ToC:Triam Akovin VS Vulpesen

Here they were, the semi-finals of the Tournament of the Cauldron. For the first time in two rounds the battles returned to the planet of Rattatak, two unique locations upon the world, two difficult battle grounds in which they would have to fight.
Though the battles returned to Rattatak, they did not return to the Cauldron. Instead the fights were placed elsewhere on the planet. The gladiatorial world was massive in size and had terrain ranging from deserts to mountains to tundra's, and even in one small part a jungle. This fight however, the fight between @[member="Vulpesen"] and now crowd favorite @[member="Triam Akovin"] would take place in none of these areas. Instead the fight was destined to occur somewhere else.
Within the Cauldron massive HoloScreens and huge projectors remained pitch black, they showed nothing at all. Then finally something flickered, and a green haze appeared over the screens.
The nightvision mode of the camera drones showed the environment of the second bout of the semi-finals. A dark deep undisturbed cavern, Stalactites, stalagmites, pitfalls, and deep blackness like a person who had seen the sun could never believe. This was the setting of the second semi-final, complete and total darkness.
The Queens of Rattatak rose from their thrones with smiles on their faces. Nemene uttered only a single word
“Begin!”

Blackness.

"Not a problem." As the screens back at the Couldron took on a green hue, so too did Akovin's vision within her helmet. This would be interesting. Semi-finals, three mind boggling rich gems were almost within her grasp, and even if she didn't get them her name and popularity sky rocketed after her fight with Ashin Varanin. She got to join a very special club that day, with the honor of not only be allowed to hit Ashin Varanin, not only allowed to weaken her gimpy knee further in a short list of people capable of that, not only actually hitting her, not only did she survive hitting her, she had the unparalleled honor...

...of watching her throw up afterwords. That was kinda gross. But she issued a warning to her, having apparently studied her next opponent. She would admit, that it was probably likely that Ashin didn't expect so much from her, and thus study considerably less than some of her other opponents. She was, after all, the sole representative of every Force-insensitive everywhere across the galaxy. Such endorsements and advertisements were going to work wonders on her currently tiny business status.

Apparently this Vulps dude liked to combine a fighting style of 'nades, 'nives, 'n everything nice, before trying to blade you up. She smirked at this. She couldn't be worried too much about grenades, her shield belt would take care of that, and her armor was already proven to be strong enough to take on a full telekinetic assault through a metal wall by... you guessed it! Ashin Varanin.

"Damn, ain't nothin' is going to be the same to me any more..." She whispered to herself as she stalked the cavern. She couldn't stop comparing everything to that woman. She doubted there would be anyone quite like her. But she didn't allow herself to get cocky. She had to remember that there was a significant advantage of environment at play in that duel, that undoubtedly there were factors that helped her win... the most important being that Ashin was a good person. Had she been that dreaded Sith Empress she heard about vaguely in her teens... she might not have survive the first room.

Luckily though, she was facing another Jedi, and with her notes from the amazing field test in her last duel, she felt adequately prepared. The environment was sturdy, so she did even think twice about bringing her Kitty Kat Kurb Stomp Boots. Obviously she had her I. Assualt U. Armor, as well as her Phantom Fingers, and Mechanical Hand. All of these were repaired. However, one thing she decided to invest for this fight, was an Armorweave Underlay IV, in order to give herself maximum protection from any electrical based attack.

Additionally, since it was likely that an electrical attack might short out such vital equipment as her boots, she tweaked their design slightly in order to incorporate a quick release mechanism, and made room in there to make sure she could fit extra shoes so she didn't have to run around barefoot if her boots malfunctioned.

As always, she carried the standard Republic Blaster Rifle, and two blaster pistols. No visual contact with the enemy- opponent, she corrected herself, after realizing she generally liked Ashin Varanin.

@Vulpesen

Vulpesen sighed as he sat within the darkness. The force was flowing through him, allowing him to see through the shadows. In some ways, he was fortunate to be in a place like this. Vulpesen had spent half a year as a street rat on Nar Shadaa. Although this in of itself was nothing too terrific, his job as a street rat was what made the adventure so interesting. He had worked to break crime rings and when that'f what you do for a living, you learn real fast that stealth is key. He had learned to walk light and strike fast, something that these shadows would aid him in doing. Of course, Vulpesen's use of the force was also a large factor. If he played his cards right, @[member="Triam Akovin"] would never even know where he was.

