The Jedi Order: Proclamation of Peace

f0XnD5A.png

It is a time of great strife for the Galaxy.

Territories are divided by Governments large and small, whose morale compass is often guided not by integrity but self interests and the pursuits of power. At the heart of Darkness, the Sith Empire has emerged once again from the remnants of the once galactic rule they had claimed under the banner of the One Sith. To the North they have moved to reform their former legions and turn their sights upon the North-East corner of the Galaxy, the Silver Jedi Order having been forced to defend their realm from these bezerkers, marauders of chaos.

With the North succumbing to peril, from the core worlds to the expansive regions most have forgotten the power that the One Sith once held upon them. Billions of peoples brought to heel before their dominant leadership, sites of great affinity in the Force as well as creatures great and small having become corrupted, tormented by the darkness and eventually consumed by it. Breeding the likes of Sith Spawn, in the pockets of the veil beyond the sight of common society these beasts of legend still remain, haunting the former homes of Sith and Jedi alike. Ruins of ancient temples once beacons of faith and purity have turned into catalysts of decay and around them the worlds suffer as this dark power only grows ever stronger in the shadow of a Galaxy imbalanced once more.

Time has run out for The Jedi Order, action has become paramount to the defense and service of the Force. In her return, Romi Jade former apprentice to the Grandmaster, Veiere Arenais has been granted the first seat upon the Jedi Council; Shortly there after being joined by Kahne Porte at Veiere's behest. There within their company over looking the future of the Order, it has been decided that this era of darkness must be challenged, no longer can the Sith continue to have such a hold over the people, nor can the Order continue to remain in such a position of weakness.

Turning their attention to the Galactic Navigational Charts, mapping out former places of Jedi birth and Sith strongholds thought to be abandoned, the Order has been sent for all Jedi to prepare themselves for the duties required of them. Seeking to reclaim these abandoned enclaves of the once strong Jedi Order, while too routing out all darkness remaining in the shadows of the past, both Padawan and Mentors alike have been advised of their roles to come, the re-established Order of Tradition and Virtue seeking to stake it's claim and fight for the prosperity of life and the light within the Force.

Jedi Enclave of the Former Galactic Republic.
It felt like an age since Veiere Arenais had walked upon these lands; such a long time ago now, during which the Galactic Republic battled to keep their territories safe from the unified Mandalorian Clans and the One Sith Empire. Here upon Deneba, he had stood firm against the invading Sith who sought to plague the world and take all that was good from the Republic's hold. Those Jedi that remained loyal to the democratic government, even after the conclave which had failed to call them back to their former stature, rose to meet the Sith in battle seeking to evacuate the youth and remaining personnel from the Enclave before it was to be completely wiped off of the side of Mount Meru. What remained now were ruins mostly, a shattered structure covered in dust and debris.
Or at least, that was what they had believed.

Together, aboard the Praxeum Vessel dubbed the "Providence", The Jedi Order at the word of the Jedi Council made up of [member=Veiere Arenais], [member=Kahne Porte] and [member=Romi Jade] drifted towards the floating desert giant upon the Gamor Run. Since their leave of the planet of Yutan wishing not to disturb nor move against the wishes of the Senate overseeing the Commenor Systems Alliance, they had taken to traversing the galaxy aimlessly, seeking to focus within and strengthen the training and livelihood of their students, Knights and Masters. It hadn't been an easy transition, many struggled with life on board a Starship; even one so big as theirs. With the Galaxy tilting ever so out of balance and the light being threatened by the over-baring presence of the Darkside of the Force, they had come to the decision that now was the time for the Order to step out into the spotlight and take a stand against the dominion of evil.

What awaited them on Deneba, what they thought would be a compliant stop before turning their attention to the territories of the former One Sith Empire and the cleansing of sites still enveloped within corruption and harboring a darkness that could further threaten the lives of so many; those of the Order would soon come to understand that nothing in their path was easy, nor was it free of a price to be paid.

OOC:
So begins The Jedi Order's first major campaign.

In the future we hope to open up the story arc to possible opposition as well as other Jedi and lightsided factions.

For now however this first thread is for the TJO to step out and start to push for the presence within the Galaxy of Chaos that we are truly hoping to fight for.

Initial posts to introduce your characters and play out our landing at Meru Spaceport, on Deneba. This is a story driven arc and the faction admin (Myself, Romi Jade and Kahne Porte) will continue to push the story along. This thread stands as the first chapter...

