Where We Stand May Change Forever

Citadel Station hugged Telos in orbit, nearly a fifth of the planet's size in surface area it reminded many of how much effort the Old Republic put into terraforming the world. It was too large, expensive, and dangerous to remove the station after the terraforming was complete; thus it was left to drift above abandoned for thousands of years to come. It was only a few years ago that Titan Industries, along with help from ATC, assisted The Primeval in renovating the space station and giving it a new, better purpose.

Today the station would find its greatest use yet. Meeting here this day, delegates from the Hutt Cartel have come to formally tie themselves to The Primeval who have aided them in secret for some time now. This open declaration of an alliance was a big step for both, until now The Primeval had only operated closely with the One Sith and to an extent the Techno Union after recent talks. But for The Primeval to initiate ties of their own, with the Hutts no less, was an interesting prospect that would surely raise eyebrows across the galaxy.

Anja herself decided to be present, rather than having [member="Boo Chiyo"] speak on her behalf; although he was invited for perspective and advice. [member="Zambrano the Hutt"] too was offered a place in these delegations, the Hutt Cartel owes its namesake to his species.

And finally, [member="Jared Ovmar"] who has slowly found himself inside the inner workings of The Primeval has been offered a seat as well.

The chamber held a single table, with accommodations for Hutts, and chairs lining either side so that the two groups may sit across from one another.

[member="Sempra the Hutt"] | [member="Lysle of the Hydian Way"] | [member="Flannigan Mcnash"] | [member="Xander Black"]

Sempra the hutt slithered through one if the great space stations many docking tubes. He was accompanied by his closest associates, the cartel Major domos, and two trusted enforcers [member="Nyx"] and [member="Cadan Tazi"] - who had been backing his intention to create and rule the greatest hutt empire seen in centuries from the beginning.

The cartel had grown from a spice dealing operation into controlling large portions of the piracy through [member="Flannigan Mcnash"] and [member="Xander Black"] - to something that dominated planets. The latter not something he believed would be possible without a firm alliance with other major players in the galaxy. [member="Lysle of the Hydian Way"] had been wise in pointing out the primevil to Sempra. It had started a whole new era for the cartel.

The Primevil had also been the first to recognise the greed and powerhunger that was so present in the new hutt cartel. They had been the first to realise their potential and through [member="Boo Chiyo"] discreet but potent deals had been arranged. Deals where the cartel had backed the primevil. In return the Host lord, would recognise and support the Cartels claims as the rulers of the old hutt space.

Sempra had indeed feared retribution from other instances if this had become common knowledge too other powers but they had managed to dodge the attention. [member="Boo Chiyo"] had been at this game of secrecy for some time and handled it well.

For a moment the hutt slowed down to watch the ships outside. Huge destroyers among an escort armada was an eyesight worth to admire. The Primevil war machine was far more impressive then the cartel fleet, constructed more for piracy then fleeting. But that too was changing. In hutt space the great hutt war ships would again be a common sight. That was something Sempra had sworn. And he meant to keep the pledge. This was partly only possible due to critical alliances, such as this one.

With a grin upon his face he moved forward to reach the meeting room. The doors opened up and Sempra soon recognised the two seats adjusted for hutts. One of them unmistakenly adjusted for his cousin [member="Zambrano the Hutt"]. Sempra choosed the other.

Cadan stood close to Sempra as they moved throughout the space station. He was here to make sure that no-one got to close to Sempra. Those who did got either a nasty growl or a savage comment from Cadan. Apart from the he remained silent.

Cadan had decided to not adorn himself with all sorts of armor, so instead he was in his once beautiful trench coat. But now the coat was ripped, shot up, bloodied and severely burnt. Underneath it he wore simple clothes. The burns on the coat seem to flow down from the burns on Cadan face. No doubt they happened from the same attack. He carried a simple DL-18 at his thigh, the word "Sunshine" was inscribed onto the hilt.

As they entered the room, Cadan awkwardly looked to Nyx as to what to do.

[member="Sempra the Hutt"] | [member="Anja Aj'Rou"] | [member="Nyx"]

In the shadows behind the side of the table where the Host Lord of the Primeval sat, the boy stood with his head bowed in wait of an opportunity to be useful.

It was the nature of children to be neither seen nor heard in the midst of such affairs. And it was the nature of assassins to stay to the shadows where they operated with a freedom that was otherwise denied them in the light. And so he would watch, and serve, and obey.

