Kiran stood in the central hall of what could only be described a den of sin. It was a large casino, or rather had once been a large casino. It was no used as a gala hall for this little get together. The room was massive, a reflective floor, huge windows, and in the center of it a massive bar staffed by only the most competent of men and women. An odd purple hue played throughout the room, accompanied by changing blues and shifting reds and oranges. The room seemed to flash and dance, perfectly pleasant to those within it. Waiters and Waitresses seemed to skulk about the room, carrying food and drinks.
Everything seemed to be set, everything seemed to be perfect.
Kiran held a careful eye, watching as guests entered and others mingled. Saeva guards stood at all entrances and exits, a few permeated disguised around the room, ensuring that there would be no trouble or fights breaking out between guests. Kiran had no illusion to the danger presented here, and he was weary of anyone punching anyone else in the face, hence the guards.
Of course the objective of the night was business, and he hoped that reason and greed would prevail above all else.
He smiled at that thought, reason and greed. They seemed like opposing factors to him, but then again things weren't always that clear. Shifting slightly Kiran looked up the massive steps up the left of the room leading towards the casino's former offices. A shifting smile carried on his face as he wandered into the center of the room.
"Ladies and Gentlemen. As we all gather, I would just like to say welcome and enjoy your time. Drinks and food are free, I hope you all find this to be a pleasant and profitable experience."
That was enough for now, there would be another speech later.

Token Waters knew casinos. Sort of. She was learning them better and better each day. Her cousin had set her up to take over Bright Star, so she was spending a lot of time in gambling halls. Of course, the Bright Star CEO spent a lot of time on her own in the bars and clubs. She liked the music and the way people interacted. This was a big place. She liked it. Sure, it might not have the same feel as a Bright Star location but…

It was nice to see how the rest tried to do it.

She made sure that when she came in, she was noticed. She had a tight and short black dress on. How many LBDs were in her arsenal, you aren’t asking. Well I’ll tell you anyway, a lot. She spent a lot of money on them. Girl disliked heels though, and black converse completed the look, her blond hair left long. Simple, but enough to attract the eye of one or two people, she was sure. She didn’t have any weapons short of the Force, but even then, her go to was to create a bubble.

She wasn’t cranky, so that meant those ‘dark side’ powers weren’t going to be ready. No, she didn’t prep a spellbook at the beginning of the day but she was able to… bury those feelings. She made her way inside, wishing that someone like Sindy had taken up the invite to come with her, but she could fly solo. Plus, there was a bar. Something simple, rum and soda? Sure.

There were a lot of people here, and a lot of armed guards. Wasn’t like she was going to cause issues, but still, just the same, better be careful. But she noticed the being head to the center of the room and broke small talk with some red-shirt, leaning on the bar and turning her attention to the person who was possibly the host. This was all free, that was what she was expecting. Business however. She did need to do a little work.

Where to begin?

Jaster, as he had often praised himself, was on time, barely before the entrance speech. He walked into the casino floor in his Suite to meet and discuss buisness and possibly make some new friends. Jaster had been in the buisness for what some of the veteran would consider a short time, yet he often though of himself as storming the buisness community. This however was one of the first times he had made a public appearance in a large buisness gathering. Jaster had no enemies, that was his luck, he nearly corned the market on Civilian and Military Grade Medical Equipment, he even was a slow rising star in the Trade Industy.

Here though, this was a battlefield Jaster had yet to step into, one on one negotiations were his preffied method of making deals. Shadow negotiations and dealings in the dark were his specialty. He would have to learn as he went along, he felt somewhat confident in his abilities.

Jaster walked to the nearest waiter and requested a Coruscant Martini, and she was off to the bar. He looked around to see if he knew anyone he might recognize, though it seemed slightly thinned at the moment.

Ana had been at casinos before during her younger days when she was still trying to find herself. The music, drinks, and games had helped her drown out her feelings at least for a little while. At the end of the night it was all the same she had been left hungover, broke and without purpose. These places seemed to attract broken people like this which was why she didn't exactly frequent them anymore. Her now husband had taken her to an establishment like this on their first date for some gambling and dancing. It had been a lot of fun and a night she would always remember.