Above all else, enjoy yourselves

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
Alexandra tugged at the wraps around her head as she sat in the Arboretum, tending to the creation of hers as she fed the force into it. The tree was the same one she had planted many years before in the Yutan temple, that she had grown for the Jedi and left, feeding it only a few times unlike the main tree from which it had been grown. She had moved the main tree some time ago, to a place that only she and one other knew of and was hidden from sight, leaving her to focus on this new tree now and to feed it far more often. It was like creating a beacon of the lightside in how she worked, pulling and holding the force in one place, strengthening its connection to the light and creating something to calm the minds of the ship and to help them focus. Not only this but it helped the growth of the green around it, vibrant colors reaching out from the tree's location and creating a picture of the area.

Deneba would be her destination for today, a place for the Jedi to look for old texts, knowledge and history. She enjoyed those things, curious about them and her time when not in the Arboretum was spent in the archives reading and studying what she could get her hands on. There was of course the issue of some knowledge likely restricted to the council but she was certain that with time she might be able to learn of the techniques and knowledge that is troublesome and dangerous. She thrived on things like that, especially the questionable and dangerous techniques after living through battles and wars constantly.

She quickly wiped her hands with a cloth, cleaning them and standing up before walking to where her cloak was hanging. Grabbing it, the time that she had shown her hands soon disappeared behind the cloak that hid her form even more than the robes on her. She had for once not worn silvered robes and instead wore a lighter blue colored set, one that allowed her to work without dirtying herself too significantly. For now though, she made her way towards the hanger area, looking forward to Deneba's surface.

His journey had been long and rather tiresome, as customs had grown ever more complicated as the various powers arose in the galaxy. But here he now stood, at the old ruins of a Jedi temple. The Force had guided him here for purposes that were as of yet unknown to him, but he felt something was approaching. Something significant. He pulled his robes tighter around his body and settled down to take a seat on a rock, waiting.

A breeze ruffled his beard and hair, whistling between the rocks around him. He did not know long he would be waiting here, so he pulled a brazier from his satchel and set it down in front of him. It lit and he set a pot of water on top of it and he settled down to wait. It was strange how things had changed over time and guided him to where he now sat. It was almost as if the currents of the Force simply carried them to wherever they desired. A strand of seaweed in the current.

Strange, but such was the will of the Force.

Life on a ship was not so easy for Calder. Where planets had life a ship only had metal and wires, leaving the only source of spirits for the Beorni in the garden [member="Alexandra Feanor"] tended. [member="Nanna"] was of course with him, the young Beorni who too came to learn how to be a Jedi. Where she was at the moment he didn't know, but the crystal around his neck was a constant reminder of their bond. The crystal itself was made by the young Beorni, just another hint that Nanna had the potential to be a powerful Jedi.

And it helped keep the frost giant cold on warmer planets where heat stroke was a threat.

As they got closer to the planet however, he finally could hear the spirits again. They were nothing but faint whispers, but enough for him to turn his head towards a window to see it. What the planet was he did not know, but it was time to leave the metal cage once again. Hefting his hammer onto his shoulder he'd make his way to [member="Veiere Arenais"] . Through a doorway slightly to small for a being his stature he squeezed through and bow his head to the Grandmaster.

"It will be nice to get off of this ship again, Grandmaster. When do we land?"

The Twi'lek Knight neither liked nor disliked being on the Providence all the time now living and training with the other Jedi in their fledging Order since having to leave the temple on Yutan, though she had to agree it would be most pleasurable to have her boots on the ground and breathe fresh air once again. The arboretum was nice as well as the holographic areas that made life on the praxeum ship a bit more real for its occupants, but nothing really could compare to nature in its true form.

Cambria made her way from one of the training salons to the hangar bay where the group going to the surface of Deneba were to gather. Twin, lightly tattooed, blue-hued brain tails swished in controlled excitement along her back as the Rutian Twi'lek walked out of the turbolift onto the hangar deck. The Rutian Twi'lek's gold-speckled hazel orbs spotted her X-wing on the flight line and "Gee", the Jedi Ace's R9 unit, being loaded up into the droid socket just behind the cockpit. She would be escorting the transport making landfall.

"Greetings," Bri offered with a respectful cant of her head to those there. "I too look most forward to exploring outside our home here. There is much to learn and gain from doing so," the blue-skinned exotic alien added with her thick Twi'lek accent rolling off the Guardian's naturally berry-colored lips with a small smile attached.

