected from anything, be they thieves or would-be assassins.

After a number of failed experiments and twice as many corpses, Yidhra finally arrived at an acceptable solution: Ananotia. These small, hand-crafted artifacts are lovingly shaped by the Pureblood herself, so long as one considers blood sacrifice and ancient rituals as ‘lovely’. They are carved, cast, and modelled from various natural materials found on her homeworld, with inscriptions in High Sith and motifs borrowed from her culture’s long and colorful history. (Granted, the colors used were mostly various shades of red.)

During the whole process of shaping the statuette, Yidhra would pour the Force into the artifact, channeling the Dark side so innate to every Pureblood with age-old chants of her people. As an avid scholar of history, sorcery, and alchemy, Yidhra is well-equipped with a vast array of tools to bring each Ananotia to its twisted completion.

Because every artifact is crafted anew, no two are ever alike. Yidhra takes pride in the work and uses these Ananotia not only as a means of protection of her home, but also as a way to explore the limits of both herself and illusory magic. With a penchant for exploration and eerie combination, the end results are often even more terrifying than anything than the sith could conceive of her own.

The illusions she imbues into the statuettes range from things as innocuous as a vast library to vistas as blood-curdling as the Field of Blades. Lesser minds are easily bent to these alternate realities, and many slaves have been known to die of thirst while circling in a single room. Others were driven mad by the visions and took their own lives. Still differently, Yidhra had designed a number of illusions that feel natural and comfortable to the victim – sometimes even pleasurable – whereas in reality, they lead them towards a hundred foot chasm.

Naturally, not everyone will fall under the spell of these artifacts. Stronger users of the Force might find some of the illusions laughably easy to shake off— but even the simplest of tricks have the potential to affect a powerful mind. Yidhra reasoned that there is no singular illusion strong enough to overpower the stalwart barriers of some Lords and Ladies of the Sith. The strength of the Ananotia, however, doesn’t lie in their individual strength, but rather in their variety.

Every creature in existence harbors a fear of some sort, whether they know it or not. Wandering through the halls of Yidhra’s palace, they are bound to find it lurking just around the corner.
