Tinker Tinker Smash [ATTN: RRDI]

Causality: the greatest foe anyone could face. You could fire a blaster at a charging Rancor, you could choke the life out of an opposing Sith, you could drop asteroids on a planet defying you, but at the end of the day causality was untouchable. Whatever acts one performed sent out ripples in ways unpredictable or unknowable. Something as innocuous as stealing a cup could see a world burned. Other times the cause was more obvious; in this case, sending a fleet into sovereign space over a matter of severance pay.

That wasn't their concern though. The Corellian Eclipse were hired out for a simple reason: to take out the factories of Ri'ess Regal Drive Industries. There was some manner of bad blood, corporate warfare, at play that Leon simply didn't give two karks about. He'd been offered a job, and the job is what he cared about.

It was for that reason then that the small fleet came out of hyperspace over Crystalsong. Consisting of seven Myriad-class corvettes, a Nebulon B9 frigate, a Sentinel-class cruiser and a single Unyielding-class command cruiser. The latter was there was a gift from Corellian Engineering for services rendered and support given to the corporation. The Sentinel was a reward from the Protectorate for services rendered at Kriselist.

From the bridge, Leon looked down at the world below. At the tail end of oblivion, the planet had next to no technology or defenses to speak of. No galactic power was there to give them aid. Their own technological level was woefully dated. Most of the population were primatives. Oh well, it wasn't his place to judge the tactical merits of some people. He was simply there to do his job.

"Get ready to broadcast the following message on all channels." Leon turned to the comm officer and waited til he got a nod of confirmation before continuing. "People of Crystalsong. You have among you an infestation that sows chaos and destruction. Ri'ess Regal Drive Industries has been marked and we are here to carry out the sentence. If we are permitted, we will peacefully set out to secure and dismantle the offending factories. If we are resisted, we will meet force with force. Ours is not the intent to cause harm or destruction, but we will not be deterred from our job."

With that, the Sentinel activated is electronic warface suite and put the backwater world under communications blackout.

Well this was going to be interesting.

There came a roll of Aeron's neck, an audible crack coming right before she would slip in the helm over her thick mass of two-toned hair. The Icarii took a deep breath.

For now, a job was a job. There was one to be had.

And who said that extra bit of credits weren't fun to have?

A humble and truthful response was sent to [member="Leon McConnell"].
"I'm afraid you must be misguided, lad. Search and search as you may, you will find not one RRDI factory here."
The elderly voice laughed.
"You'd be lucky to find a factory at all here on this preserved little world."
The Crystalsong Commonwealth had it's small fleet of stationed Corvettes and Frigates (the ones specifically not mentioned as being with [member="Mistress Kurah Rrusho"]), hardly inferior or not technological, stand down and otherwise completely ignore the surprise guests as they'd foolishly conduct a search for that which was never there.
All the while, Saera's IBIS-F droid could practically scoff at the electronic warfare suites in play, as ultimately, they did little to hinder its secure connectivity and remote networking.
The world was hardly as "backwater" as the ignorants who gazed upon it first thought; not that it mattered, since their entire journey was for naught.

(((OOC: To really put it short, one ship isn't blacking out much since it's not a backwater world devoid of technology. Just the backwater part. Needless to say, it's the hub of a circle of corporations who design systems that make the one in use consistently.)))

There was an inherent value to companies such as Subach-Innes and Ri'ess Regal Drives. This held particularly true with the latter, which had never been involved in any political scandals, crimes or abuse. There was the matter of the Levantine Sanctum, but they'd since been ordered to return to base, and the Tion Hegemony didn't actually have the power to do anything but yell angrily and pot-shot the Union or the corporations whenever it saw the chance. Ri'ess Regal Drives was a major supplier to the Shadow Empire. Even though the orders didn't come high, the sense of urgency was prompting enough to warrant the Captain's actions. RRDI needed to be preserved in order to continue contract deliveries to the Empire.
A single Strilla-Class Missile Gunboat exited hyperspace very close to Crystalsong, in the heart of the Arcrystal system. Only seconds behind it came two Kalestat-Class Anti-Craft Cruisers. There was more than enough firepower on the Captain's ship alone to sink fifteen whole star destroyers or to glass a nation. That was all that was usually needed.
"This is Captain Kikhveakkaz of the Imperial Shadow Navy, Shadow Empire. RRDI is a major supplier of our warships, such as the one you see before you today. In truth, the labs here are classified and under the name of the Mnenchei Monarchy Skunkworks - the name of the founding company behind Ri'ess Regal Drives. In summary, they keep us well armed and equipped, and in turn, we make sure it stays that way. Leave now. I don't want to be responsible for all the debris these ACM's are going to create from your hull. Thank you for your cooperation. Rawk~"
Initial naval reports indicated seven hostile corvettes, a frigate and a heavy cruiser; certainly not a fleet of star destroyers. Credits were only good if one could live long enough to redeem them. Sometimes, it even payed to look the other way.