Space was usually a cold dark place, millions of people could attest to such a thing. It would take others a little bit longer than expected, however he felt they would do just fine. Going through such a change, a floating fortress such as this. The key thing was that they were here and they were together in this. Kahne had grown accustomed to such a thing as he had spent much of his time during his latter years as a Jedi, spent travelling the galaxy. Alone most of the time, trying to seek out those that had become lost, and needed guidance. While Kahne had felt that he had pushed some in the right direction, there were others that he felt had indeed fallen far from that path, had fallen into darkness. If anyone knew about the pull of the dark side it was Kahne Porte, he had once almost succumbed into darkness a long time ago. During the earlier wars of the Jedi and Sith, luckily there were those that sought to help him and didn't give up on him. It was in his darkest hour that he found his greatest strength, and that was hope itself.

Not many people had hope, nor where they able to hold on too such a thing for a long period of time. Simply because at times, being continually beaten down by the struggles that the galaxy through at them some just didn't care anymore and wanted to let go. Thus letting go of hope, they fell down quite a distance and then all that was left for them was darkness. So they took refuge in that and then there was nothing else to be said about the matter. During his travels and due to recent events that had transpired in his life, that indeed prompted Kahne to return to the fold and ready himself and others for their fight in the battles that were ahead. Upon his return he was met by Grandmaster [member="Veiere Arenais"] and had thus volunteered his services and abilities to aid the newly formed Jedi Council.

Upon his arrival to Yutan and prior to boarding the Providence, Kahne had met up with Padawan [member="Teynara Jeralyr"] a unique individual by several accounts and one Kahne had taken a liking too as through several accounts she was indeed gifted. Tey's attitude and demeanor were both a reason he had taken her under his wing. Kahne hadn't taken a padawan in some time, however if there was an time to do so...it would be now.

The Jedi Master stood staring out the window, his gaze drifting towards deep space. He had been standing here for quite some time, wondering what awaited them on Deneba, and what documents and such they would find if they hadn't been seized already by smugglers, pirates or anyone else looking to make a profit. His cloak between his torso and arm rested as he smirked slightly before glancing down and grabbing it with both hands and tossing it about himself. He straightened it out afterwards as he made his way down the walkway and towards the Hangar. He could sense the heightened emotions of several members, in particular the Padawans as they seemed to be quite excited about being planet side for a bit. Kahne would agree, it would be nice to feel the fresh breeze again.

"Look...I decided to actually check in this time and you won't even pick up!" She rolled her eyes.

Hmph

"Well...you better have a good excuse for this, I'm hurt here!" she yelled into the holo-projector, "Anyway...negotiations are set to begin soon. Should be prompt but I'll be sure to regroup with you when things have settled down on my end. Romi out..."

Well, that message was for none other than [member="Veiere Arenais"] . Unfortunately, she couldn't initially partake in the trek to Mount Meru, but since her promotion to the Jedi Council she's been given more administrative duties, much to her displeasure. She appreciated the honor nevetheless, and would attempt to handle the responsibility with as much care as she could. She knew he wouldn't have allowed it if he knew she couldn't handle it.

But before she could join the others on the surface of Deneba she had to sit in on an inaugural meeting between the representatives of the Jon-Tow Commerical Collective and the Redu Freeholders. The Collective had been using the Gamor run to do business with Commenor, being one of many major conglomerates to do business in the sector. The Freeholders, a large group consisting of pirates, mercenaries, bounty hunters, and assassins were able to create a force strong enough to pose a threat after the dissolution of the Galactic Republic and One Sith in the core. They built their operations on the claims that they were for the common folk, who came to tolerate them as long as they gave a portion of whatever product they raided; healing products and foodstuff.

The Collective petitioned the Commenor Systems Alliance Senate for aid in quelling the raiders but were unsuccessful when they were told to handle the situation or be unable to trade with the Alliance thereafter. When all parties came to agree on the terms of meeting and settling the dispute through diplomacy, the senate requested the aid of the Jedi Order in hopes of buildings relations. Romi was dispatched via decree of the Council and would sit in on the negotiations and give insight only if she were asked to actively participate.

"Master Jedi?" An aged voice, with not much base, easy on the ears had cut around the corners. A representative accompanying one of the major parties. "The meeting is set to begin in just a few minutes..."

Just then her hair whipped around, while her eyes fluttered in quick succession. "Right." A simple smirk, and nod of the head was enough to convey her understanding of the events that were to transpire. She shut the holo-projector off just then, dropping it in one of her compartments on her belt before she walked off towards her current objective.

