The Jadeite Order

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
"A jedi knight is sworn to valour,
Their heart knows only virtue,
Their blade defends the helpless,
Their might upholds the weak,
Their words speaks only truth,
Their actions undo the wicked."

A small order formed by the jedi slightly outside the order. The Jadeite serve the purposes of furthering education and advancement or understanding both of the force as well as the mechanical marvels. While orders like the Silver watch develop to protect against the darkside, the Jadeite serve to construct the gear that they use should they so choose. The order is composed of the often considered lesser groups within the order.

Those who do not often fit in with the warrior classes of the jedi can find some purpose within the Jadeite to become different researchers, historians and collectors finding exotic technology to reverse engineer into new force crafted technology that serves the lightside of the force. Other working to collect history and lore to rebuild the knowledge base of the jedi into a truly grand archive and library.

The parts of the order itself are broken into three major groups, comprising three jedi groups that work together to organize everything. The artisan's and researchers who study, craft and collection rare and exotic artifacts, technology, samples throughout the galaxy. Working to create new equipment that can be used by their people. The ones who serve as lore keepers, collection information, organizing the library and recording jedi history.

The final sects within the order are the most skilled of them all, researchers of the different sciences. Uncovering, analyzing and unearthing the long forgotten secrets of the ancient worlds. The order finding much that can be done as they slowly work to rebuild and display their skills on the ancient world of Ahch-To at the First Jedi Temple. They have worked to restore it like the Citadel or other temples across the galaxy.

The order also provides something few others do, in terms of what it works towards building with jedi knowledge. an emphasis on generalists is given. Jedi able to duel but also know different force powers for different situations. Matsu herself priding herself on the skills for handling different situations as opposed to being in a single division or class as some like within the jedi order. It allows her to move freely and adapt.

Another key aspect of the Jadeite is an unwavering dedication to the lightside of the force, given how most of their focus is on strengthening the order through knowledge and defensive force based technology they have designed it to work for those who feel and follow the lightside actions. Incorporating all craftsmen and forge workers who know how to imbue materials with the energies.

Ideally interactions with and among the members hold a level of respect both IC and OOC but not everyone has to get along and story while important is not an excuse to harass others. The Jadeite would prefer drama to be kept as far away as it can be and hold itself to a higher standard for being open and accepting of members who want to see the lightside of the force prosper.

For outsiders within the Jadeite, non force users, non jedi force users it is different. On the one hand ideally the non jedi would be brought in and ojin the order to serve the light. Convincing them but as a force user they are at risk and in danger of being tempted. The Jadeite seek to teach them how to resist the evils and temptation of the darkside with education.

They don't see a need to only teach those who follow the jedi how to see and identify the darkside of the force. Hording the basics of knowledge to protect someone is selfish and ver unjedi like. Yes they might not be able to be taught how to move mountains but teaching them how to control their emotions and resist the temptation to try and make the galaxy how they want it is a very important thing.

The Yaksha: The artifact and item keepers, trained and specialized in how to make, engineer and craft items but also in researching and finding a knowledge base of them.
Keeper of Antiquities
Jedi Researcher
Jedi Artisan

The Wan Shi Tong: THe primary knowledge holders within the group. Able to bring and point out respectfully obscure references and information that can prove beneficial to others.
Jedi Archivist
Jedi Historian
Jedi Librarian

The Shennong: The science divisions that provide information on the properties of materials, peoples, cultures as well as a basic run down of different worlds and species.
Jedi Archaeologist
Jedi Geologist
Jedi Biologist

Progression within the order itself is different, while fundamentally a padawan can learn any of the courses to progress they need to be able to show understanding within the lessons taught. Construction of their own force based artifact from the materials supplied is the first step. Using knowledge gained from the different subsets of the order to teach them about the materials, the history and the knowledge how to craft it all together.

The leadership of the order is something else that is made simple compared. The heads of each division within, the forge, the knowledge and the sciences provide a department head. Those three work with the leader of the order chosen by skill and knowledge to lead. The protectors of the order are another part of it as all who join are tasked with the eventual construction of a knight saber.

The Knight Sabers are the protectors of the temple and the orders members, crafted unique and special by each member just as a lightsaber is. A fusion of force energies, scientific engineering and the jedi constructing it. Then forged of the lightside of the force using complicated synthweaving techniques as well as minor alchemical concepts. Lightside alchemy not a new discovery but a very reserved one bonding yourself to a construct.

The Heralds are within the order, trained scouts using some of the most advanced force based equipment and gear. Serving as recruiters to some of the more ancient sects within the galaxy as well as people who show talent. Their talents lay with charisma based speeches and stealth to convince others to come and join them working within the forges of the jedi.

Some of the other works the Jadeite go towards giving people is help and access to some of the more obscure groups within the galaxy.. Contacting with their Heralds the sects of the Jal Shey, the Jensaarai and the Zeison Sha as a means to allowing the skills of the sects to live and forge new ideas. Matsu's interactions with them attracting some of their members to teach survival, respect and knowledge over just combat.

The Gotai is one of the elite sects within the order that are acknowledged for their skill and works. Be it creating a new piece of force tech, a way to filter and handle information or improve the sciences of the jedi. It isn't just tied to masters, it does not require that they be masters of the force or blade. It is for their feats in creating something that will improve the lives of the jedi as an order.

Progression:

Padawan to Knight: As a padawan within the Jadeite order they are taught some of the basics for smithing and research. There is a lot of work put into all of their hard work, the feats of engineering that they work on can be in any of the fields. A general knowledge of the skills needed all around if they do not have a master to be shown to the heads of the departments. If their master deems them ready they can be promoted.

Knight to Master: IC wise these knights have shown the skills and dedication to the order, as servants of the lightside of the force. They have worked within the departments of the order and have at least shown the understanding of it. Actions and tests are not required but some work in creating a powerful piece of force tech. OOC: Posting a thread tracker and passing a master vote.