The resturant now kept her quite busy but had penciled this event into her calendar anyway. As a businesswoman she was always looking for new opportunities to grow what she had already made for herself. The young woman had a few ideas but nothing planned out as of yet. This evening would afford her the opportunity to chat with others and see what they thought.

As she made her entrance into the casino clad in a short form fitting blue dress that hugged her curves in the right places with matching blue heels she saw it already full of people. Ana dressed to garner attention but at the same time she didn't want too much. She was a married woman here on business nothing more.

Upon scanning the crowd she saw no sign of [member="Orick T'ane"] whom she knew had been given an invitation to attend. He had said he would meet her here so she figured he was just running late. If he got caught up in something she would look for him but it would be a shame for him to miss seeing her in this dress.

Grabbing a drink off a tray she listened as the event host gave a little speech to get the night rolling. The man looked familiar but at the moment she couldn't place him. Shrugging slightly Ana took a sip of her drink.

Tmoxin Temi landed her Innesco-class luxury yacht, The Sovereign Stingray in the private docking bay reserved by Saeva Incorporated, a private military company located on Teth. The Morpho Pharmaceuticals CEO was here for a get-together that Saeva was hosting for the upper-echelon of the business world.

Dressed in a pencil-straight skirt, demure black silk shirt and patent-leather heels, the Hapan executive heard just the tail end of Kiran Vess's speech, welcoming the guests. She made her way to the large bar in the center of the room and ordered a glass of Corellian white wine. Leaning against the bar, her head scanned the room to figure out who she knew and who she needed to know better. Aside from drumming up business for Morpho Pharmaceuticals, she also wanted to promote her new arena and Sports Complex on Lok.

The only individual Tmoxin recognized was the stunning blonde [member="Anastasia Rade"], the wife of smuggler, [member="Orick T'ane"] which probably meant he was lurking around somewhere. Unfortunately, T'ane was becoming more unpredictable each time she employed him on an assignment. I'll need to find a way to contain him, she mused, sipping the ginger-colored wine.

Not many in the galaxy knew Tmoxin was a Dark Jedi Knight as she had trained incognito for all of those months in the Obsidian Order. At this event she would also try to mask her Force signature as best as she could. This was a business function, not a battlefield, after all.

Sempra Besadii Dhakun moved inside the casino towering over most present. He wore a thick golden chains around his broad neck with the Besadii family sigil resting on his chest. His fingers and arms were equally decorated with rare and exotic jewelry. He moved inside keeping an eye on the other guests - to his understanding this event would be open to both new players and those who had been running major companies for what might seem an eternity.

Sempra himself was here as the owner of Ubrikkian industries and his slave company. At least thats what the invitation stated.
But it was far more likely that he had bern invited due to his control over several local governments located on planets near by. Teth, whos position put it inside the hutt cartel sphere of interest, was probably aware of his efforts to spread the cartels influence even further and wanted to keep tabs on him.

Perhaps he was mistaken but regardless he wanted to be present, if nothing else to pay his respect to the host who held a prominent position in the sector.

Dresses.

Triam didn't do dresses.

"What the kark are you talking about, why the frell can't I get in? I've got my frakking invitation right here!" The ludicrously heavily armored woman was practically screaming in the face of one of the mooks that guarded this place. It wasn't like she was physically carrying any weapons or anything... it just so happened that she had an upgrade that sort of... made her weapon... well, everywhere.

She wasn't even wearing a helmet!

Okay, fine. So technically speaking she could remove the armor. Was she going to? Ever?

Not. A. Chance. In. Hell.

She was the force damned C.E.O. of a company renowned for it's exceptionally quality equipment, that used the hard to obtain, rare, but extremely useful materials found around the galaxy... and was the force damned de facto C.E.O. of an even bigger company, that specialized in arms both mechanical and biological, with it's hand in the vehicular industry and the medical industry via subsidiary... AND was head of the Research and Development team at iBorg, arguably the most prominent and successful prosthetic augmentation company in recent years.

Was it soooo bad of her to try and strut her stuff and be a walking marketing program? She was a weapons and armor dealer for crying out loud. Her freaking moto was "Prepare for War". How else was she going to sport her cybernetics and expand its corporate influence?

It wasn't going to be from taking her armor off and walking into that building naked, that was for sure.