An exuberant squeal sounded around the arboretum, echoing through the greenery as the young Beorni bounded through the doorway, heading right for [member="Alexandra Feanor"] with a wide, sharp toothed grin, or at least, she did for a moment. Nanna wasn't completely used to exercise all that much, given she was from more of a laid back community, and therefore needed to stop just within the doorway to catch her breath, her little pink tongue sticking out and her body hunched over a bit as she paused on her fluffy rampage. She lifted her head after a moment and flashed another excited smile her way before quickly toddling over to Alexandra.

"M...Miss Faenor!" The young Beorni panted, crouching down once more to catch her breath. "I can hear the... the spirits!" She smiled happily and her ears flicked back and forth eagerly. "I can hear them again!"

Jagen Wren

Jagen hadn't been to Deneba in what felt like a decade, ever since he had become a Jedi Knight of the Old Republic. Ironically, the familiar terrain of the planet was one of the reasons he had chosen Jedha for his exile; the desert called to him and he had been reborn, figuratively, into a sand hermit. Reddish-orange gravel crunched under his booted feet while he trekked along the path into Mount Meru, and to the Jedi temple within.

The Jedi Order, or at least this new order that a respectable Jedi Master named [member="Veiere Arenais"] founded, contacted the Exile and just managed to convince him to accompany them to the world. Of course, he absolutely refused to travel aboard some massive praxeum starship with other Jedi. Knowing them, the alcohol would've been flat, watered down, and the consumption of such frowned upon by his colleagues.

Therefore, he had traveled alone and, according to the absence of the active Force in the area, ahead of everyone else. The Jedi Knight looked over his shoulder and spotted the black form of his StealthX, standing out amongst the rock, then he felt it; another person. Afterwards he saw it while he climbed into the temple's ruins, cleaner robes than him and, much to his jealousy, a larger beard. Unknowingly he had stumbled upon [member="Tiland Kortun"].

"Hello there."

Tin'tinag

Life is a queen, if not it would be to easy
Tin'tinag felt out of place in the new order, despite wanting to learn about the force in a more acceptable way then the followers of Ren taught the different rule she had to follow and changes would take a bit getting used to, at the very lest she felt welcomed here unlike in the first order where she was treated second rate, and constantly abused by more powerful apprentices.

Right now she was mulling around the hanger bay, not really having anything to do until the party was sent to the surface. Even though only being an initiate her skills as a pilot were valuable. Tin'tinag looked over her X-wing, the new craft being much more refined then anything she had flowed before, her bright orange hand rubbing along it cold metallic hull, perhaps the order would let her personalize it in the future.

She continued to inspect the craft with great interest until a voice caught her attention, it was a heavy accent of another Twi'lek, though slightly different. The Rylothian born Twi'lek raised her head to see who was talking and spied and blue Twi'lek talking to some others, her complexion was needless to way beautiful, and her clothes were seemingly tight fitting, a bit strange for a Jedi to wear but was a common choice of clothing among other Twi'leks.

Should she go over and and say hello? or would that be rude, she still was not sure about the whole hierarchy of the order.

Meru Spaceport, Deneba.

EUeok1v.png

By now most of their people were being processed through Meru Spaceport, the transport vessels dwarfed by the far larger Providence had been their entrance unto the Desert Planet and as immediately as the crew doors slid open and the air was allowed inside, the heat flowed on in, brushing over them almost feeling to have a marginal gust to its wake as they were quickly enlightened as to the temperature's there. Beside him stood the towering Beorni alongside many of the others, some of them having had to take different shuttles down due to their numbers while others opted to stay put on the Praxeum Vessel until word had come back of their progress. Initially, Veiere hadn't answered their queries as to the procedure in their landing. He had instead led them to the Hangars of the durasteel giant and thus they'd been encouraged to board and begin the landing process. Now as they exited the vessels did he finally turn to glance back at [member="Calder Icehammer"] somewhat warily, "I'm afraid this is worse than Yutan was. Are you going to be able to bear it..." despite the genuine question his mouth broke into a smug little smirk feeling rather amused with himself over the pun, "Don't call me Grandmaster please Burr...-I was glad to be rid of the title as soon as the Council was formed" he added, dipping his head sideways in a casual gesture of indifference to the offered respect of his former position.

Looking to the group, Veiere tugged his comlink away from his belt and raised it for them all to see; "I want everyone's Comlink's all tuned into the frequency I've given you. It's our secure channel and will ensure we're all within reach of one another...-As the others are still making their way down, you may feel free to acquaint yourselves with the settlement. This is known as Meru and was once the sight of a Republic stand-off against the One Sith Empire...-Many Jedi risked their lives here, many years ago and a good number of them perished in that battle. I would ask you all to respect your surroundings and the people living here, it is a tiring world and they may be wary of you...-I will contact you all when we're ready to begin the hike up the mountain" he concluded, soon looking to glance back at Calder with a single brow lifting in skepticism for the beorni's likely difficulty in being comfortable on such a temperate rock.