"Cap'n we have disturbance on our scanners."

Soulfire turned to view the first mate. A gnarled old rodian with a mane of uncharacteristic red hair. Twin scimitars hung at his side and a heavy blaster slung at his back, Rogoth the Destroyer his name was. He was a cutting edge addition to Soulfire fleet and he nodded to the Rodian.

"What is it?"

"Seems a battle is brewing."

"Excellent jump us into system prepare all ships for combat."

Soulfire never missed a fleet engagement. Smaller ships could be isolated and taken for his won fleet. He was a vulture that preyed on the weak and reaped the benefits of war.

Seconds later they appeared in system as the jump ended. There was already two fleets amassed facing each other. Soulfire came in off the left edge of the engagement and began to shout orders across the bridge.

"All hands to battle stations, sound quarters! Put us in wedge formation, Us to the front Lancers and Lupus to either flank. Put the Axehead below us and prepare firing solutions."

"Aye cap'n."

The crew scrambled across the bridge as alarms blared and lights of crimson hue flashed, making the stark white figure of Soulfire appear a godlike entity of carnage and chaos. He closed his eyes, reaching deep into the force and filling himself with Chaos.

The battle would soon begin!

You could not have reached the planet from across the galaxy when communications blackout was generated shortly after arrival. You'd have had to pass through at least four factions to try that. For an attack like this that was unannounced, you'd never get here in time.

[member="Soulfire Ticon"]

You're in the first skirmish with TD-18, and thus could not be here at the same to defend the planet.

Jordan rested his weary head while aboard the Nebulon B9 under the command of this Leon character who managed to convince Jordan to come along. Money was money and Jordan definitely needed it.

The blaring alarms easily woke him out of his sound sleep. As he quickly rose, he bumped his head on the metal wall next to him. As he rubbed his head and groaned, he stood up from the bed and exited the cramp room. Men and women in uniform breezed past him as matters seemed urgent.

"Seems like we've reached our destination. Time to get to work.."

(((OOC: Like I said in the PM, the short version is that TCC has more e-war available to the faction than you brought. Sorry, you underestimated things but that's the hand you drew.)))
Kikhveakkaz was wise to come to Crystalsong the moment he'd heard about this so-called "armada" and "incursion" into Levantine space, as well as the bounties against the Commonwealth's Ri'essi Union sub-organization and Ri'ess Regal Drive Industries. While he knew the heart of the nation could stand for a bit of extra protection while the majority of its forces were away and the Tion peanuts were hungry for its blood, he never once thought he'd actually see such actions come to fruition. The more, the merrier, he thought, as he could finally stretch his wings (proverbially and literally) and test out those new RRDI cruise missiles he so greatly adored.
"Captain! We're picking up several unknown entities approaching from the far rim, exiting hyperspace now! Confirmed, six unidentified vessels bearing capital arms! Your orders, sir?"
Aavon's overhead almost immediately began lighting up with a convergence of new capital-sized blips to his far flank.
"I had a feeling more than one entity would take advantage of this situation..." he said to himself. "Lieutenant Commander, arm and ready ACM zero-zero-two. Clear the launch bay and have the deck ready for routine firing. Perhaps we need only test the waters and see how hard they ripple...."
"Aye-aye, sir! Arming warhead oh'oh-two now."
The captain had only to insert his authorization card in on both points in his helm's holo-console, which he did swiftly and with haste. The firing officer on deck did the same, and the warhead was armed and primed. All that was left was to authorize the missile's ignition and toggle the engages for its firing sequence; then it was free to rain down upon the first largest ship in the cloud and any poor sap of a vessel sitting next to it.
"Report any reaction to me - especially coming from these unknowns. Bear guns and connor nets on them if they aim at us, and await my orders to open fire. Transmit to the port and starboard escort the same orders."
Now, Aavon would play the waiting game.

Insert jeopardy music.

The thrum of Aeron's fingers would tap a certain quintessential beat as the Pyre went through protocol and procedure. The Icarii was bored and it would be reflecting off her stance. Reports would start coming in through her earwig comm, delivering updates.

All in all, it was the same thing in every port. Hurry up and wait.

Insert more jeopardy music.

Well, here came the stealth ship. Time to land. And land they did. Mainly because this was taking forever and a day to get rolling. So we will just cut to the chase while the big boys play fun times in space.

LAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNND HOOOOO!

The transport shuttle would hit dirtside. Pyre members would pour out. Enter the cha-chick of the powerup of a blaster rifle power cell.

Time to move out.