... although that might certainly help.

While Triam ranted at the straight-laced guards, a large and lumbering Herglic made his way to the door. He paused just behind Triam and adjusted the collar of his ocean-blue suit. He didn't wear any sort of cravat or tie. Open collars were in fashion, or so he'd heard.

After several seconds of awkwardness, the Herglic couldn't seem to bear it anymore. He stepped forward and presented his business card. A simple white rectangle with a black fin in the center.

"Hauum, excuse me goodfellows. I am Orcus, chief executive of Darkwater Security, a solutions based company, and a board director of the Herglic Trade Empire. Would you mind letting the lady pass? I'm quite certain she'll be on her best behavior."

One of the guards looked the seven foot cetacean up and down. But mostly up.

"You'll vouch for her?"

"Quite so, quite so."

The guard gave a heavy sigh. "Go ahead."

Orcus turned to [member="Triam Akovin"], gesturing with a flipper. "After you, miss..."

Say what you will, eight hundred pounds got things done.

Rounding the corner he caught the last few words from Vess as he spoke. Orick smiled a bit as he listened, the man had this was a profitable evening. Of Course he had, that seemed to be his favorite word, profit. He chuckled as he made his way into the reception area. He spotted quite a bit of the undercover security. The Savas men were good, but he had worked with a lot of them in the past and knew their faces. He had worked with [member="Kiran Vess"] in the past as well, sort of. They had communicated a bit, favors had been exchanged, maybe a bit of money. But it worked for both of them to keep working together from time to time, information at the very least was worth talking to the man.

He had dressed appropriately for the evening, knowing that the people here would expect him to dress like a smuggler. In his line of work appearances were almost as important as actual performance, which made no sense to him, but he played the game. One of the perks of being associated with the company was that no one would complain if he stashed a holdout pistol in his jacket, he was trusted enough to not start trouble. Like the trouble he could hear by the entrance. He knew the voice well...[member="Triam Akovin"], shouting about gaining entrance. They had worked a job here or there a bunch of years back, made them both a ton of money in the process, money she seemed to have spent more wisely than he had. She was a walking armory in that armor she wore, Vess would have to get her past the guards even Orick didn't have that kind of pull.

He turned and noticed a familiar face standing by the bar, one he never could seem to avoid, no matter how much he tried to, [member="Tmoxin Temi"]. It was a name he would regret ever hearing, she had at one point been a client of his, at least until she decided that he wasn't trustworthy any longer. She was smart and dangerous and one of the most beautiful women he had even seen. A combination that would certainly mean she was as dangerous to everyone in this room as she was to him. Her beauty meant she would always be invited to these things , but it it paled in comparison to the woman he saw next. She was the most perfect woman he had ever seen and he felt his heart stop every time he glimpsed at her.

Wasting little time he made his way over to [member="Anastasia Rade"], a smile on his face. " I know you from somewhere, don't I?" He as he stepped up next to her. He glanced around a bit and frowned, " What kind of fool leaves a beautiful woman like yourself standing all alone."

Ioka had entered the building with Sempra, following along side him. When he saw everyone there, he almost freaked out, there were so many things he could take!
Imagine how much money he would make with everything he could take!!!
Ioka did stay by Sempra though, ignoring the urge to run off and start taking things. He was practically jumping up and down at this point.
He looked up at Sempra and then back to the people that had attended, curious.

A dark, well-groomed eyebrow arched as she spied T'ane entering the room, looking every bit the part of the roguish smuggler.

Tmoxin felt a twinge of guilt at having to come over and crash the little party between him and his wife. Surely by now, the way she kept appearing every time Orick T'ane was around was sure to cause Ms. Rade a bit of concern. But this was business at the end of the day. Tmoxin needed to keep an eye on her assets.

She strode over, her gaze directly upon the smuggler. Once she was in ear shot, she turned her head towards the attractive blonde woman and said in a honeyed tone, "Ms. Rade, it's a pleasure to see you again. If I'm not mistaken we last played Sabaac together on a Brightstart liner. You look lovely today as usual." Never mind that she had once taken a blood sample of the fellow Force user to use in a highly suspect Imperial experiment over midichlorian count.

Then with a side glance to T'ane she said, "Hello Orick."