Around him he wore a light armor weave chest plate which lay beneath a black set of robes. Everything on him had been placed in dark shades. Even his lightsaber's scales were changed with a black covering. Hidden within the fabric was a five concussion grenades, his twenty-five daggers, and the previously mentioned saber. Triam's check into his battle was correct. Although, there was no environment that gave him this kind of advantage.

With his clothes and experience, there was one more advantage that he was clinging to. The force. He had heard of great jedi masters being felled by a lucky blaster bolt, or outsmarted by a clever bounty hunter. With this in mind, Vulpesen didn't place all his confidence in his powers. Still, it was still very comforting to know that there was a supernatural force on your side. Indeed, Vulpesen would use this tool to its fullest advantage. Speaking of the force, Vulpesen was still a jedi. As such, he was required to give a surrender. Preferring not to give away his position, the jedi allowed the force to flow through him as he spoke into the caverns, finding Triam's presence so that he could direct the sound towards her after echoing the words around to hide his location. "First of all, i certainly hope that neither of us dies today. Further more, I'm afraid I must ask for your surrender before you end up getting too hurt in this match." Did he have any expectation that she would give in? Hell no. At least now, no one could say that he didn't try.

(OOC: Really sorry. Been dealing with SAT's, finals, EOCs, basically every academic test you can think of, its been one after another. As well as some other things.)

@[member="Vulpesen"] (Not a problem)

Triam halted at the sound of her opponents voice. She didn't know how far down the tunnel he was, or for that matter, if he was in front or behind her. Nonetheless she was prepared for anything... also, Vulps was going to have to better than wearing black to stay out of sight, she was wearing goggles. She kept her rifle tightly in an aimed position. The echoing was an annoyance but generally disregarded. She didn't need to seek him out by his voice, she just needed to wait for him to get the gall to attack her. Lightsaber? No problem! Explosives? Bring 'em on! Knives? We're in the modern age baby! Okay, so maybe she got a little cocky, but the bouts didn't generally last very long. She was aware of the risks inherent in her situation, and calculated the strengths and weaknesses of the both of them... as far as to her knowledge and limited understanding of her opponent. Ashin had warned her of Vulps use of grenades and knives. Considering the circumstances she assessed that he probably altered their paths using telekinesis, such fine tuned manipulative power was fairly dangerous, having remembered Ashin's own hold on her last pistol... before she decided she was going to punch her in the gut and make her puke.

She also recognized that he was at a rather good advantage in these tunnels, but obviously with the unpredictability of explosives and structural collapse, he was as much as endangered by them as she was. It would be wiser to limit the number of explosives altogether. That's why she brought flares! Just in case any of her electronic sight was somehow hampered. She admitted that she didn't particularly enjoy this environment as much, virtually no cover, tight corners, closed in. At least there was no water... her electrical weapons didn't agree with water too much when Triam was around, it tended to burn her feet.

She did however, learn a thing or two from her last duel. Ashin had done her something something I'm-a-Jedi thing and waited for her attacks. She decided in this situation, she would employ a similar strategy. Let him tell her where he was, and then she would handle the rest. To do that, she decided to enthuse him with conversation.

"You know this is a tournament right? That's like... automatically saying that unless you wuss out I'm going to kill you. There is three Corusca Gems on the line here, and I'm in the Semi's, after managing to defeat an Infamous former Sith Empress- Jedi now obviously. Not attempting to brag, but that is a severe confidence boost, and I dare say, up until now I had never heard of you. I'm not impressed."

His voice echoed again, once again hiding him. Still, he didn't want any unnecessary words so his response came in one word. "Understood." Making his move through the shadows, the jedi kept his feet light on the ground, avoiding any unnecssary sound as he made his way towards @[member="Triam Akovin"]. He would do his best not to kill her, but when pressed, Vulpesen had absolutely no problems with knocking this girl on her hind end. Then again, that wasn't his only problem. He might have been a grey jedi, but he still believed in never dealing the first blow, only the last one.

