Greets. Post #426 Response by the Humanitarian ships suggests were being denied. They were given leave to land (not official permission, just 'we wont shoot you') with a fighter escort to ensure they were as they claimed or to protect them since it is a war zone.

If they attempt to Leave, however, they will be required to submit for inspection. Refusal at that time may result in being fired upon.

I would normally agree with you if it wasn't for the fact that Gabriel blew a hole large enough through the window for all of you to escape. This would act as a vent, and allow oxygen back into the room which may make breathing difficult, but not impossible. I will take it into consideration and find some kind of middle ground based on the article Enlil linked.

There has been a lot missed in that room on both sides, It might be fair to say that we could simply call these misses even and just do our best to have fun with the final hours that remain.

The plasma wouldn't have instantly cooled off when the water hit it, so some structural damage should have still incurred; and the gas would still fill the area if left unmolested, so it's probable someone might breathe it prior to it being dealt with. Plus, unless someone had knowledge of that precise reaction, or tools to measure the relative toxicity of the air, they might not even realize that it's poisonous until they ingest it. That's my take.

If you wanted to direct the gas out through the makeshift vent, that'd be cash.

The chain of events here was quite confusing, though, I'm happy to roll with what I can. I will adjust Seraphia to reflect it, though, she's delirious and currently can't breathe well regardless. It will also be addressed further in a follow-up post. They wouldn't have tools initially but the hole in the wall could afford them enough time and in the confusion with heat/fire/plasma/poison gas all of the symptoms could be confused with something else such as smoke inhalation and the extreme heat provided.

As damage is determined by the writer - I'm sure we can make a fine middle ground.

Thanks for accepting the makeshift vent Enlil Enlil . You're a champ.

No big. My character was actively being healed by Derek and has zero way of knowing that it's anything more than "horribly hot" because she's not in her right mind. She was already dealing with the negative effects of what she assumed to be "smoke inhalation" because she's not a scientist or anything like that. Her "coldness" is because of blood loss. Not because the room is actually cold haha.

It's definitely noted more clearly now though!

Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter Hey there!!

i’m just curious about your last post with the Emu making it to the biodome. As we’ve been describing, there’s a heatstorm about to hit outside and we’re evacuating the dome because of it and the damage done to the foundations by the explosions. Your Emu’s armor only has average resistance to enviromental damage, so it doesn’t make much sense that they would make it to the dome without becoming..well, fried chicken. Their armor also doesn’t cover many parts of their body, as well as their weakness needing water. A creature like that more than likely wouldn’t fare well in a heat storm.

Luna Terrik Luna Terrik You are absolutely right. This is why I've described their deaths as they jump into the heat storm:
But to the heat storm, they did what no one else thus had - they met it, head to head and face to face.

There would be no flying feathers anymore, as ten thousand churi were in the process of out right jumping into that tornado of fire, being spit out moments later in the form of well done turkeys.

Well done turkeys means they're dead :)