She steeled herself for a hostile response back but wasn't sure if he would behave in the same manner as he had done on Kamino in the presence of his significant other. However, if he did, it would be very entertaining to watch.

The lights are on,
But you're not home.
Your mind is not your own...
Everything about Danger Arceneau seem to speak of old money. The way she strode into a room. The way she held her glass. She had a relaxed pose that only comes from generations of financial liquidity. The comings and goings of fashion did not concern her in the least. The clothes in her closet never went out of style. Danger's life was seemingly one of quality and refinement; as if she had no need to flaunt her pedigree. She could trace her family tree back to the seed.

It would have shocked most people to see the real her. Titan hair a wild mess of thick waves, freckles decorating that tanned skin under the layer of artifice, and a rather wild stubborn streak with a mouth to match that was as foul as any of the grittiest Tatooine watering hole could find.

No, that was a version of Danger few ever saw. That she would refuse to let anyone see. Instead, the one everyone came to know with familiarity was the vision of southern class and hospitality she'd worked hard for decades. Striding into the casino with her Zeltron assistant Aeri at her side, Danger Arceneau was certainly a sight to behold.

There was no need for flashy colors to suit her. No, a simple black dress that would hug and flatter that voluptuous figure of her did all that it needed to do. Like fine whiskey, Danger Arceneau certainly aged well. The years had been good to her, that even the subtle streaks of gray did nothing but enhance her appeal.

The business Gala set up by Saeva had come at a particular interest from Aeri. Personally, Danger wasn't feeling up to par to socializing, but the Zeltron woman made damnable sense about making appearances and the importance of continuing her networking. There were bound to be new entrepreneurs she could open doors to and vice versa. To find a mutual commonality. Business was certainly business, but her mind was elsewhere.

It was there in the slight tension at the corner of her eyes, in her wandering stare. Updates from Erkerd were few and far in between, but the last was enough to strike at the core of the woman.

Rose Kuhn had escaped the hospital.

Taking a sip of her drink Ana sighed as her eyes scanned the room for anyone she knew but was coming up empty till out of the corner of her eye she saw [member="Tmoxin Temi"] enter looking as stunning as ever. The two of them always seemed to have interesting encounters. They were friendly now for the most part because they had to be.

Just as she was about to take another sip of her drink Ana heard a quite familiar voice behind her at first and than right next to her. The sound of [member="Orick T'ane"] voice alone made Ana's heart skip a beat. Turning to face him with a big smile on her face Ana gave him a seductive wink. "Perhaps," she stated to his first posed question. Instead of answering the second Ana wrapped her arm around his waist pulling him in closer to her for a passionate kiss. "I've missed you," she smiled as their lips parted. "You look very handsome tonight my love." She smiled before giving him another kiss. She was happy to have him here with her.

It wasn't long before Tmoxin came over to disrupt the couple. She wasn't too upset, it was always interesting to speak to the woman. "Yes, we'll have to play again sometime. It's nice to see you here as well Ms. Temi. I love your skirt, you so have to tell me where you got it." Ana smiled leaving her arm wrapped around Orick.

Ioka had wandered off from Sempra, he couldnt hold the urge to start scanning out for things he could take. He entered the same room /area [member="Anastasia Rade"] , [member="Tmoxin Temi"], and [member="Orick T'ane"] were in. Ioka walked quickly through the area, looking up at the people near him when they bumped into or stepped on him, rather. He didn't like this, he was looked down upon, literally. He then encountered three people sitting down, he wandered over to their table, looking up at them. They all seemed to be fairly wealthy. He then tried to find his way back to [member="Sempra the Hutt"] after searching through the area, he tried not to bother Sempra, as Sempra might have some sort of important business to do here, and he might have needed to concentrate.

He had time to smile before [member="Anastasia Rade"] wrapped her arms around him and pulled him into a passionate kiss. He didn't care who was around to see it, all he cared about was that they were together again. As she broke the kiss he stepped back to admire the dress she had on, " I feel like a pauper standing next to you, the blue looks wonderful, it really sets off your eyes" He said as he pulled her close again. He had been away much longer than he had intended, and the fact that they had to go to a business party was a tragedy. She leaned over for a second kiss and he frowned, he could see [member="Tmoxin Temi"] approaching.