Being there in that settlement again was anything but settling, memories easily finding their way back to him during which his wife [member="Lady Kay"] was safely out of reach though still fearing for Commenor as their homeworld was on the border of One Sith space and Mimban had only recently been hit a matter of months before hand. It had been a relentless time trying to defend the Galactic Republic's worlds from those that sought to bring darkness and pain reigning down upon them. Fortunately the Jedi Order though swaying from their path still numbered in the many and had the personnel strength enough to seek to defend Deneba and her people. In the end of it all however, this place had been the victim of biological weapons and while years had past, the tension that often came with such recollections seemed to ever so be weighing down upon his shoulders in the present day.

"We'll give them the hour to roam, the market's just off side from the spaceport here and while we wait for whomever else wishes to accompany us, we might as well make the most of being off of that ship".

As the order was given to depart, the Jedi gathered in the hangar bay aboard the Providence loaded onto transports. Cambria turned on her booted heals to find a two-toned orange Twi'lek standing over by one of the X-wings on the flight line near hers. There was a dark tint to the young girl's aura, though there was a light as well. All she knew of this new initiate is that [member="Tin'tinag"] had come to the Jedi Order after being a captive of the Knights of Ren; the dark-sided practitioners of the Force affiliated with the First Order. And of them, the Jedi Guardian knew even less about as not much was actually known of their aloof group. The blue-skinned Twi'lek Knight did not judge and would keep an open mind for now, though in these situations an open mind meant a cautious and watchful one as well.

"Greetings, young one. I am Knight Cambria Zadira. I take it you are a pilot as well? You may fly my wing should you choose to do so today. We are to escort the transports down to Deneba's spaceport," Bri offered kindly with a twitch of her lekku added, then she did a little Force assisted jump up onto the port-side closed S-foil and dropped down into the open cockpit with her R9 unit tweeting that the pre-flight was done and they were green to go.

---

The flight down from the praxeum vessel to the reddish-orange Mid Rim planet was uneventful. After landing at the small spaceport, Master [member="Veiere Arenais"] gave the Jedi group an hour to roam about the settlement of Meru before their intended mission began. There was a market nearby that Cambria decided to take a walk about; making sure that her comlink was set to the secure channel before doing so.

The market's stalls had many hand-made items for sale and local foods to try. With two stomachs for digestion, the Rutian Twi'lek was able to eat just about anything, and a sampling she did go... mindfully of course as the Jedi Knight took in the people of Deneba, and they her.

Aboard the Yutan's Legacy, in orbit above Deneba
Prior to arrival on the planetary surface

Despite the powerful inertial dampeners built into the Yutan's Legacy, there was always that gentle shudder that ran through the deck plating whenever the enormous vessel's hyperdrive engines powered down and it emerged from hyperspace and into sublight. The blue-white tunnel that had enveloped them would vanish, the stars returning to pinpricks of gently-glowing light against a screen of eternal darkness, and the strange sense of displacement would slowly fade. So it was that the vessel arrived at Deneba, a planet that Teynara could happily say that she'd never heard of.

The blonde found [member="Kahne Porte"] staring out an observation window on the forward deck - a spot he seemed to have picked out for occasional contemplations, which wasn't exactly an infrequent thing with him. As much as the Jedi Master appeared to be the more rough-and-ready Jedi you'd expect to find often in the field, lightsaber blazing, Teynara had found him to be a more contemplative man than she would first have guessed. Sometimes he was dangerously close to presenting as 'moody'.

Her boots gently moving across the floor, the hem of her skirts whispering against her ankles, the young woman approached Kahne with a steady tread, though she was also engaged in something of a juggling act, a metallic mug of sturdy construction held in each hand. Stepping up next to the man, she wordlessly handed one of them to him, then took a sip from the other. She'd been addicted to Stimcaf from an early age, and Veiere had been smart enough to stock up on proper beans before the Yutan's Legacy had left Commenor, so her daily poison had become a thing shared. She wasn't quite sure Kahne would drink it, but it was worth offering.

"Not exactly a sight to make you happy for getting out of bed this early, is it?", she grumbled, nodding towards the window before them, where a brown-reddish orb now hung against the black of space, about as bland a world as she could have envisioned. "Master Arenais never takes us anywhere nice," the blonde added, taking another sip of her hot Stimcaf. At least there's one positive thing about being stuck aboard this bucket. "I was hoping we'd find a nice planet."

