The Undeserving Few OOC (Silvers and Reformation)

Mr. OOC

News They Don't Want Heard
Thread is here.

For the record, and to clarify (I made edits to the initial post to reflect this), we aren't trying to overthrow the governments of these worlds. We're trying to spread the world of just who the Silver Jedi really are, and how being associated with them isn't really a good thing. The goal is to get worlds to disassociate themselves with the Silver Jedi Order.

Now obviously we can't force that to happen, so ultimately it's up to you Silver's what comes of this. We're just aiming to tell a story. Feel free to discuss here, or if it's really dire you can PM me.

Well if you hadn't eaten a dozen egg omelet this morning I wouldn't need to buy more eggs. Might as well bring home some chickens.

[member="Darth Ignus"] If you're trying to stain the SJ name still then you WILL be assaulted en-mass probably from the writers trying to move forward from this Korriban mess...no mercy from us, remmeber. We're butchers!

What is your goal from this? I only ask as I know myself and others are finding the "mopping up" of the Silver fallout getting a bit tiring now, and we've spent so much time on threads just talking and debating with others that we seem to keep on having to do that.

And then it feels like I'm playing a stragety game like 'Risk' with real losses that could be made and everything I post under scrutiny and analysis from others to use against us rather than having fun on a SW fictional writing site. The SJ aren't moving foward well enough, and this just makes me worry it's going to zap more creative energy from those worried about how to go about something with repurcussions that could hit the SJ again, ie your aim to have people turn from us.

See, you can tell it's made me all cranky with a rant like that. This is all IMO of course. The "no offence" disclaimer is flashing right now for you and the SO.

This isn't an SO initiative, but a Reformation one. Yes Leos knows that the SO is up to stuff as well, and has timed this with that, but the SO has no idea what the Reformation is up to. Really the events at Korriban are just fodder for the efforts, further proof, yadda yadda. The Reformation wants you to disappear (we want all governments to disappear, really, so it's not just you but you make the most reasonable target at the moment).

And do take into account that we are, so far, just spreading truth. We aren't trying to actually fight you.

But the overarching goal is to see your order crumble, your reach destroyed. The goal of the thread is just to spread the truth and get people to rethink their association with you (by people I largely mean the NPCs of your worldsubmission's, as PCs already have their own opinions). It's a play to weaken you, essentially. Subterfuge.

And I don't want to be mean, Connor, as I enjoy our banter in PMs and the fact you still intend to gut me, but when you engage in the creation of a major, and even a minor, faction, you basically do enter a game of Risk. Governments/Factions want to destroy other factions and take over the galaxy. Fallout from issues doesn't just go away. If someone can use it against you they will do so until it no longer works to do so. I understand wanting to get beyond Korriban, but your woes aren't only tied to that event. You are the subject of political fallout now, and that's not going to just disappear.

But as I said in the initial post of this thread: we are here to tell a story and in the end these world's are under your control, so ultimately you get to decide if we are effective or not. We are just following our factions goals.

[member="Darth Ignus"] Ok that makes sense - and I all I mean about the "game" of Risk is some writers may be put off by seeing how serious this thing can be and having to think logically and tactially all the time they post something.

And I think because one writer took the "game" a bit far, everyone is now paying a price that is quite harsh when many weren't even involved. Fall-out there may be, but everyone is having a knock-on effect by it when all they want to do is get back to having fun out there now this trigger-happy writer issue is over.

Factions are opposed, granted, but say the SJ fold....then what? Where do the Light/Jedi go? Bouncing around from one Faction to the next until the last one remains and writers don't feel they have a place.

It's more wanting to protect those in the Faction that feel this is getting to be far more serious than it should be and worried about how things progress - but your point stands and it makes sense in the wider aspect of things. Thanks for the explanation.

Again, per our goals, we'd want to have your members join us and help form the backbone of the Reformation. We'd rather achieve our goals peaceably, and have you join us as a result.

I understand that's unlikely to haplen, but I expect that if you did get destroyed, you'd have some go to the GA, and others end up probably forming a group that doesn't participate in the map game. Just hypothesizing there, but both are reasonable options.

I understand your worries, but you are always free to change your ways and join us to seek real Balance. :)

But no problem. I'm happy to explain things.
