Description:

THE SLEDGEHAMMER WEAPON SYSTEM

The Sledgehammer is designed to be a standard blaster rifle to help meet the needs of the growing criminal element in the galaxy, whether it is to thwart it or aid it. Since the great rapture in the galaxy many planets were left abandoned from their previous government and rulers. This was the perfect breeding ground for chaos and crime to retake the galaxy, and what does every criminal need? A gun of course.

Working through Stargo Defense Enterprises, In comes the Sledgehammer weapons system. The Sledgehammer offers a wide variety of modes, settings, equipment, and modularity to fit your operations needs. Out hunting bounties at night? The thermal and night vision scope will handle your needs. Need to climb a tall building or surface? The grappling hook attachment will get you up and over in a jiffy. Or maybe you just need to blow up whatever comes at you. The Sledgehammer has that covered with the forty millimeter grenade launcher. This weapon system is prepared for almost operation it's user could think of. It comes in two modes that can be swapped with the purchase of extra gear, the extended barrel for the more sharp shooting marksmen and the close quarters short barrel for the operator in tight conditions. This weapon system will perform and put it's rounds on target, it is a bit complex when it comes to it's internal mechanisms and complete disassembly is not recommended.

The weapon performs well in combat situations, when used in it's proper range settings the weapon is a force of destruction. It comes with a stabilizer in the butt stock to help reduce recoil of the weapon helping to give it an extra dose of accuracy in combat or on the range.

The Sledgehammer however is not without it's flaws. The extended version is clunky, and unruly at times and is best used for stationary shooting. As for the shortened version, while it is great for CQC operations it's range is very lack luster and it can be prone to overheating when fired to rapidly. The weapon all together is also a very complex mechinism, if it breaks or is damaged repairing it can be a massive pain. It's almost better to send it back to the factory to for repairs or purchase a new one all together. And of course with the sledgehammer having electrical components in it a EMP will fry the weapon system leaving it utterly useless, a few shots from an ion based weapon will also fry the weapons internal components and make it nothing more than a heavy club. With it as well still being a blaster the weapon has a lot of problems in humid and wet environments, while it can be submerged in water for a few minutes and not break the weapon can go for a day or two at the most in humid and wet environments before the humidity short circuits the weapon.