The young woman shrugged and continued to stare out of the observation port, mildly irked by the view. Being cooped up aboard the enormous ship had done little for her temper, and she knew she was being a little snarky. And the fact that it's so early is not helping at all. They technically still lived according to Galactic Standard Time, but without proper daylight, it was easy for everyone's circardian rhythms to be thrown out of whack, and Teynara was no exception to that rule. And now we come to a planet that looks about as pleasing as a caf-bean shortage.

"We've got to join the others aboard the transports if we're going down to the surface," she said with a soft sigh, knowing that they would. Sure, the planet below didn't look particularly inviting, but breathing air that wasn't recycled a few thousand times might prove to be a pleasant change of pace. And you never know, she thought to herself. Might actually find something down there worth the trip. Sometimes it paid to be optimistic. "Wouldn't want to miss that, huh?"

Teynara shook her head in mild personal exasperation, then turned and headed for the turbolift that would take them to the ship's hangar bay. They'd all been allocated seats aboard ship-to-surface shuttles, though for what purpose, she wasn't yet sure. And Master Arenais won't be happy if we miss our departure. She didn't want to be on the wrong end of that conversation...

Living aboard the Providence had been a vast change of scenery for Vlarem, an individual accustomed to living amongst the wild creatures of the galaxy, of sleeping beneath the stars, of having a true garden to tend to… Now he was in the belly of a mechanical beast, one in which nothing was natural, the most Vlarem found himself looking at was the kaleidoscope of blues and violets that made up hyperspace. It was an understatement to say that Vlarem craved to be back on Yutan how many plants he’d left unattended on the planet due to his chambers being unsuitable for such a vast number of herbs and vegetables. That hadn’t stopped Vlarem from bringing some aboard anyways, he was stubborn as expected of someone his age. While not appearing it Vlarem had been around long before the chaos that currently embroiled the galaxy. During the course of his life Vlarem had seen many things, civilizations brought low, species decimated, populations enslaved. Till this very day Vlarem regretted never stepping forward during those days. The question of how many lives he could’ve saved always weighed heavily on Vlarem. That’s what brought him to the Jedi Order under Veiere. A chance to make a change, to be the change he wanted to see in the galaxy.

Having been lost in his thoughts Vlarem had to bring himself back to reality. The ship shuddered as it exited hyperspace causing Vlarem to rock on his feet slightly. Guess we’ll be arriving soon… Picking up the small watering pale he’d brought along with him Vlarem walked up and down his chambers watering the plants. Everything from Behot, to Pommwomm was being grown in the Falleen’s chambers. In one of the pots there was even sourcane being grown for the children aboard the ship or those with a vast sweet tooth. Vlarem’s chambers were more of a garden than a place you’d expect one to live. In the far corner of the chambers there was a small mat in which the Falleen slept on and that’s as much furniture that Vlarem had allowed into the chambers. Saying Vlarem’s chambers was unpleasant was an understatement. Anyone stepping a single foot inside would possibly feel as though they had walked into a tropical jungle it was so humid. Simultaneous with watering the plants Vlarem exuded mass amounts of allelochemicals into the air, a trait numerous people didn’t know the Falleen possessed. They always focused on the pheromones that they overlooked that the allelochemicals, if used correctly, were just as dangerous or beneficial. In this instance Vlarem sent out calming waves in which were used to expedite the plants growth. Allelochemicals allowed one to grow without the use of harmful pesticides, or other such chemicals often times growing plants faster. The plants almost seemed to move in reaction to the allelochemicals and reacted as plants that were once drooping began to straighten slightly and glow greener than they once had.

The faint chiming of Vlarem’s commlink broke his concentration causing the Fallen to visibly wince but his task was done, the plants would be fine during his absence. Despite Deneba being a desert Vlarem was anxious to step foot on it. Not in anticipation of their mission but to be off the ship. Snatching up a few stalks of the sourcane Vlarem popped onto into his mouth and began chewing on the end as he made his way to the hanger where he’d catch the next transport down to the planet.

Tin'tinag

Life is a queen, if not it would be to easy
Tin'tinag jolted a bit when the other Twi'lek dressed her, she was still a bit to used to the strict chain of command of the Ren, were those in a higher position demanded respect. "yes I am a fairly accomplished, though unorthodox pilot, off record". "I have done my fair share of dog fights, running blockades, the works". "yes I'd like to accompany your wing, be nice to get some expeirnce flying in a squadron". She watched as [member="Cambria Zadira"] jumped into her own fighter and proceed to power up for departure, "Looks like its show time".

