DESCRIPTION

An upgraded version of the V-3, the Elite are more powerful and durable than their forbearers, excepting the V-2. The Elite have been upgraded with greater armor and stronger mechanisms. The power is no longer supplied by a battery but by a scaled down generator that can supply power for general movement and combat for ten hours. Excessive maneuvering or power usage can drain the generator far more quickly and require a core resupply sooner.

The important part of this upgrade is the decision to step away from the almost complete conversion that was evidenced in V-3 and to a lesser extent V-2. The Elite instead relies upon a basic amputation of limbs and removal of the majority of internal organs. The torso and head are left almost entirely intact with advanced cybernetic implantation being the main method of interfacing with the mechanical body. The collection of wiring, microcomputers, and systems make the Elite susceptible to electronic warfare. In order to mitigate the danger of such weapons, the Elite have been outfitted with a shield emitter that covers the entirety of the armor and grants limited protection against blasters.

The armor is made of one quarter inch Duranium, enough under most circumstances to protect against most projectiles. Underneath the outer armor, mechanical inner workings are constructed so as to have an increased strength when compared to the majority of organics. This first allows the unit to move about with relative ease, even given its thick armor, but also makes the unit capable of more impressive physical feats. The mechanisms allow for more space for internal mechanisms related to computing and power. The armor has space for a single wrist mounted weapon or tech piece on the left arm. The rear wing like constructs on its back contain small repulsor coils that allow the unit to ‘fly’ for short duration. The coils allow a high jump or longer period levitation, the drain on the power is large and requires a long cooldown between uses.

The various implants as part of the augmentation process, increase the mental speed of the person. The person is able to interface directly with the computer and can understand most droid languages due to this. The computer allows person to utilize more computing power for purposes of their choice based on the situation, whether it be slicing into computers, calculating shot statistics, or plotting hyperspace jumps and anything in between. The computers are designed to take over control of the standard movement operations should the organic be incapacitated in any way. As with the V-3 standard, the system has a bacta injection system to keep the organic body living and well while operating. It is also intended to work alongside life support systems should any damage to the organic occur. The computers place the livelihood of the organic as highest priority and when given the option will attempt to maintain the life. These electronics as with most are capable of being manipulated by Force users using such techniques as are commonly used to affect droids electronics and wiring.

When the vitals of the organic fall beneath a certain bar, the suit takes over and puts the majority of power to the life support system while attempting to extricate from whatever situation appears to threaten the organic. If the area is found to be secure against known threats the suit will focus more power on the life support and what remains on the shields. If the vitals are stabilized the computers then attempt to contact for emergency services.

The addition of Lignan rods along the chest area are intended for Force user augmentations only. The system works similar to the Liberator concept in that it utilizes the organic’s natural Force sensitivity and augments it with the Dark Force within the rod to increase the strength of the user. It does not however allow a non-Force user to utilize Force capabilities, unlike the Liberator. The rod allows an untrained Force user to have strength usually associated with trained individuals, an unlearned person in the methods of the Force would have the strength (not control) of a person with beginner training in Force usage. While trained individuals will be capable of utilizing their abilities with less drain on their own person. This allows the person to accomplish tasks with only half the effort, which can help the individual in longer confrontations. As with the Liberator, the device draws power from the user, which can quickly tire the organic to the point of complete exhaustion if not careful.

To what degree?

Ultimatum said:
The collection of wiring, microcomputers, and systems make the Elite susceptible to electronic warfare.
Please add this to the weaknesses.

Additionally, please specify how susceptible the computer is to mechu-deru or force-based slicing techniques.

Material: Duranium
Duranium can withstand glancing blows from lightsabers, please add this to the strengths.

Lastly, please add vulnerability to EMPs to the weaknesses.

Thank you for working with me.

I believe I have made the adjustments requested.

I was uncertain how to word the rod's usefulness to trained individuals and decided to alter it slightly. Does that work?

LOOM does not produce droids, please link a suitable manufacturer.

Increased Physical and Mental Prowess
By how much?

Ultimatum said:
Production: Limited
Upon discussion, please drop this to Semi-Unique.

Lastly: you've submitted various droids recently that are considerably similar to this one. Are there any meaningful differences?

I believe I have made the adjustments you asked for.

As for the reasons, each is distinct and intended for differing roles. The Elite are intended to be officers over the others, or guards for particular people. Each uses a different method of organic integration.

How easily?

Force usage with the Lignan rods draws on the person's Force connection
You specify that this system works similarly to the Liberator. From its sub:
The device draws on a wearers inherent Force energy, thus if used often enough it can leave a wearer debilitated or worse
Please add this into the above weakness.

How easily?
I would guess as easily as any electronic. There's nothing particularly special that should stop it. At the same time I would guess that if a person were using the Lignan rods they could defend against the attacks. I don't know enough about that niche ability set to make a judgment on it.

The two you asked me to put in are supposed to have the same meaning, just different verbage. I've expanded what was already in the weaknesses in order to make it more similar to these two. This works similar, not the same, while it draws on the person's Force connectivity the people who use them are supposed to be more powerful. These rods are intended to supplement their power, rather than to grant powers they would usually not have. If that makes sense. The difference being the Liberator was for non-Force users while this is for Force users.

Can Strengthen Force Abilities (Rare)
  1. The production on this is semi-unique, making them nearly one of a kind to begin with. How does the wording of enhanced Force abilities then make it more rare?
  2. What specifically is granting this trait to begin with?
  3. What determines this capability?
  4. To what extent are Force abilities enhanced?

1. Merely the fact that the Lignan rods are only useful to Force sensitive V-3s. Thus non-FS V-3s will not have the rods

2-4. Quoted from the last paragraph.

The addition of Lignan rods along the chest area are intended for Force user augmentations only. The system works similar to the Liberator concept in that it utilizes the organic’s natural Force sensitivity and augments it with the Dark Force within the rod to increase the strength of the user. Does this work as clarification?
