Oath of the Imperial Knights
"All Paths Lead to Death,
All Death Leads to Victory,
All Victory Leads to Peace,
All Peace Leads to Order
My Life to the Empire"
Victory is Achieved Only by Those With Purpose

REHjFah.png

No Individual's purpose is as strong as that of an Imperial Knight. Driven by the prospect of a peace, order and stability the Imperial Knights forsake the chains and hypocrisy of organized Force User religion. Instead, these valiant warriors recognize The Force only as a Weapon only to be used as a tool in their lifelong mission to restore Imperial Order to the galaxy. Gone are the days of the ancient relics, Jedi Prophecy and Sith Arrogance. The future has come and it rides on the back of Imperial Might. Framed and structured like an elite military branch, The Imperial Knights are forbidden to adopt a religious code.

Instead, they are expected to live, die and serve by the Imperial Knight Oath;
  • All Paths Lead to Death: The first line of the oath, though it sounds philosophical, is actually a promise. By swearing on this line, Imperial Knights are bound to service with the Imperial Knights until death. Through glory in battle or execution by the Empire; an Imperial Knight owes Imperial Society a debt of blood.
  • All Death Leads to Victory: This is the second promise of an Imperial Knight. By swearing on this line he/she swears that all murders, deaths or genocides that they participate in (including their own death) are in service to the Empire. Meaning that an Imperial Knight cannot use their training for personal vendettas or gain.
  • All Victory Leads to Peace: By swearing on this line, Imperial Knights promise their lives and dreams to the unified purpose of creating ever lasting peace. All of their victories, big or small, personal or for the Empire, are to be driving the galaxy closer to the reformation of the Galactic Empire.
  • All Peace Leads to Order: Swearing on this line binds an Imperial Knight to the promise that he/she shall never use the peace brought upon by the coming New Order for personal gain. Order can only be obtained when peace has defeated chaos and corruption.
  • My Life to The Empire: Every waking breath. Every kiss of a lover. Every draw of a saber. It is all in service to the Empire.

Unlike the other Force Sects who have temples and religious locations used for training and housing, The Imperial Knights instead go through training at specialized Academies throughout Imperial space. At age seventeen, Force Sensitives can apply for the Imperial Knights; after which they are hauled off to a specialized facility for training. Here they will spend twelve weeks training under a rigorous cycle of indoctrination, physical and force training that does not give breaks until the training is complete. After completing basic training, Knights will sworn into their positions and sent to one of the many Imperial Knight Academies. The Most prestigious of these Academies is Pelleaon Academy.

Pelleaon Academy is the West Point of Imperial Knight Training. It serves as a college, Military School and Imperial Knight Facility all in one. Children who show great force aptitude can be sent to the academy at age ten by their parents or be forced to attend by Imperial Decree if they exhibit extreme levels of force aptitude. It is here that Imperial Knights find masters and complete their training in what is universally known to be the most difficult Training Facility in the galaxy.

As The Force is seen as but a tool, nothing is barring Imperial Knights from practicing Light or Darksided powers at their discretion. Even so, adhering to an ideology or mythology for either is expressly forbidden and punishable by the code of military law for insubordination or even treason.

The Greatest Gift is a Beautiful Death

FYjae0M.png

Courageous and Loyal. Swift and Deadly. Selfless and Immortal. The Imperial Knights are all of these things and more. Brought together under the promise of a better galaxy, The Imperial Knights don't fight for morality or faith. They kill and die for something much stronger. Love for their families. Love for their Empire. Love for Order and all existence that falls under it. What is more beautiful than to die for such a love?

But even men and women with such a cause require guidance and structure. A firm chain of command that will support the weight of thousands of Imperial Knights and, through them, the weight of an entire galaxy. Crafted to resemble the tried and true structure of other Force Using organizations, the Imperial Knight rank structure has been augmented to more smoothly function alongside standard military ranks. Simply being a Force User does not give one authority over NFU forces, in fact, it is quite the opposite.

Technically, Imperial Knights hold no official rank in any other military branch as they directly serve the Grand Moffs and Emperor(ess). Instead, Imperial Knights are given autonomy to complete their missions outside the scope and authority of other Imperial Officers (much like how an Imperial Intelligence Agent would operate). In instances where this could harm the mission, the Grand Moff Council or Emperor(ess) will bestow temporary military ranks upon Imperial Knights for certain missions. To see an Imperial Knight be under the command of a Non-Force User is not uncommon.

