Working on it (Jump in!)

Saveair had just arrived to the Voss Academy that day, had a somewhat tour of the place, and set up where he would be living. He was glad he finally had a place to call home, before this he'd been moving place to place. For the past hour he had been sitting on top of the mat where he'd be sleeping, even though there was a bed. He stared at the ceiling of the quarters and thought about life for a bit. After getting bored for a very long time, he took his shoes off and wandered off into the hallway, towards the practicing chamber. He sighed, entering the chamber and looking around, it was a basic place, with a mat and some device meant to fire at you while you practiced.

Since he had no lightsaber, or master yet, he had to use a training saber that was provided in the academy. So, he walked over to it and grabbed it off of a rack that had about five of them. Igniting the saber, he activated the device that was meant to simulate blaster fire. He tried to mimic what he saw about Form IV, Ataru. He grabbed the saber and held it in a form with both hands as the device opened fire, he successfully deflected about two of the bolts, and then everything went dark. He was stunned.

Veino rubbed his eyes and sat up from the study carrel littered with datacrons and datapads. He needed to go for a walk. Go find somewhere else to be and something else to do. It had been a long time since he had a Jedi temple to prowl the hallways in at night. It was surprising how many others were still up as well as they moved through the corridors on their own business. He gave them nods as they passed and they returned it.

To be among Jedi again was strange. Especially the Silver Jedi. He hadn't been around their type since he had allied with the Galactic Republic Jedi. Both had similar philosophies, although the Republic had been far more rigid. Perhaps they still were. He honestly had no idea. But there was an odd empty ache along his waist where his lightsaber once hung. It had always been comforting and cool there should he need it.

They Jensaarai taught that their armor was an extension of their person far more than their lightsaber, but after years of relying on nothing but a lightsaber, it had grown on him and it was a third arm. Always there when he needed it. Always a support. Combine that with his armor as an additional skin and he felt more than himself. Or had. Now things were different.

But perhaps it was time for some lightsaber practice. He would need to regain his skills at some point. Might as well start now. The corridor passed by- and the robe-clad Jedi- until he reached the training rooms.

He paused to listen and peeked in a room. Just enough time to catch sight of a young padawan get stunned by a training droid. Was that Ataru he had been using for blaster defense? Poor choice, but perhaps Veino could assist in that.

Slipping into the room he knelt down next to the boy and set his hand on his forehead. This would be interesting.

Veino closed his eyes and took deep breaths, feeling his mind slow and the Force ebb through him. Not the mighty river that had coursed through him before, but a small stream just beginning its course back to the sea. He stretched out with his mind to carry the Force forward and sent it into the boy. It was not a particiularly impressive disply of healing, but it should make the after-headache a little less painful when he awoke.