Her words were chosen carefully no doubt, to ensure that she came across as just a businesswoman. He knew it was the case as she spoke kindly to Ana and almost dismissed him. He smiled and held out his hand to her, " Ah, Miss Temi it's lovely to see you again" with a nod he would gently kiss the top of her hand before stepping back a single step." Don't you just look lovely tonight. You're not here alone are you? Last time we spoke was at that party, where is Draco? wasn't he your date for the evening?" He smiled at he spoke, there was no reason to cause a scene here at the party, nor would he want to worry Ana about it. He could play nice for as long as it was needed to get the evening over. If she thought he was foolish enough to fall for these traps she set then she was in for a surprise. " How is Morpho doing? Rumor has it that there is a new sports complex on Lok. I've never been there before, is the climate temperate enough for a sporting complex?" He gave her a coy smile, letting her know that he could play her game as well as she could.

Business.

At one point or another every power in the galaxy relied on business. The Republic had KDY until they squandered that, the One Sith had Titan Industries until... Well what did end up happening with that anyway? Aleksandyr was once the rather infamous CEO of Gaillard, a luxury starship corporation that manufactured some of the best designs in transports, freighters, and dropships.

Now things had changed; ever since [member="Lorelei Darke"] bought out his company the man has essentially become a servant to the Queen in her efforts to push more aesthetically pleasing, comfortable, and service oriented products on the market now that everyone seemed to have their warships. Didn't meant they still wouldn't produce warships and he wasn't about to speak on her behalf about that.

So what is someone like Aleksandyr Gaillard doing in a place like this? That was what made Aleksandyr so irresistible to those on the market. He's eccentric, takes more risks than he should, and damn he looked amazing. Or at least that's what he thought about himself. His orange, modified eyes scanned the room for familiar faces as he always did. There was no one he recogn--[member="Tmoxin Temi"].

There's a face. Alek walked around the outer edge of the room like a cat does to avoid drawing the attention of the household dog.

[member="Token Waters"] | [member="Orick T'ane"] | [member="Kiran Vess"] | [member="Triam Akovin"] | [member="Anastasia Rade"] | [member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"]

As T'ane kissed her manicured hand in greeting, she couldn't help noticing that there was a little smugness in his smile. Perhaps he was just self-satisifed in his perfect-seeming marriage or perhaps he knew (as well as she) that there wasn't too much harm she could inflict on him in this room full of gentlebeings and business elite. Although she wouldn't be able to guarantee there would be no whispers of Black Moth, especially if the need arose to immediately tap into his services.

But luckily her strict Hapan manners would not allow her to be noticably rude, despite her thoughts.

"Thank you, Ms. Rade," Tmoxin said. "The skirt is from a tailor in CoCo Town."

She turned to Orick. "Yes, I am here alone and without Commander Vereen this time. He is merely a friend after all and not a suitor." The Hapan executive put a hand on her hip and shifted slightly. The other hand held the wine up delicately as though holding it above water. "Morpho is doing very well. And as for the Sports Complex, Lok is surprisingly temparate. And even though it's a desert climate there are so many technological advances to ensure that the facilities stay perfectly comfortable for the guests."

When it didn't appear insulting to do so, Tmoxin turned her head to see who else had entered the party. Oh look there's [member="Aleksandyr Gaillard"], right on schedule. He never seemed to turn down a party invitation, did he? A blush came to her cheeks as she recalled their last meeting on The Sovereign Stingray. Jumping into bed with Aleks was becoming a habit, but at this point she couldn't tell if it was a healthy one or akin to a spice addiction. Pressing her lips together, she returned her gaze to the smitten couple before her and smiled.

"I extend an open invitation to both of you to stay on Lok and visit the new arena."

[member="Orick T'ane"] [member="Anastasia Rade"]

To her surprise, another party guest arrived directly behind her, and she was completely oblivious to him until he made that characteristic hauum, and forced a business card into the hand of the guard. For a second there she took a double take of the enormous creature and could have sworn she had seen him before.

One tends to remember enormous land-whales, they were pretty rare as far as she was concerned.

That name as well... Orcus. Her head swelled momentarily as she recalled the information in the nigh-infinite repository of cataloged information swirling about somewhere in the recesses of her brain...

