Your Opinion I: Zahati'i

Hello, people of Chaos!

Maybe a few of you have already seen the planet and the species I have been trying to create. Zahat'n'ira, a planet in the wild space of the Galaxy, has been approved already, but I want to talk about Zahati'i. It's a species waiting for an approval, but I think I should ask your opinion about them now.

What do you think about Zahati'i? Would you create a Zahati'i character? Would they have future in this game?

I understand it's still waiting for an approval and that they might not get approved at all, but I thought, that maybe people don't even like them, so...

Personally I think they add a nice dynamic to the Galaxy, and even if people don't use them as player-characters the species themselves would be fun to meet as NPCs etc.

My main beef is this, their Tech. If they lack the tech to repair and maintain ships/speeders/lightsabers, then were did they acquire the items to begin with, as well as where did they get the knowledge in their use.

Forgive me but basically this would make them like force sensitive ewoks.

Well, actually, they don't know how to use them. I don't remember at the moment, if the information about human colonies is mentioned in Zahati'i history, but actually, some time ago, a group of humans happened to land on the planet. They taught Zahati'i the Galactic Basic Standard and gave them a few techonolgical items. But they never taught them how to use them and certainly they didn't teach them how to repair them. So now they are useles... But I thought (in case they get approved), there will be some sort of contact with the rest of the Galaxy ICly, so that Zahati'i can become something in the Galaxy.

That was mentioned in the post, don't worry - it's there in the history that their tech is there but the species can't/don't know how to use it.

Maybe you could add more detail as to why the rest of the galaxy would be interested in them. Right now all I can come up with is as trainable expendable force weapons. If Daxton were to encounter them, corruption is sure to follow.

... Just .... Well, I might think about their planet's minerals or some other cool things the rest of their Galaxy would want, but it's a bit harder to think about more things they would be useful to the Galaxy. But I'll think about it also.

You could say that about a lot of planets and species' though, could you not? Both player submitted and canon.

By the way, it's not only about this species, but with the overall Species Creation. When a species gets approved, the creator of them should create a guide about creating a character of this species... Otherwise, people who want to create a character, they might not know, how to do it...

I am considering crossbreeding them with the morj, the race with the capability to generate and throw lightning to create an terrain Force using specialist for my purposes.
