Description: Vong Duse, the Vong Wastes. They are the result of two failed terraforming attempts, first by the Vong and then the attempted reversal by the Galactic Alliance almost a millennium ago. No one knows why or how these areas failed to be terraformed back the way they were, nor how the Mandalorian creatures that survived evolved, however it is certain that these places are extremely dangerous. With the violent Vong creatures and soldiers left behind after the war that continued to breed even after the Mandalorian and GA effort to purge these places of the Vong within.

Now the Wastes are monitored by M.O.S. and patrolled by the Red Legion to limit the affect on Mandalore from the strange world on the other side, killing everything that dares venture from the Wastes. Due to the strict kill policy Adventurers and Explorers are incredibly rare and with the combination of the Mandalorian Kill policy and deadly things within, nearly no adventurer that enters is heard from again.

Within, the failed attempts at re-terraforming the Vong Wastes has left the Wastes volatile. Certain hot spots within the waste produce fumes that carry a variant of the Vongspawn virus and mountains of the gorgeous green gems that protrude from the surface are prone to eruptions of an acidic green liquid. The water is not safe to drink and yorik coral runs rampant in the caves, rivers, and in the decimated ghost towns within.

History: During the Yuuzhan Vong War several areas on the planet Mandalore were terraformed by the Vong. While most of these places were able to recover eventually, some were only worsened by the Galactic Alliance's attempts to re-terraform the planet after the war with the One Sith resulting in inhospitable wastelands of dangerous, yet strangely beautiful (at times) wastelands. The outskirts of these places were first patrolled by the GA rather than simply destroyed due to the volatile nature of the mysterious Vongspawn virus within. Without being sure what was keeping the virus alive in the Vong Wastes the GA couldn't simply destroy the areas and also risk damage to Mandalore's surface. The Mandalorian Chiefs also thought that due to the low population outside of main cities and settlements like Keldabe the Wastes were better to be patrolled and learned from than destroyed. Now the burden of patrol falls to the Red Legion of the Mandalorians.

The sub looks good, though there is one thing I'd like clarification on. How have the Mandos, in over a thousand years, not come in and wiped out anything that moved within the Wastelands? Or just wiped the Wastelands out completely? I just find it a little odd that this wasn't bombed into oblivion a long time ago.

Unlike a lot of other planets, compared to its size the Mandaloian population is pretty small and widely spread out and some of these places are so far away from people that there is no reason to. They also aren't sure how the bongs pawn virus is still alive and kicking in those places and just blowing them all up could unintentionally spread the disease so it's safer to just tell people not to go there. There was also the gulag plague that kinda gripped everyone's attention for a few hundred years
