Winter of Some Kind

Midvinter
What an interesting planet, Theo had to admit. He had come to the planet of Midvinter, it was one of the very first planets he had visited which weren't his home planet Nelvaan. It was a nice place, beautiful even, and Theo really liked it. Just wandering around in nature, he didn't care where he was - he was just somewhere on the planet. It was one of the planets which really kept tourists interested in it and its wonderful nature. Some would admire the beauty of trees, some admire water... But Theo just wanted to be in nature once in a while. Even though having learned to live in cities, villages, even in ships, he felt the best in his natural habitat, which was the forest.

But this day, he was not in a forest. He was just aimlessly walking and jumping around the place, moving from one terrain to another, passing different biomes. It was quite fun, actually. He had freedom, he had the right to just... move. It was a thing some would give everything to get, and so would have Theo done would have he and Ashborn not come to this planet.

What a place... Theo thought. His thoughts werre often really simple, sometimes consisting only of images. But what would one wait from a squirrel. He was sentient and had the ability to think, but his brain was still not capable of being too powerful, meaning some things other sentients had were not there for Theo. Which was kind of sad, actually. That may have also been a reason why the animal saw more visions than most other Force-sensitives. Indeed, they were short and foggy and strange, but he still saw visions, so that's what matters, right?

That day he had not seen a single vision yet. Nor had he seen one in the recent days, but he was not too bothered by that. He knew some times they would come back to him and show him the things he needed to see.

So without any worries, the squirrel was seen on the fields of Midvinter. He was definitely not native to the planet.

@Theo ((My apologies for the wait))

It had been some time since Aerin had walked the earth of Midvinter. Away from her beloved home, her family and most of all .. Snow! Her blood pumped anew with the invigorating cold .. she hated the warmth of the Galaxy, it's draining energy sapping qualities that limited her abilities to do anything. Now here, she was alive.

Her foot lifted and moved forward only to be placed with delicate practiced skill upon the crisp snow, not a sound come from the placement as she shifted her weight and moved again .. forward. Her eyes directed toward her prey, a boar large and with full tusks dangerous and sharp enough to rip fresh from bone. Her bow raised parallel to her chest, her elbow held high and straight equal to the arrow now set in the nocking point. Aerin's fingers pulled the string back, only a slightest creak would be hear as the tension of the sting increased. But she held.

Her foot remain, her body unmoved as the boar shifted it's position, Aerin stood as a statue until the boar returned to snuffling .. only then would Aerin moved once more.

Theo turned himself a bit. He had felt movement. And indeed, as soon as he turned his head to the right, he saw a woman a bit away from him. She wasn't too close, and Theo had been a bit hidden by some snow, so it was not a surprise she had probably not noticed him. The woman held a strange weapons of some kind, he could tell so judging by the sharp points of the strange stick. A simple instinct - if it's sharp, it's dangerous.

He looked at her and tried to understand who is she going to... hurt? Seeing how the woman was quite looking at one direction, he also followed the way and noticed an animal of some kind.

Was the woman a hunter?

That just became a lot scarier for the squirrel. He hoped he wouldn't get hunted.

Finger flicked open, the hiss of the arrow leaving the bow. Aerin's arm moved up and grab a second arrow and nocked it to the string. Her eyes never leaving the arrow in flight. A thud, the arrow pierced the neck of the boar. A sharp blood curdling scream issued from the large pig before it fell, legs kicking in the snow for a moment before they stopped.

Aerin, lowered the bow knowing she had killed her prey. Replacing the arrow, she walked forward toward the boar. Only giving a small gray furry creature, half hidden in the fresh snow, a momentary glance as she past.

Blood spilled from the wound and soil the pristine snow, Aerin with her knife finished the job by cutting the throat of the dying boar. She would never let a creature suffer needlessly and she only kills for food, never sport.