And then act, according to the will of Sargon as prophetized by the Host Lord. She who had predicted their victory at Wayland. Communed with ghosts on Korriban. Navigated the dreams on Serndipal.

To that end, he wore no armor, but merely the simple white garb of a monk as was so frequently apparent in his stays at the White Palace in Srilurr. No blasters or lightsabers adorned him, not even the bloodied vibroknuckles. Merely an Amphistaff, draped about his shoulders as a serpent, which stared out at the assembly around the table with dead eyes -- even as the boy himself kept his own gaze downcast so not to look upon the Host Lord.

If he had achieved anything which had precipitated today's event, it was only because he had stepped into the part written for him by Halrormalenth -- to whom all glory and creation was due. The Broken Creator, to whom all that was corrupt would be renewed. And that which had become purified would become corruptible. Until the tides of darkness, when all would return to the nothing from which it had first emerged.

Nyx

Insert Hilarious Title Here
Diplomacy was never really her thing.
As Nyx followed [member="Sempra the Hutt"] into the meeting room, she glanced over to her fellow enforcer, [member="Cadan Tazi"].
He seemed nervous, unsure of what to do. She flashed him an encouraging smile, then leaned against the wall, her arms crossed.
Nyx of course knew that the Cartel had been in an alliance with [member="Anja Aj'Rou"] and the Primeval for awhile now, but had had no personal interaction with it's members.
She'd heard things, but not much. The Primeval had managed to isolate itself well, which was why she was surprised to learn they had reached out to the Cartel.
The mercenary would be lying if she said she wasn't interested in what happened next, and settled herself to watch the proceedings.

It was of Flannigan Mcnash, a man who had been sculpted from living metal, he was about 18 inches taller than a normal human, and his features are grossly distorted from the human norm. His chest is overly large, with arms attached by thick knots of muscle at the shoulders, and he challenged anyone to speak with him with a glare, he awaited the real primeval not their servants.

A glow to those craven eye's a twitch of his sharpened digits, it was an incline a sharpness that only the precise movements of a machine could accomplish, he held aloft a chalice empty save for some dust that shifted through it. "Awful gift, I don't know why I brought it." he raised it before putting it on a tray with a solitary 'thunk'. He turned to watch the guest or more aptly the war-criminals, he wondered what the smell and taste of constancy of the air, it was all too foreign to him now that he lost most of his sense's. It filled his present until a slave approached him and took his order, there was a stare that past the two, he couldn't eat or drink and he was sure someone put this slave up to it. "I'm fine thank you."

[SIZE=10.6666666666667px]Already the Hutt Cartel had entered the rooms and settled themselves down for the upcoming formalization of the pact that existed between themselves and the Primeval. [SIZE=10.6666666666667px][member="Anja Aj'Rou"] would have been made aware of Vassik’s presence in lieu of Ovmar, and currently the Muun was patiently waiting for her Host Ladyness to make her own appearance. This way they could both join the room together without making it too awkward. [/SIZE]

He didn't want to be here, he seriously didn't want to be here. He wasn't a diplomat, he was a builder and natural shooter of stuff, not a contract signer. However, Sempra got what he wanted and Sempra wanted him there. If he could of, he'd of brought his best buddy Jardo, but of course he was busy so instead he settled on three of the elite Scream Squad members. They were there just encase this kicked off and shots happened. He didn't expect that to happen, but you never know.

Slowly he followed the group into the room, eyes spinning around slightly. He saw the chair that Sempra claimed and of course he chose the one to the left. He was the left hand man, he prided himself on that. With out him the planets they'd taken wouldn't be under their control, without his ships they wouldn't of done it.

Anja moved through the halls until she entered the room, the quiet Umbaran maneuvered to her seat and slowly sank into the chair. The Primeval's delegation was rather small in comparison to those of the Hutts who arrived, she could only suspect that this had to do with the relative nature in which power was distributed amongst the Cartel. Everyone had to look out for their own interests and Anja would look out for The Primeval's. She wasn't alone, however.

Beside her were [member="Boo Chiyo"] and [member="Vassik Kilvaari"]; perhaps [member="Zambrano the Hutt"] would arrive later on but few knew what thoughts went on through his deranged mind. In the center of the table there were refreshments available for anyone who wished to partake. Water, wine, liquor, and an assortment of foodstuff native to Telos. The soft light spread through the room assuring that it was neither too bright nor took dark, for some species such as her own this was preferred.

