Name: The Hoth Jedi Enclave

Intent: A secret minor Jedi enclave/safe house, as part of the Jedi Order's reaction to Coruscant's loss and substantial security breaches on Tython and Ossus. A fallback point, a small modern Hidden Temple.
Classification: Small Jedi enclave
Location: Mount Ison, North Ridge, Hoth
Affiliation: Jedi Order. Existence and location currently known only to the Grandmaster and the Master of First Knowledge. Located on an Omega Protectorate world.
Description: The primary purpose of the Hoth Enclave is as a secret safe house in case of evacuation of one or more Jedi temples. Built nearly flush with the mountain, it is often covered in snow. The enclave is maintained by four basic housekeeping droids and two astromechs. There is no living Jedi presence, though that might change in the future.
The enclave contains the following, based on other small enclaves like Dantooine, and also based on the Order's potential need to house large numbers in extremis:
- Room for 50 persons in spartan conditions
- Sufficient consumables for 50 persons for 1 year
- Waste recyclers
- One landing pad adjacent to one small docking bay -- total capacity, 2 shuttles/light freighters or a handful of starfighters, plus 2 snowspeeders
- Geothermal powerplant, with backup fuel cell power generator - fuel cells for 1-3 months
- Standard sensors and communications gear
- Emergency shield generator
- Durasteel safe with disc tumbler lock and biometric security
- Minimal training facility (barely usable if at maximum occupancy, training rooms prone to being repurposed)
Access is via air, or by climbing the steep and snow-covered mountain -- a lethal prospect. There are only three entrances: A hidden tunnel and door out the back of the mountain, the elevated landing pad, and the main doorway. The main doorway's path leads to a wide, flat glacier where multiple ships can land if necessary.
History: After assuming command of the Jedi Council's artifact security operations as Master of First Knowledge, Jorus Merrill discovered that the Order's security situation was absolutely untenable. With clearance from the Grandmaster, and known only to her, he approached Lord Protector Ayden Cater for permission to create a secret facility on a low-priority, low-security world. Cater acquiesced, and the Hoth enclave was born. Construction droids, supervised personally by Jorus, chewed into the slope of the remote Mount Ison. After the enclave's completion, the droids were thoroughly wiped. The facility remains secret at Grandmaster's-eyes-only level, though the Lord Protector knows the planet where it is located. Its primary purpose is as a safe house in case of some need for evacuation of the Jedi Order from one or more major temples.
