Development Thread: None
Manufacturer: Zhol Kash Dinora and the Zillo cadre of the Obsidian Knights

Production: Semi-unique
Material: Alchemized durasteel, rock, nullification resin, crystal.

Classification: Force-attuned item

Rate of Fire: Single action. Slower when in deep space or in desolate regions. Can be fired more quickly in the presence of a Force nexus or a great deal of life energy.
Special Features:
  • Scrambles or disables electronics over a short range, regardless of insulation or conventional shielding
  • Does not work against Force-attuned electronics, e.g. lightsabres
  • Easily blocked by high-grade nullification resin, ysalamiri, or Knight-level Force shields
Description: From Ancient Sith 'ur-kaa', meaning a command to 'halt' or 'freeze'. The Yrkaa is a fairly minor Force artifact derived directly from a much more powerful, pre-existing Force effect. The Yrkaa is a functional equivalent of a wide-angle ion blaster or electroray. Its function is derived from the effects of the Dark Force Temple on Dromund Kaas, whose surrounding landscape was inimical to the functionality of electronics. Unlike the Temple, the Yrkaa is not a Dark Side nexus, and its area of effect is very small by comparison - a few square metres rather than hundreds of acres. The Yrkaa does not project electricity, ion energy, etc.; when it is activated, electronics in front of it simply stop working correctly for a few seconds or minutes.

In keeping with its role as a secondary and only situationally useful weapon, the Yrkaa is packaged as a flat, bulky sidearm. Its internals contain no electronics. When fired, it projects a cone of rippling air, as if distorted by heat. There is no flare or recoil.

Though the invention of the Yrkaa was complex, requiring a Master-level alchemist, the fabrication is easy enough that a competent and specially trained Knight-level alchemist can create a Yrkaa given enough time. Reverse engineering the Yrkaa would probably require a top-tier alchemist.

After the misunderstanding this is fine, however i will remind you that this is not an unlimited ammo gun. I this is used in a thread by someone and they're using it the entire time with 0 negative effects and it gets reported It will be pulled.