Remaining silent, Anja's pale eyes glanced around the room, searching the new arrivals inquisitively and scrutinizing every detail she noticed.

As [member="Anja Aj'Rou"] entered and took her seat Sempra inclined his head toward her.

He grabbed a chalice of wine and thwirled the glass, smelling it out of habit while he too observed the members of both the primevil and the cartel.
After some time he raised his glass.

"To our alliance!"

The hutt downed his glass with a forceful swallow and let the table feel the weight of his body as he used it as support to settle his massive body in front of it.

"Ladies and gentlemen It is now obvious that others have taken notice of our cooperation. No doubt we will encounter both spies and agents with the aim to disturb our up to now silent agreement. We are partners in war and together we stand strong enough to counter most major powers in the galaxy. But let us not be overconfident..." Sempra raised a finger of warning.

"As influence and greed grows, as it should, we will also find new challenges. Let us discuss our objectived out there. The cartel prefers to keep our options open, I hear however that you are waging war against the galactic republic. Will they pose a threat to your systems? hum? " the question was asked in general to anyone across the table.

Telos...

Such a reprehensible place in the eyes of the Warlord. He had been here when it had fallen to Primeval hands. But unlike the other places that he been to, he did nothing to help the effort to claim the world. Instead, his soul anguished in unfamiliar sadness and agony as he felt the history that surrounded it... the reminders of the Jedi in the past. Ever since, the Hutt had disowned the place, and made it publicly known through his Directory. He vehemently refused to attend the meeting there, and did everything in his power to avoid the world entirely.

This was why, a member of the Directory would stand in his place. Her name was Commodore Vun, and she entered the room as the proceedings began. Just in time it would seem, as the talks began. Unfortunately for the young Commodore, it would seem that she would have to literally stand for the Hutt, since they had prepared a seating for a Hutt not a lithe human woman.

Such was the nature of power not directly owned.

"Grand illustrious Sempra the Hutt, I mean no disrespect when I tell you that the Galactic Republic is of no concern to either of our respective organizations. With the One Sith's repeated incursions constantly at their borders with resounding proficiency, I would doubt that they can spare any resources on our burgeoning Empires." The woman stated promptly as she assumed her position in Zambrano's place. "Please excuse my rudeness, I am Commodore Vun, one of the Warlord's top advisers. I am representing his interest due to his abhorrent hate of this particular planet. Surely you must understand from experience the behaviors of that particular Hutt when he experiences displeasure, so I do hope you accept this replacement." She bowed towards the leader of the Hutt Cartel.

Anja listened well as the three souls spoke, she hadn't been aware that her Warlord, [member="Zambrano the Hutt"], wouldn't arrive personally; an offense surely but one that would be dealt with on another day. Instead, the Host Lord maintained composure as she always did. The Umbaran offered little insight as to what she was thinking, feeling, or if she even intended on speaking at all. She silently agreed with both of Vun's and Vassik's assumptions.

"Our alliance is new and fragile," she finally began to speak, "so I must agree with the Muun that The Mandalorians and Silver Jedi Order are our most immediate opposition." Unlike The Republic, the Silver Jedi Order and Mandalorians provided obstacles for travel between Hutt and Primeval space. Whilst small starships, civilian freighters, and perhaps a few warships could pass through unnoticed; any fleet actions would surely be detected as they passed through.

That didn't mean they were entirely isolated, however. "We each have an advantage the other does not, Sempra. Your Cartel has a steady hand in both the political gardens and criminal underworlds and my people have armies and fleets with both the experience and equipment to wage a direct war against our enemies." It was rare for the witch to ever speak this much to anyone, but diplomacy was a bit unique.

"If we are to solidify where we stand with each other, we must first exploit our strengths." That was the final note she added, giving ample time for her advisors and the Hutts to consider what she said and offer a response.

The room oozed of power and desire. It was clear to Sempra that the primevil rested more or less on the same type of foundation as the cartel. But instead of a dark religion his goons followed the universal law of credit worship. Well, more often then not at least.

He listened intently to each and everyone who had spoken and while his appearance was calm his mind worked franticly to take note of voices and notions of words.

"I do agree with your sentiments." he began with a dry voice.

"As you mention honored lord..." he adressed [member="Anja Aj'Rou"] "Our strength to a large extent lies in networks outside of domains under my direct control."

He turned to [member="Zambrano the Hutt"] s representative commodore Vun.

"One of my most important markets lies in the republic sphere, their open society has proven much profitable for many cartel operations - hence my interest in their dealings and what the Primeval might consider about it." he explained.

