Strengths:
  • Fast: Secondary engines can be activated at any time to give a large bonus in speed, but takes away from maneuverability.
Weaknesses:
  • No Barrel Rolls: Secondary engines take the place of thrusters that would otherwise help with turning.
  • Cannot fire ion cannons while molecular shield is up.
  • Ass is Grass: No weapons or defenses besides shield cover the aft part of the ship.
Description: Created by Vitiate, the Unity Cruiser Carrier is meant to function as a balance between a Heavy Cruiser, and a Cruiser Carrier. A smaller complement certainly, not as maneuverable, but with slightly more guns, and additional engines than the standard Carrier allows this ship to perform rapid response duties. With an armament that allows it to stand up to other capital ships, dish out damage in return, and to move quite quickly, it is a near perfect ship to drop on your faction's outer borders for early warning, or for stalling the enemy.

this is a bit too fast for a ship this size. Standard speed for a carrier/cruiser is 15. Your Maneuverability is reduced which can give you a bump but without development make the speed 12 for speed 10 you would need 20 posts of development.

at mass production Molecular shielding would need 20 posts I won't ask for dev on the matrix armor since you have reduced maneuvering and some good weaknesses to balance it out.

If you would like to lower the production level we can discuss reducing the development for the speed and Molecular shielding.

I recommend lowering the production level. Unless your just wanting this to be available to everyone, even then minor would work. IF its just meant for the First order, limited production, limiting it to the faction will help.

so
Make it limited production, speed 12 and do 10 posts of development.
Make it minor production, speed 12 and do 20 posts of development
for speed 11 add 10 posts
for speed 10 add 20 posts

Generally, for molecular shielding I ask for the following
limited molecular 10 posts
minor molecular 20 posts
Mass Molecular 30 posts
it really is a powerful tech. But like everything dev can be balanced out with weakness.
Limited production speed 12 would allow you to keep the armor and shielding for 10 posts. The weaknesses more than balance speed +3 speed increase and the matrix armor. The shielding is what I would like the development for. :)