Tin'tnag quickly mounted her own X-win, popping the canopy and climbing in doing the quick pre-flight check while talking to her new R9 unit, "well buddy looks like this will be our first proper flight together, try not to get space sick will ya". The unit gave an few annoyed beeps, but it was clear he understood the joke. The engines of the X-wing powered up, and soon Tin'tinag was lining up in formation with the rest of the Order pilots, ready to escort the drop ships to the surface.

Upon landing she decided to take a lot around, mainly at the environment, it was a habit she had developed as of late, the dark lava planet of Mustafa did not really offer any great views. While walking around the market place she seemed to get a few odd looks from the local, "I should probably get some new clothes", though no longer being a Ren, her attire still was darker in colour compared to the other Jedi, making her stick out very easily.

Tin'tinag made her way further into the market place, looking for place the sold robes of some sort, or maybe it would be better to ditch them and go for an more comfortable attire similar to what she wore as a smuggler. "decisions, decisions".

The sound of [member="Teynara Jeralyr"] brought a small smile to his face as he glanced over to her and gave a small nod of his head. In the length of time they had been at space, Kahne was quite please to have someone their who wasn't completely bored by the Jedi Master. And while he thought that in jest, he was aware of her feelings of travelling space. And while he tried to make things fun for them, or well for all of them. He had hoped that it wouldn't get boring to quick with trying to find various activities to keep them distracted and busy. He had indeed reached for the mug and thanked her wordlessly as he slightly clinked their glasses together.

"Here's to a our wonderful brown planet we get to explore." Kahne said with a slight tinge of amusement, while all kidding aside. There was something else at work here that drew them towards this planet. The Jedi Master had a feeling that Tey would get a good experience out of this whole trip. Or she would just be slightly bored and question him the whole way about it.

Either way, it was going to be an experience.

"Yes, let's get going before we are both confined to the ship." Kahne said with a small smirk as he slightly jerked his head towards the direction of the hangar.

********************

It wasn't long before there were cruising through the spaceport and Kahne couldn't exactly hold back his own pleasure and excitement of being in the fresh air. Kahne glanced to either side of him as there were those that did cast some inquisitive looks their way. That was the way of the universe though, Jedi and force users in general were usually always judged different than others. Typically because, well in Kahne's opinion was that they didn't understand, and they probably might not ever understand.

The Grandmaster began to speak about some of the history off the planet and such. Kahne took a deep breath as he listened to his words and nodded in agreement. This place did have some history, and Kahne was hoping they found some Jedi artifacts here that would further aid the Order.

Now it seemed they had an hour to explore and he wondered what sort of trouble he could get into for an hour. "Tey? Thoughts?"

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
[member="Nanna"]

Alexandra smiled to herself as the smaller form appeared, a burst of white invading the green colors of the garden. Alexandra was amused by Nanna, her smile hidden still behind that mask but eyes softened clearly through the slits that remained obscured. A tinge of sadness touched them for a split second as a voice brought to the forefront of her mind something annoying but she ignored it and focused on the young one infront of her. Her voice left her in the same calmed and soft tone that she would allow it to.

"Oh? That is good to hear, I was hoping that the force would be more easily felt if the garden was tended. Though, I suspect that you will be much happier on solid ground, there the spirits will be far more plentiful." She didn't quite understand the whole spirits thing quite yet, simply accepting that is how the girl saw and felt the force.

Her body rose from there and reached down brushing clear some dirt from the light colored robes, that of which seemed to move like blue waves as she moved.

"Shall we join the others and get to the planet?" She would wait for the girl's answer before starting to walk again, taking a more leisurely pace when it came to getting to the surface. She was in no rush and knew that they would not go too far from the landing spot so that the other members of the crew and the order would be able to set up a place for them all to gather incase something should happen.

"Tell me Nanna, how are you adjusting since leaving your home? I apologize if I am prying, but I am curious. Your situation upon joining us was far different from mine."

Tiland looked up from his brazier as someone approached and spoke to him.

"Well met, friend." Tiland answered, adding a pot of hot water to the brazier. "Jedi, yes." The man was bearded and had old, worn robes drapes around his frame.

Tiland pulled out a few mugs and set them on the rocks around the brazier, along with crumbling tea leaves into the water.

"I must confess that I do not know the purpose for which the Force has led me here. Do you know why?"

He settled back into the rock that he sat on, pulling his robes closer around himself, watching the sky.