He made his way through the tunnels, getting himself closer to Triam as he slipped through the shadows. She was right about one thing. This was a tournament in which a lack of attacks was far from needed. No, instead he would have to give her that first strike. Purposefully moving close enough that she may notice him, Vulpesen clicked his boot on a rock. Ok, maybe he wasn't obeying the spirit of his law, but at least he was obeying the letter of the law. If she took the bait and attacked, he was at the peak of his guard, keeping a tight grip on his saber in case he needed it in the next split second. Let the fun begin.

@[member="Vulpesen"]

Click. Subtle, give her your position entirely why don't you? She swung around to face the black assassin... who to her looked more like the green assassin she supposed. Night vision was wonky like that. She might laugh about it later. But one thing was obvious to her, he had billowy robes that undoubtedly held knives and explosives, the numbers of each unknown, and the very fact that he wore a robe thus far suggested he wasn't wearing all that much armor. That then raised the question of why? Was he a speedy Jedi, or was he like Ashin with that ability to simply have blaster rounds dissipate on her skin? Perhaps he would be the confirmation of her first fear of Ashin, that maybe he could absorb that energy. That would be rather bad, but not the end of the world.

Of course though there was only one way to find out, using the Scientific Method! Which entailed shooting at it... a lot. Though as she quickly went through her inventory she was triple checking to make certain that was going to be her attack. She could fire the blaster rounds, and he might deflect them, or otherwise render their effects inert using the force, since it appeared obvious he lack sufficient armor to have be at all protective. She could launch her Phantom Fingers, and give a couple jolts of various types. That though would reveal she had such a weapon, but in all honesty could she ask for any better an environment? The enemy was not yet in attack position, enclosed space... it was almost unavoidable for him to evade such an attack! But she still didn't have a whole lot of info on him, wasn't aware of his abilities yet. Did that matter to her? Did she need to understand her adversary before conquering it? Perhaps. Besides, she still hadn't had a chance to try out her boots.

Ultimately she turned towards the figure and opened fire full auto. In such an enclosed space, evasion to her seemed impossible, and she knew the limits of Jedi and their ability to block blaster bolts. Their speed and precog was not infallible. This way also it was an almost ensure she would know what his armor capabilities were and not have to worry a whole lot about blaster redirection restricting her visibility. At least, that was what was assumed.

So she made the first move, so what!

Vulpesen's eyes caught the weapon in his enemies hand and he recognized the design instantly. He didn't know the model, but he certainly knew a weapon with automatic firing capability. That could hurt! Leaping forward, Vulpesen avoided the blaster fire, by inches. He heard the bolts slam into the wall just by where he had been and he was instantly grateful that the move had been a trap. The last thing he needed was to end up 66'ed. Of course, there was another problem with his move. @[member="Triam Akovin"] now knew exactly where he was. He was safe behind a nice stalagmite, but he was still known. "You could be a little nicer ya know!" Activating his saber, the jedi slashed the top of formation off, and gripped the large pointy spike in the force before hurling it at his enemy with the speed of an arrow. Another perk of the force. You didn't need to see your enemy to attack them. She'd made her move. Now it was his turn to make his.

@[member="Vulpesen"]

Throwing a whole rock formation at her... and he was asking her to be nice!

Whelp, there wasn't much she could do to counter that, so as soon as that things started to topple over, lifted in the air, she scrambled down the corridor. Somehow, being jello didn't sound all that enticing. Her fire ceased obviously, with the Jedi somehow evading, but now there was a heckaton of rubble in her way between where she last saw her enemy.

So then, this was a maze fight. Greeeat.

She got up and started to trot down the corridor, not even bothering attempting to get through it. One thing though she noticed, was that the Jedi really didn't like the idea of an automatic rifle in close quarters. Good to note, that might be useful later, and help to alleviate a great deal, her worry of his ability to dissipate her blaster fire. That didn't mean he couldn't necessarily, it just told her that enough of it in a split second wasn't enough time to prepare for it in that bulk. Again, good to note, might be useful later.

She continued to observe and listen down the corridor, searching for a connector between Vulps' tunnel/chamber/whatever it was and the corridor she was currently in.