"The Mandalorians have not been a problem for the cartel. But we have already assisted you once regarding the mandalorians and we will do so again if necessary." he added more to remind them all of the past success their cooperation had nurtured.

"As for our mysterious silver jedi - we have not interacted with them as of yet." Sempra put his fingertips together and gazed down on the assembly.

"With the Silver jedi so close to Sriluur I am of course very willing to listen to your ideas around them."

Xander spoke up for the first time since he arrived here. The most he'd done was move over a little to cure a dull ache he'd gained due to being sat there for so long. "If the Silver Jedi try and attack either of us, we ought to stand up for ourselves. They lie in the center of us, that means we have the advantage. However, unless the attack us first, we ought to hold back and just go round"

He was sure that they'd attack eventually. He was also sure that they had the advantage, they were flanking the Silver Jedi on both sides, and even though they had a massive amount of force users, the Hutt Cartel had Jardo and Nyx and Primevil had Zamborano and probably a few others.

"Thoughts?"

Commodore Vun stood at attention as she listened to her compatriots and Host Lord speak. Why could she not be an aid or servant to an arguably more sane individual like the Host Lord? Why was her lot in life to babysit over a psycho Hutt with a penchant for murder and bodily functions... and his irritating Jawa apprentice as well!? That deplorable thing mimicked every damn despicable feature the Hutt radiated into the universe. Regardless of her personal musings of these things, she was actually paying attention to the various words being spoken on both sides, and assessed them expertly on her Data pad, drawing information from the opinions of her other Directory members listening in on the meeting.

It was agreed that both the Mandalorians and the Silver Jedi were a threat, though the Hutt mogul insisted upon their opinion of the Republic and its relative threat to their alliance. She supposed it was a legitimate worry considering that the strength of the Hutt cartel did lie in jeopardy should the Republic find the time to crack down on their underworld operations, in spite of the constant One Sith threat. With that in mind, she offered a proposition.

"With your help in securing our victory over the Mandalorians in Wayland, it should not be difficult to consider that we could provide a similar role to the Hutt Cartel should the Republic ever present a threat to your operations. With this mutual pact of support for our two closest and main threats to our burgeoning nations, it should strengthen our resolve when facing a more common enemy, such as the Silver Jedi and their ally in the Levantine Sanctum." She paused a moment to take a breath.

"The Cartel is free to withhold their forces from engaging with the Silver Jedi, unless engaged upon. But unless I am speaking out of turn, saying things that which I do not truly know, I believe that the Primeval has an invested interest in at least one particular world held under their jurisdiction. From what I understand, the Hutt Cartel's assistance in this manner, while appreciated, isn't necessary for at least this singular investment. For future endeavours though, it would be wise that should they retaliate, it would be of great assistance to us if the Cartel could provide a retaliatory strike of their own on another front of the Silver Jedi; separating them into two theatres of war. Mutual support for each other in each of these things, is likely to be expected. Likewise, any attack upon the Hutt Cartel or the Primeval should be assumed as a reason for either of our nations to support the other in their time of need. Am I correct in these assumptions?" She was hoping that they would bite at this most obvious organization of their alliance, as it seemed to her to be the most effective means to protect both their interests, and bolstering both of their forces.

Sempra puffed his cigar and listened to the voices around the table. This was a crucial moment for both parties and it was clear that their enemies de facto were the same. Well, the mandalorians were a people he would have prefered to avoid a war with. they often served as excellent mercenaries and contractors. Never the less, they had shown little interest in the cartel so far. the Primevil had been a solid ally on the other hand.

"That is true Commodore. As you are aware the cartel will continue to support your efforts of war. War opens new markets to us and we propser in the wake of it, hence several arms of our organisation will openly aid you whenever needed. This is my will." Sempra replied placing his large hand on the armrest to adjust his position.

"I believe that we can hold the republic out of cartel turf with non-agressional ways for the time being. But I am concerned that with you openly supporting the Sith Empire and me openly supporting you... they will add things together. I ask only that you keep that in mind, and be as discrete as possible." the hutt spoke with a voice directed toward the hostlord above all.

"Our business is expanding beyond our borders and we are looking to be given leeway to open markets in your worlds, wheres it does not collide with your own interests of course. The Cartel Holds sway over the largest slave operations in the galaxy and we can provide cheap labor for your worlds to rebuild or dig in. Just one of our many services." the hutt smiled.