Unlike Jedi/Sith Promotion, Imperial Knight promotions are based more on command skill, leadership, loyalty and general abillity rather than strength or aptitude alone. The Imperial Knight Ranks are as follows:
  • Knight Cadet: Knight Cadets (or Imperial Knight Cadets) are Knights who have completed basic training but have not yet trained sufficiently under a master to achieve the title of a full Imperial Knighthood. They often spend most of their time at an academy or with their designated master.
  • Imperial Knight: Imperial Knights (Or Imperial Knight Initiated) are the mid-level ranks within the Imperial Knight Order. These are members who have proven themselves ready for command. Members of this rank have, generally, mastered basic force techniques or the two Knight Lightsaber Forms (Praetoria Vonil or Praetoria Ishu). Knights can train cadets and even become official trainers at Academies.
  • Imperial Knight Baron: Barons are the highest and most respected rank of the Imperial Knights. These men and women have demonstrated ability, command prowess, extreme leadership skill and generally great strength. Members placed in this rank are typically made Wardens of Imperial Knight Academies and charged with overseeing the training of only the most gifted. The most skilled and proven of the Barons are chosen to sit on the Baron Administration, a council of masters who oversee all Imperial Knight business and act as advisers to the Grand Moffs and the Emperor.

We Few, We Happy Few, We Band of Brothers!

Imperial Knights are taught time and time again that each of their brothers and sisters are one with them. The whole Order operates as a solid unite, no brother or sister is left behind. Sometimes this connection grows so strong that members will marry each other; as marriage and families are not banned by the Empire if the relationship will not hinder the Knights ability to serve. Regardless of any love interest brewed, every member is bound to make friends closer to them than most family while in this organization; a pact bound in blood.

To create this atmosphere of unity and to strip away individualism, the Imperial Knights have adopted a uniform code that is only slightly more lenient than the codes of the Navy and Stormtrooper Corp. Knights and Cadets are required to wear the Standard Imperial Knight Armor with either an Imperial Crimson or Royal Purple finish; complete with their choice of colored hood. Imperial Knight Barons are allowed a slightly more elaborate dress if they wish; comprised of silver plated Imperial Knight Armor with gold shoulder pads and dark or royal purple armorweave cape imprinted with the Imperial Remnant Insignia. Regardless of rank, Imperial Knights are required to utilize a silver bladed lightsaber but the design and functionality of the lightsaber is their choice.

Imperial Knights are a proud and powerful organization, one that offers flexibility to its members; allowing them to be pilots, admirals, infantrymen or even specialized guardians. Within the Imperial Knights, there is a specialized branch of warriors who are charged with protecting The Emperor(ress), Moffs and Grand Moffs. They are known well to the galaxy by name, but are more powerful than their predecessors.

The Imperial Guards of Galactic Empire fame have been reborn as members of the Imperial Knights, trained to protect the highest ranking members of the Imperial Government. After graduating from the rank of Cadet, Imperial Knights may join the Imperial Guard and serve to protect; dressed in the iconic Imperial Guard Armor.

The Imperial Knights is a unique order of Force Sensitives exclusive to the Imperial Remnant. If you want an experience unlike what can be found within the strict Jedi and Sith codes, we strongly suggest you join the ranks! With the freedom to study in dark or light power schools without the strict codes of the Sith and Jedi faiths, your RP options are expanded and give way for stories that simply cannot be obtained through other FU organizations. Yep Dark Jedi works fine by me since we don't have our fancy Knight tags available yet. Though the One Sith tag might need to go :p

Vendir

It's nice to know that there is a Imperial faction that both, dislikes the One Sith, and isn't inherently evil, seems like the whole thing is simmilar to the CIS too, which I like :p. I think these ads really sold the faction to me though, so I'll probably be joining within two weeks, or sooner if I can get a species and planet sub written down and approved, then get down a character sheet for Vendir afterwards.

I think you've given me more initiative to complete everything for this character though, as it's definitely been too long since I've used him.