Vulpesen let out a sigh of relief and relaxed against the remainder of his stone. She just had to bring in the big gun. It seemed his opponents were gradually switching between weapon types in this fight. First a saber and shield, then a lack of weaponry, next a rifle which switched to a saber, and finally he was dealing with machine guns. At the moment, he was really glad he had studied as a jack of all trades. Deactivating his blade, Vulpesen got up and moved through the caverns again, using the force to get a mark on @[member="Triam Akovin"]. The living force was a powerful and useful tool, especially when one was stuck in a place like this. Lets play a game. He might have been a jedi, but he was also a street rat for a time, and in those months he had learned to play dirty, a lesson that had never really left him. With the aid of the force, Vulpesen did his best to slip around Triam, using the cover of rock formations to avoid her goggles as his feet now silently traversed the ground, much quieter now that he had no intention of letting her hear him.

Of course, not letting her hear him was not saying she wasn't allowed to hear at all. As he made his way towards her, the jedi extended himself to various rocks in the caverns, hurling them against the walls creating a racket that would come from any direction. Sometimes he would place himself far out to hurl a couple on the other side of his opponent, and sometimes they would fling themselves around his hidden location. All the stones really had in common was their controlling force, and their small size.

"You'll have to do better than pebbles to get to me Jedi. Why don't you throw another stalagmite? Just kidding, don't do that. Or I might be forced to kill you." She joked dead pan as she searched around the room. Before the pebbles started flying everywhere, it would have been likely Vulps' movements would be a lot easier to distinguish, since rocks didn't generally move, and his dark covers were essentially useless.

She would be honest in saying she did not expect this kind of fight... she didn't particularly like it. Not because it wasn't hard, but because it lacked a continuous thrill. The battle was still young obviously, but this wasn't anything like her last fight... where within the first minute or less, she was telekinetically thrown through a metal wall after being electrocuted by her own devices. That was fun... not in the moment of course, but looking back at it was. If this was what amounted as the rest of the fight, she would be sorely disappointed later on. Of course she'd be stoked if she won in the moment, but it would be far from memorable.

In this situation she calculated two options: wait for him to be done, and just do something already; or seek him out somehow. There was a ruckus of noise so she couldn't depend on her ears/tech, and there was motion from all the rocks detracting from her ability to detect minutiae movement through stalagmite shafts. She had a feeling that Thermal vision would be much more helpful here, but nope, she went for nightvision. Oh well, she would make do with her failing.

She opted to stand right where she was, and take the measly beating that created clanging metallic sounds off of her Ultrachrome armor, and duller thuds when they hit her cloak.

"I won't play your games Jedi, when I'm around, we play by my rules." She called out.

Vulpesen relaxed by a stone pillar, using it to shield him from view. Night vision might do something of a good job, but black clothes on dark grey rock didn't exactly stand him out in stark contrast. Having carefully gotten to this point, Vulpesen was unwilling to risk getting out again to risk revealing himself, or get caught in his next plan. Slowly increasing the size of the rocks being thrown at @[member="Triam Akovin"]. Don't be so sure. Careful not to break the flow of his attack, Vulpesen flicked out one of his concussion grenades and tossed it up, hurling it with several other rocks to allow it to blend in. Under the disguise of a simple rock, the grenade would likely be able to get in close to Triam at which point, Vulpesen would simply activate the weapon.

Assuming nothing was done to stop it (an unlikely occurrence), blast would do its damage not only to Triam, but to the cavern around her, shacking stalactites from the ceiling and caving in the walls. Needless to say, at this point, Vulpesen would realize the need to get out of there and would jump to his feet, using the force to aid him as he dashed away, a luxury that his enemy did not have. In truth, Vulpesen was in some ways depending on her armor. One, he wanted her disabled not killed. He was simply that kind of guy. Two, the armor would likely slow her down a bit, large amounts of weighty armor tended to do that. Even when aided by cybernetics, the armor would likely prove a bit bulky, not something you wanted when bit rocks were falling all around you. Vulpesen didn't like this battle type either, but when your enemy's got the machine gun, there;s not much you can do except for play with tricks like these.

@[member="Vulpesen"]

Triam began to take a more irritate and guarded stance as the intensity of the rock throwing increased, and she was getting annoyed. She was real close to popping a flare to reveal his location, but that wouldn't really help her rock situation, and the flare wouldn't be too good with her helmet up, which she needed due to the rocks. Swirling around the room with her blaster, hoping for the glimpse she needed to open fire and toast the Jedi.