Hion the Herglic said:
"This is Darth Orcus from Alpha Company, requesting assistance from Easy Company. A sniper has Alpha pinned down."

"After you miss..." Her eyes tightened into something close to a glare, she knew his kind, his nature. A sith, and she'd kill him probably on any other day... though maybe not, considering her only employee was a dark sider... but she told herself he was different, trying to change, amend, he wasn't the far gone child killer. Just a man set on hard times, looking for an effective means to dish out his internal turmoil, to which he did not seem to impart onto anyone.

"Thanks, Alpha Company." She said simply, not willing to spare many more words on him before more trust was warranted from him to her. As quickly as she could, she tried to get a lead on the huge whale person, get inside and avoid his scrutiny of her manners.

Her eyes scanned the party, trying to pick out faces. She saw some big ones she recognized, like [member="Danger Arceneau"], a big businesswoman of whom she was currently fulfilling a request for in exchange for a sales contract that would open up her business all along the Mara Corridor, and elsewhere. Then she saw more familiar ones like [member="Orick T'ane"], an old friend and partner many years ago before she abandoned the galaxy.

Not yet decent to truly delve into the business environment, she decided to march over to Orick and his growing congregation of followings, which included but was not limited to [member="Tmoxin Temi"], [member="Aleksandyr Gaillard"], and [member="Anastasia Rade"].... all of whom she had no clue who they were, but had a strong indication she would find out soon enough.

"Yo Orick, long time no see. Who are the entourage?" She said outstretching her arms from a distance. She was getting a bit more comfortable now, after expelling whatever... happened, at the front gates.

Tmoxin always seemed to be around when they were at business parties like this. It made sense really as they were all business owners. It was really a shame they all couldn't be friends without all the fake smiles. Now that she was a business owner Ana rarely was in her armor anymore unless she was going on a mission. Ana he could really use a girlfriend to go shopping with and to do those girly things with. Ana did genuinely liked [member="Tmoxin Temi"] outfit. I'll have to take a trip out there sometime." She normally shopped at the little boutiques on Roon. She liked their clothes and Orick always thought she looked beautiful. Shopping internationally sounded a little exciting though.

She was a little embarrassed that she didn't know much about her new sports complex on Lok. Ana had been so busy opening the restaurant on top of everything else that went with that. Ana also was the executive chef on top of that and did most of the cooking the nights [member="Orick T'ane"] was off on a mission.

"That's very kind of you Ms. Temi. We'll have to look at our calendar and see when we can squeeze a visit in." Ana and Orick hadn't had a vacation since getting married. Even though it wasn't their special planet it would still be fun. Perhaps she could learn a new sport while she was there or just relax for a few days. She didn't think it was a terrible idea.

Before she could find out what he though an armored woman, [member="Triam Akovin"] , joined the group. Ana didn't know her but she seemed to know Orick. Her first guess was that she was a contact from one of his past mission. "I'm Anastasia Rade, Orick's wife. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Such rudeness. And after he gotten her through the doors, vouched for her!

Orcus released a short puff of air from the blowholes atop his head. Alpha company? Blubbery brows lowered in a not-unkindly frown. Was that supposed to mean something to him? He'd seen so many battles, first as a mercenary under Lysander of Suarbi, then as a Jedi, and now as a Sith. At least a dozen possible reasons for her esoteric retort choked his thoughts, but he couldn't for the life of him decipher such a cryptic reply. He sighed as she huffed off, obviously offended over some matter, and rubbed a flipper against his head. Too many reincarnations. Memories of past lives were slowly seeping away, like water through a cracked glass. Only his goal remained. Galactic unity. That was what he strove toward. It was, he hoped, what they all strove toward.

The great cetacean galumphed over to the punch bowl and poured himself a glass of the blood-red liquid. He swirled it around a bit before taking a delicate sip. He would give the enterprising businesswoman some space to breathe, then he would see if he couldn't calm matters.

The Herglic in the extra large business suit noticed a familiar bust face in the crowd of well-to-dos. [member="Danger Arceneau"]. He crossed the distance between them in a few slow strides.

"Hallo, Miss Arceneau. And how are you enjoying Darkwater Security's services?"
