DESCRIPTION
The effort to craft a singularly unique and beautiful piece to symbolize the union of their lives together has been one of Dissero’s greatest challenges, and that’s saying something. For a man who was accustomed to contriving complicated and complex artifacts that pose numerous uses and founts of power, the man knew he would have to fight his innate nature to craft something of simplicity to appeal to the elegant tastes of his future wife.

A single metal was chosen: silver, and purified to the utmost before receiving a very simple yet thorough application of alchemization for durability.

A single stone was chosen: black opal, cut, smoothed and polished to a pristine finish that would allow the natural variations of colors and flecking to show through. Opal was deliberately chosen for its telltale natural properties of energy and spiritual powers as detailed below:

"In the metaphysical world, Opal acts as a prism within the aura, bringing a full spectrum of Light energy to the system, soothing and clearing the emotional body, and boosting the will to live and the joy of one’s earthly existence. It enkindles optimism, enthusiasm and creativity, and allows for the release of inhibitions inspiring love and passion. Opal enhances cosmic consciousness and stimulates flashes of intuition and insight, yet is a protective stone for deep inner work, meditations, and lower world shamanic journeys."

On the underside of the opal, that which cannot be seen by the wearer or onlooker, Dissero applied his knowledge of Kasha crystal carvings with that of his and Rave Merrill’s research into the creation and use of Upari Crystals in order to draw out these naturally occuring properties of the stone. The effect, after completion and mild, controlled doses of imbued will, are similar in nature to a Kasha Stone: clarity of the mind in times of emotional duress, while also acting as a mild buffer against projected negative emotional energies towards the wearer.

The ring was meant to act as a way to help Verie maintain and grow her greatest strength: the mind, while offering mild protection against empathic assailants.

On the inside of the band Dissero engraved the simple message of “Always” and set within the letters a negligible amount of his blood - just enough to perform a Blood Trail on the ring so that he would always be able to find her while she wore it. As with any Force derived artifact, its powers are void within the sphere of an ysalamir or if contained within a Force-nullification field. The ring bears no set Force alignment and so could in theory be worn by any Force User - Jedi, Sith or inbetween, and be consistently effective.