Toast. Oh that would have been awesome! She would have to remember for next time to get a flame thrower, this would have been the perfect environment! Alas, she did not have one, just an automatic blaster rifle and two pistols. She also had a shield belt made specifically to protect miners from explosives... but before you think I'm OP and I activate it, I will assure you that is the exact opposite of what's going to happen.

Blended in perfectly (almost, after all it was round where rocks are jagged, a thing she noticed just a moment before, though lacking time for her belt), the grenade went off. She was blasted away in uncomfortable surprise, and heard a few ribs crack- again! She just got those fixed up. Her head was in a daze, and her electronic sight flickered a bit from the shockwave, but it was still kicking. She looked around and quickly got to her senses. Tumbling stalagmite and falling rocks that probably weren't under control of any Jedi. With eyes widened she reacted immediately.

Unfortunately for Vulps, his dependency on her armor was misplaced. It was a bit heavy, and it did hinder movement, but all that went away when an anti-gravity element was introduced into play. From the ground she activated her Repulsor pack and jetted out of the chamber as a rather big stalagmite crashed down where she was. So she took the grenade but negated the after effects. She was a bit injured, but it would take a lot more than that to really slow her down. Deciding she didn't want to take any other chances like that she activated her shield mid flight.

Luckily for her she was going roughly the same way as Vulps, partly because of coincidence and partly because it's hard to be stealthy while running. His sound was covered pretty well from the calamity but her nightvision was picking up his lateral body accelerating at a pace that didn't pass for a rock. On his tail, she deactivated the anti-grav and landed on her feet, and chased the shadow of Vulps around the corner of the corridor, rifle ready to bring the action.

Vulpesen growled as he felt her light coming towards him. His eyes were forsaken, relying on the force for his sith. The rock formations would be harder to see than usual, but there were a few advantages. Anything alive was like a burning torch in the darkness. To his pleasurable surprise, @[member="Triam Akovin"] was very much alive. Of course, her pain showed through her vitality. He wasn't completely sure what he'd hit, but he could tell that he hit it hard.

Having gotten out of the rocks, with a plan before, the sense of danger he gleamed from the stones was minimal at best, leaving him completely aware of Triam's preparations. "Not so fast!" He might be in a bit of a retreat, but there was no reason he couldn't strike and run. Flicking his saber back on, Vulpesen brought the golden blade through the formations around him, becoming a swirling circle of gold and black as the pikes fell from the ceiling or started toppling from their pillars. Of course, that wasn't his entire plan. Using a blast from the past, Vulpesen faced Triam head on, moving into a back pedal. Throwing his hands forward, Vulpesen sent the large spikes towards triam, starting with an initial pattern of five down the the narrow area. In an attempt to keep her space as small as possible, he did his best to keep each weapon in an evenly spaced pattern, much as one would see on a die. "I'm afraid you were wrong on one account. When you're fighting me, there are no rules!"

@[member="Vulpesen"]

Okay then, spike wall. Let's deal with that. In her inventory she had a rifle, two pistols, a repulsor pack, Phantom fingers, a quite durable however segmented I. Assault U. Armor, Kitty Kat Kurb Stomp Boots, flares, a shield belt, and that was about it. So she didn't have anything to stop that particular attack, and she could attempt to dodge through it, but in her mind she currently had the Jedi on the run. After all, was it not she chasing him now? If memory recalled, Triam had had a similar strategy with Ashin, however, she made a very clear point. Running from your enemy didn't give any advantage, as your enemy didn't need to chase you. They could just sit back and wait for an attack, and if no attack came they won.

Of course circumstances were a tiny bit different now, but the principle was roughly the same. Having just came from around a corner, there was one easy solution, reverse direction and roll behind the corner she came from. One of the spikes scrapped past he foot, but her Neuranium protection shrugged it off like nothing. She got back up, grunting a bit from her ribs. Okay then, she wouldn't stay in the open of a corridor. She got to the edge, poked her head out and opened fire. Badumbadumbadumbadum!

