STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

+ Understanding: Raised with full awareness of her status in life, and that of those less fortunate than herself, Ami understands a lot more than a typical girl her age might where responsibility is concerned. Her parents, while shielding her from danger, never tried to dumb down her learning and answered any question she posed them as honestly as they could.

+ Bravery: Going hand in hand with the former, Ami is less naive than some of her counterparts and understands where sacrifices must be made, from something as simple as old toys and clothes she has grown out of going to another who can make better use of them to standing up for others too scared or weak to defend themselves. And being that Ami went to a public school, she exercised this in the playground whenever she saw a child being bullied, or something of the sort.

+/- Child: Naturally, all of the above comes in moderation. Ami is but a child, she does not really have any strength and her intelligence isn't particularly high - in fact she is frightfully average in terms of academics and athletics. With that said, however, she is light on her feet making her a devil to catch if she does not wish to be caught.

- Privileged: As much as Ami tries to be empathetic, the fact of the matter is that she has lived a very privileged life as the child of a Skye Noble. Her bloodline can be traced back several generations, and she's never gone without any of the essentials. This often leads to her good intentions being looked down on as pompous acts of charity, and can even lead to her being talked down to or abused by the very children she tries to protect in the school yard.

- Instability: As much as the above still rings true, recently Ami's household suffered a severe economic blow, leading to the necessity of loans - which they then could not repay - in order to keep afloat. The stress has caused a strain on domestic affairs, with her mother even threatening on occasion to take Ami and her brother and leave. Having overheard such arguments, Ami is well aware of the crisis and will do anything to try and ease her parent's burden.

PRE-ROLEPLAY HISTORY

Born to the Noble House of Villiers, on the planet of Skye, Amalie was raised among wealth and privilege. The eldest of two children, Amalie took to the role of big sister as naturally as breathing, and matured at a rather fast pace. Her parents, being of the mind that jading a child's view of the world would only lead to future complications, opted for a more open approach with their daughter, providing her with swift and honest answers to any queries she might have concerning the world, and making no attempts at shielding her from reality. Of course, they kept her safe and protected from the dangers she learned about - and as they suspected their decision brought about a heightened awareness of what was out there.

When they sent the child to school they opted for a public education, and it was there moreso than anywhere else that Amalie realised just how lucky she was; many of the other children wore hand-me-downs, bore scrapes and bruises, and some could not even read or write! It was these that she wanted to protect, and while she would do so she would also learn that sometimes the poorest in society had a loathing for those with wealth. Viewing her as a spoiled brat, they would often throw back any of the good she did in her face and sometimes even treat her the very way they themselves had been treated by the bullies Ami stopped.

Where others may have stopped, however, Amalie kept on trying to make friends and help. Around the time that she started school, however, disaster struck their household. Their family had somehow sunk a whole load of money into something - Amalie never overheard what - and her Father had gotten in way over his head. Relying on loan upon loan to remain afloat, tensions rose between her parents until her Mother began threatening to move back in with her parents, taking the children with her. Wanting anything aside from this, the child tried to come up with ways to help out their financial situation, she sold many of her belongings, as well as some of the finer items they rarely ever used, and hid the credit chips she acquired with her Fathers.

But it didn't make so much as a dent. The Family was breaking apart, and soon she knew that it would splinter entirely.