""But," he continued. It was time to bring up the concern Sempra had for the future.
"My interests lay foremost in the core worlds of hutt space. We were tricked by the Red Ravens at Nal hutta and their cunning ways made me appear a fool in the hutt throne world. I mistake I will not repeat, a mistake I mean to repair whatever the costs." Sempra coughed some. He hated the subject but the fact was that he had lost against the Ravens on Nal Hutta. they had turned his own kin against him and the road back had been very long. Slowly, step by step he had now worked his way to regain influence and status there, and now he was soon on the door step of his beloved glorious jewel.

"The Raven beak has lost its edge however and it is not their claws that trouble me. But several of the former members of that organisation has embedded themselves in the so called Techno Union. I seek no conflict with them, but if they force my hand in hutt space I see no other way out. I have left their sphere of interest to the marginals of my operations, mainly to show them that I crave no conflict. But if they take that as a sign of weakness they are gravely mistaken."

"I will provide assistance against the Silver coalition and if need be the mandalorians. But I wish to know that you are calculating with a possible conflict with the Techno Union should that come to transpire."

Anja maintained a rather relaxed composure to all of this, she remained silent and listened the Commodore and Sempra spoke to one another.

There wasn't much to be said immediately, words came and went but making a proper point took something more than that--deep thought. Her somewhat meditative state allowed her to dissect the flowing information that existed throughout the verbal mediums between two people in a single conversation. From these voices she didn't just take into account what was being said, but how it was being said. Emotion, tone, the length between words and syllables; all of it was valuable data. Piecing together what she discovered the Host Lord was able to come to several conclusions and now would articulate a response.

"The Techno Union is of no threat to you, Supreme Mogul, so long as you do not present yourself as a threat to them." She didn't wish to navigate back to earlier topics, focusing on the immediate concerns of her ally.

Following that statement, "the Techno Union will not do anything to lessen their relationship with us, and I expect the same from the Cartel. Look to us as mutual interest. Both the Cartel and Techno Union seek business in our space, and direct conflict would only close the doors to our worlds." It was true, however, that indirect methods of conflict were likely... Afterall both were business centric and competition would be natural.

It was avoiding warfare--not competition--that the Host Lord wished to achieve. As long as the Hutt Cartel and Techno Union weren't actively fighting a war with one another she didn't care how they competed with each other.

[member="Sempra the Hutt"] | [member="Zambrano the Hutt"]

The answer sent a chill down Sempras central nerve core. It was as he had suspected. The Primevil most likely considered the Techno Union a valuable ally, perhaps more then the cartel. The Red Ravens move had already caused more damage then they could have before their merve with the madters of technology.
Sempra eyed the present leaders around the table sensing that he was trapped. The Primevil had nothing to loose here and had already moved away from its inital course, at least the course Sempra had thought they had.

Carefully Sempra placed his chalice back on the table. He watched the small ripples in the wine for a while considering the situation.

"I see." he finally answered with a troubled voice. He was no fool, he could read between the lines that there was no longer any help to be offered from the host lord when the Techno union made its move. Sempra was convinced that sooner or later that would happen but without the Primevil assistance such a conflict would be very troublesome.

"I can only point to the fact that even though it is no secret that the cartel is driven by the lust to control hutt space, using methods most other consider moraly gray... at least you will know where you have us."

"The techno union is shifting face as I shift slave dancers. Experts of technology, lords of the underworld, masters of the force... there is really no telling what they stand for."
there was a moment of silence as the hutt turned the glass giving renewed strength to the ripples in his mug.

"I agreed to look past the republic as a threat on your request, I agreed to support you in case of an attack by the Silver coalition and even against the mandalorians which does hurt my business. But I must now ask myself, what is our alliance worth to you host lord? Is the Techno Unions credits what will decide our path or have matters moved in a new direction since we began our discussions."
Sempra looked up. He had been around long enough to have been both tricked and conned on small and lesser scales. The Primevil leadership knew they had the upper hand on the situation with little too loose. They were winning their battles and the future appeared glorious. Had they forgotten why they had sought each other out in the beginning.
They held substantial military power and was clearly moving into new areas. Areas of influence that Sempra had not expected. They had begun talks when their interests were clearly seperated. Now areas of interests were more of a blur. Sempra was starting to feel as if this meeting had the intention of showing which party called the shots, not how they would support each other. Although, he tried to keep that thought to himself and merely looked around the table encouraging someone to reply.