Vulpesen growled and leaped towards another cover, feeling the heat of the blaster burn through the side of his leg. "Bloah, that hurts!" The jedi called upon the force again, feeling triam's position as she fired shot after shot against him. He was running out of options, and his attacks were starting to run out of tricks. He needed to change things up, NOW! Safe behind the de-topped stalagmite, Vulpesen searched for his next plan. "Come on... come on." Rocks. Lots and lots of rocks. That's all he had to work with. Of course, once he thought for a moment, that's all he needed.

Forsaking one of his biggest rules of combat, Vulpesen detached half of his lightsaber and threw it across the cavern, using the force to guide the flying blade through several formations, cutting them from their places for his own usage. Once his saber was back in his possession, Vulpesen started pulling the stones towards him, forming a stone wall of defense for him to crouch behind. It was only a bit taller than his current hiding place, but it certainly much wider. "Alright, let's get this show on the road!" Using his new riot shield, Vulpesen made his way towards Triam, keeping his saber lit as the stones moved in front of him, steadily advancing on @[member="Triam Akovin"].

@[member="Vulpesen"]

Triam saw the blade fly around before the rubble it created fell behind to the position of her opponent, with a degree of satisfaction she heard that she had wounded him. It seemed like a desperate move. This was his first assault, and she admitted that she enjoyed the creativity a bit. A stone riot shield? Awesome! Some times she was only a tiny bit jealous of a Force users versatility; but then she remembered that she had the same, if not more versatility than they did often times, her only fall back in that respect was lacking the immediacy that Force users were granted. She was learning all the time in these fights, and she already discovered something she hadn't thought of. Next time instead of finding cover, she would find a way to make it herself in any combat situation. That was for later though, she had to focus on the now.

But at any rate, whatever she did it granted the desired effect. Her opponent was coming out in the open and she was ready to play. Ordinarily she was a ranged opponent, but it seemed that that strategy wasn't in her cards today. Good thing she was fairly well rounded. Since the riot shield was described as only really covering the Jedi, Triam's writer assumed there would be gap, albeit narrow one, above him. She took advantage of this gap, and as she ceased fire and jumped out to the open, she stretched and flexed her hand, shooting the Phantom Fingers above Vulpesen, where they latched on to the cavern roof. She started to zip through the air towards that point.

She had two strategies she could take and she had to choose one. Either she could keep zipping and get a position behind the Jedi's riot shield, which risked a few things: 1) he could turn around with the riot shield thus making her move more or less obsolete in the long run, 2) he could try and grab her mid flight. With the second point and mind, and the possibility of the first point being very true, she decided on a rather awesome solution.

While she was zipping above Vulpesen, and before or at the same time he might try and grab on to her, or crush her with the riot shield, she activated her ridiculously heavy, Neuranium boots.

"Chereo!" She called out to deactivate the repulsion system that suspended the Neuranium's weight, causing her to come crashing down on top of the Jedi's position. She changed it from "brace" because in all likelihood there was a chance she might say that in a combat situation not intending to activate her crushing boots, such as if she was on a ship telling people to brace for impact. This way it was very unlikely for her to ask every one to "Chereo for impact!". Which frankly, didn't make any sense, there for it was a great activation key.

If the Jedi tried to bring the Riot shield up, in all likelihood her boots would probably break through it, or if it didn't, he wouldn't be able to hold her fabulously increased weight for very long. However, her height wasn't very substantial, so the damage wouldn't come from impact with the ground, though in theory that could be done in a different environment. So the only way it could really damage the Jedi in terms of injury was if she landed right on top of him. She would also have a short moment of vulnerability in movement, since her boots would plant her to the ground until she activated her suspension system. She still had her rifle, and her glove though, so the Jedi may find it difficult to capitalize on that.

Vulpesen watches in amazement as @[member="Triam Akovin"] used a rather unexpected maneuver. He had thought she'd pull out a bigger gun and try hammering away, but of course this gal just seemed full of surprises. Following her movements, Vulpesen watched as she stopped just above him. Chereo? Wait, the generally means- "Nope!" By the way she was dropping, Vulpesen could tell those were no ordinary boots, besides he had better plans than trying to catch the galaxy's most extreme trust fall. Leaping to the side, Vulpesen growled at the pain in his leg. Wait... pain in his leg. He had leverage. In mid-roll, Vulpesen reached out his hadn and and caught the falling @[member="Triam Akovin"] in the force. Chereo indeed. Bringing his hand down, Vulpesen forced Triam down even harder than she already was, hoping the impact would jar her earlier sustained wound.