The others had gathered quickly in front of the spaceport so that Master Arenais could give a short speech on the planet's history. Teynara had never heard of Deneba prior to stepping foot upon it, so any indications of what to expect were welcome. The spaceport itself hadn't been difficult to navigate: the customs officers were clearly more interested in the potential for contraband than they were about a bunch of mutely-clad Jedi, though they'd run weapons scans and required identification cards even so. Since Tey only carried ID and her commlink, she'd managed to get through the security checks a little quicker than some of the older Jedi, but they had to explain their armaments and prove that they were licensed to carry them. The burdens of rank, she'd thought silently, amused by it all.

By and large, though, Jedi seemed welcome, perhaps a little moreso than she'd expected. On some worlds, they were respected for their willingness to step in for purposes of arbitration, and for the counsel they might offer. But elsewhere, Teynara knew, they'd be treated with suspicion or even outright hostility: the Jedi were one-half of the forces that so often clashed in times of war, conflicts that were often about high-minded ideals, but that always ended up with smoke, death and ruin inflicted upon planets that had little true reason to be involved. Small wonder that many are scared of us.

At least she'd dressed appropriately for the occasion: though many of the others wore the tunics and robes traditional for their Order, Teynara had always preferred to wear a simple tunic belted at her waist, and a long ankle-length skirt completed the outfit. She could pass for a Jedi, but also similarly just an average citizen without any such attachment to the name - fitting, in truth, given that she was a neophyte on the Jedi path, and had little knowledge of their skills beyond what she had observed with the others. But if I'd dressed overtly as a Jedi, I'd be taken for one, and that would be dangerous if people around here objected to us.

"I'm just the learner here, oh wise Master," she said in a faintly-sarcastic aside to [member="Kahne Porte"], in response to his question. The two of them had an odd rapport, she knew that, but he seemed ill-at-ease with formality, and she therefore offered him as little of it as possible, unless she felt inclined to needle him slightly. "Truth be told, though, I haven't the faintest clue where to start. I don't spend a lot of time on strange worlds."

That was true, too: her sum total of off-world experience had been spending University on Rudrig, and then planet-hopping a few times in order to join up with the Jedi, but she'd never really spend a deal of time sight-seeing. Too busy then, too busy now. That they had an hour of opportunity left her a little unsure of where to start.

The air of the planet was nice, but a little warm for her tastes: from orbit, the planet hadn't looked particularly temperate, and she'd expected something a touch more arid, but here...she could smell water in the air, and none of the buildings seemed designed to guard against unseasonably hot weather - perhaps she'd misjudged it. Hard to know for sure, but it'd be interesting to find out. Veiere seemed to know plenty about the planet, so maybe he'd elaborate later on.

"Think you can last an hour without getting us both into trouble?", she asked the older Jedi with a slight raise of her eyebrows to indicate that she actually meant the question sincerely. "Or do I need to ask Master Arenais to provide us with a suitable Kahne-restraining escort?", the blonde added, a faint ghost of a smile on her lips. "Just try not to get us arrested, okay?"

Cassius’s first assignment in the Jedi Order was simple: accompany Jedi Knight and Council member [member="Romi Jade"] as she oversaw peace talks between the Jon-Tow Commercial Collective and the Redu Freeholders. Since Cassius had just joined the Order, he considered it an immense honor to join a high-ranking member on a mission such as this. Although he was mostly there to just be her pilot and observe, he took every chance he could get to learn.

There were a few things he thought were strange, however. One, that the Freeholders would even agree to peace talks. Cassius had dealt with their kind before during his time as a patrol pilot – they weren’t usually the “peace talk” type. Why even try to talk to them when they didn’t seem to have much resistance taking in the first place? He had a very bad feeling about this.

For now, he stood facing the large viewport, hands clasped behind his back, silent. He listened to Romi make a holo-call to [member="Veiere Arenais"], but fail to get through to him. As she ended the transmission, Cassius managed to expertly hide the ghost of a smile on his lips. If Romi proved one thing, it was that not all Jedi were the same.

One of the negotiators approached Romi to let her know that the talks were about to start, and as she left, Cassius followed behind, keeping silent. Without even seeing the negotiating room, he knew where his place would be – against the wall, keeping an eye on the Freeholders. Even with his ancient lightsaber hanging off of his belt, he couldn’t help but keep a blaster on his right hip. He just wasn’t as well-versed in lightsaber combat just yet, and having the ranged weapon on his person helped ease his mind.

It also didn’t help that his blasted lightsaber didn’t want to work half the time.
