Classification: Palace/Temple

Location: Valley of Golg, Korriban

Affiliation: The Sith Order / Darth Prazutis

Description: The Grand Necropolis of Golg is a truly massive structure that dominates among the countless ruins of various temples and tombs around. Nestled in the Valley of Golg the great structure was once an massive temple of worship and also the burial site of a particularly powerful Dark Lord of the Sith species many thousands of years ago. After the entire complex was mapped out to perfection it was built and expanded on to bring to life the ancient sith design complete with its gradually sloping massive walls in homage to the ancient temples and tombs that dotted Korriban's surface in the past.

The entire structure is complete with three sets of massive walls and fortifications with the second one containing noticeable design differences. The original structure itself was changed drastically with the former massive spire in the center returning as well as being expanded upon. Additionally a set of four additional tiered spires were constructed with two connected higher up to the main palace, and another set connected much lower via large bridges. While the interior of the main keep itself has been gutted and changed to turn it from a tomb to a palace befitting a Dark Lord great measures have been taken to restore the temple portions, as well as the tomb area to its former glory. All other tunnels and entrances to the palace were permanently sealed upon its completion and besides the front way in, it's rumored there's a secret way out.

Since the original interior of this grand temple has been gutted through years of looting it has for the most part been overhauled completely to incorporate ancient Sith decorum with new technology and design that have been brought in. Statues, idols, busts, artwork, and other such pieces of furniture have been brought in.Additionally many furniture that Darth Prazutis and his mentor, close colleague and confidant [member="Darth Carnifex"] relocated from the Black Pyramid of Coruscant that wasn't brought to Vain Hollow was brought to stock the chambers and upper levels here.

Throughout the entire palace the massive structure is fully garrisoned with an army of soldiers and battle droids. Four main barracks are located in the four spires attached to the palace itself and there are more throughout the two sets of walls, which are also always manned by soldiers and varying battle droids. Darth Prazutis personally had a hand in its design and also included four dual turbolaser turrets, and four surface to air emplacements to the palace. Mobile weapon emplacements can be found all throughout the palace and can be moved from one area to another to fortify any necessary places.

The interior citadel is the most highly defensible position taking another page out of the blueprints he designed for Vain Hollow the hallways were all designed with a careful military touch so that they can be used as a choke point in the event of an attack, and a breach. The most highly protected portion of the palace would be the central spire that holds the personal quarters of the Dark Lord and Crown Prince, as well as an added personal chambers for the God-King.

The palace also features all of the accessories one can expect of a castle befitting a king including several kitchens, dining halls, larders, assembly chambers, religious chapels, guest rooms, as well as dungeons. Additionally added to this palace was a full wing for his immediate & extended family of House Zambrano, as well as a throne room to hold court for both Prazutis as well as the God-King Kaine Zambrano.

History: The massive temple/tomb structure was built as a tomb that would hold a Dark Lord of the Sith and King of the Sith Species who reigned long before the Great Hyperspace War through the backbreaking work of its laborers, and the thousands of slaves who sacrificed their lives for its creation. For many years after the Dark Lord was interred here this place was used as a temple of worship, and study for the Kissai, the priest caste of the Sith species.

The temple would be the site of a major battle during the Great Hyperspace War a position that would be fortified by the Sith who desperately tried to hold onto their holdings as they were besieged by the Republic and the Jedi Order. Ultimately they would fall and later following the slow extinction of the Sith species would slip into desolation and obscurity, its only visitors came from Sith looters who would come to loot its valuable contents.

In recent times the Grand Necropolis once again would have life breathed into its halls when the resurgent Sith Order threw the Silver Sanctum Coalition out of the Stygian Caldera, preventing them from expanding their territory into the Sith worlds. After he successfully bottle necked the hyperspace lane into the Caldera and their victory this massive necropolis would be reclaimed, restored, and rebuilt by Braxus Zambrano I claiming the citadel and Korriban.

Intent: To flesh out the new holdings of Darth Prazutis and his Sith Order domain in the Rebellion of the Stygian Caldera