Regardless of what such a tactic would give him, Vulpesen would move on to activate both ends of his lightsaber, moving forward in a flurry of blows aimed at each of her weapons. He didn't want to kill her, and her weapons were so far her biggest advantage against him. They needed to be neutralized, and quick. His first target would be the machine gun, then to the pistols. If she wanted to win this battle, then she'd need a better plan than a simple cannon-ball. Although, he did enjoy the idea behind the attack.

@[member="Vulpesen"]

"Ooof!" Triam hollered out as the knee suspenders brought her low, basically buckling. She wasn't expecting such a hard landing, with the cracks spread out from where she landed. That was an interesting impact, considering that her height had not been so substancial. She could only imagine her fall had been accelerated unnaturally. Good move. She noted in her head. She had indeed been jarred by the impact more than she expected, and as she rose from her short fall (another grunt, she may have sprained an ankle, and her ribs definitely did not like this), she looked up to the saber toting Jedi. In a second her rifle was sliced to bits.

But that only made her smile. Even with her precarious situation with her boots, the Jedi made two crucial mistakes. He got in close, real close if he was attacking her directly. The second? He was using lightsabers. He wouldn't have to worry much about hurting her in this armor of hers, so long as he didn't try to stab her for a prolonged period of time, which he wouldn't be allowed to do anyway. Discarding the gun as hot shrapnel in towards the Jedi, she attempted to back hand his lightsabers with her cortosis gauntlet to deactivate them. Then while that happened, she would launch her fingers at him with a nice dose of drugs and tazering all ready for him.

If he stood there, well the obvious happens. If he ran, she seriously doubted he could dash ten meters away when they were launched directly in his face. Her writer purposely forgot to have Triam activate her suspension system in her boots, to give her opponent a slight advantage from his troubling position.

Vulpesen grinned as the weapon was taken apart, leaving of her without the major annoyance. Of course, there was still trouble as she managed to deactivate his sabers and hurl her slagged weapons into his face. Out of pure instinct, Vulpesen ducked his head, flinching as the metal smacked him on top of the head. Painful, but he'd be alright. As for the phantom fingers, Vulpesen's very first lessons helped him with those. A soldier who moves, his valor he proves. The jedi moved even closer, bringing his forearm to bear against that of his enemy, forcing her arm upwards, Vulpesen would only have a small spasm as the wires grazed his shoulder. He who stands still, is a target to kill! Bringing up his other arm, Vulpesen would use the the hilt of his deactivated sabers as more of a bludgeon, stabbing with force enhanced strength at the night vision goggles. He wasn't a master of enhancement by any means, but he was good enough to put ample force behind the weapon in his hands.

Her hand shot up, as the Jedi got in close. She heard the five hooks land in the ceiling, attempting to inject the hallucinogenics into the inert wall, while the wires were live and the Jedi spasmed as his shoulder made a degree of contact. Which was weird since this wasn't like touching something you shouldn't, these were real nasty tazers of voltage. Didn't matter, really, what didn't work though. What did work, was a lack of lightsaber, and the Jedi for some reason was attempting to continue his assault. But in her mind, he was against nearly overwhelming odds.

His hilt hit the side of her head with unlikely strength, and he head went for a whirl as more than one sensor array went black... I mean that by the Nightvision failing and her seeing spots while their was darkness. Which obviously wasn't preferable. She decided she didn't like this situation. How did she solve? Angrily she pulled and flexed her hand appropriately to retract the grappling hooks, so they would come back to her and hopefully latch into the Jedi's back. If not, she still reached out to grab him be the shoulder, to electrocute him that way. Then with her other hand, she grabbed on to her pistol and jammed it between them and fired. It they did, she would do the same thing, only in addition to being electrocuted she would drug him enough to make him unfamiliar with his own hand let alone disable him from the force.

Whilst doing this, through gritted teeth she screamed, "Clear!" and her boots were deactivated. She would still need to pull them out of their shoe sized holes, so she was still fairly immobile, but not as immobile as she was just a moment before. She didn't need to see to shoot something she could feel, if she could feel him of course. And if all this failed, she still had flairs to act as her vision from now on.
