The Conclave of Yutan: Return of the Jedi Order.

Conclave of the Jedi Order:

Veiere's path seemed to have come a full circle, once more returning to the world of Yutan of which he had entered during his service to the Galactic Republic alongside his employer, now wife following their meeting so long ago. Back then the Jedi Order of the Republic had been at a cross roads, the Republic struggled to control their worlds while war was rife across their sectors thanks to the One Sith Empire and the Mandalorian Clans who eventually took up arms and dismantled what remained of the democratic state. During this time, Veiere had called fourth a conclave within this very temple, a meeting of Jedi in which they might discuss openly together the future of their path in the hope of preserving the ideals and traditional teachings of the old Code. Much to his disappointment, the support he had received had also come with the disagreement of their Grandmaster and a handful of his peers thus forced to step away before it all caved in on itself. He had watched as Jedi had taken up positions in the senate, mixing politics with the Order, something he had strongly disagreed with and been taught to abstain from least the pursuits of desire mar the obvious advantage they had within the application of the force and influence of the Order itself. Commenor had been his safety net, to which he had departed for with [member="Lady Kay"], the Republic collapsing soon after.

Much had transpired since and his faith had wavered many a time, the path of the Jedi had never been an easy one and with the lack of support from other Jedi that followed in the same beliefs and tenets of the code as thoroughly as he sought to, he had often found himself doubting his path, struggling with the current state of the Jedi in the galaxy, those who had become split by the last great schism to which resulted in the Silver Sanctum Coalitions establishment as well as the Jedi Order of the Galactic Alliance. After the battle of Atrisia, it had been made all too evident that the state of their people had decayed well beyond what they had once been as a unified body, now arguing often amongst themselves over whose path was justified above others.

The Commenor Systems Alliance had over time grown far larger than the simple single world of trade that he had supported his wife in leading, always doing his utmost to stray as far from politics as possible yet being there for Kay where she needed him, his priority between serving the Force and supporting the people often wound up coinciding with his desire to do good for the galaxy so at war with itself. Finding themselves in talks with the sector of Yutan and her neighboring worlds, while she sought to establish the Senate, Veiere's focus shifted to the old Jedi Temple, of which he and a select few other Jedi sought to re-establish. Now with the Temple once more in a state fitting for the Jedi Order, Veiere reached out to the galaxy announcing the Jedi Order's renewed strength of purpose and the wish to bring together a new conclave that they might find themselves once more, to look beyond their differences and offer a place of light and purpose to all Jedi that sought to return to the old ways.

Asheda walked around the newly repaired Jedi temple, admiring the structure and size of the building, it had taken a while but the Yutan temple was starting to look like a place that you'd expect Jedi to be walking around in large numbers. Unfortunately this did not seem to be the case, the temple was still fairly quite save for a dozen or so people who came to the planet when the peace talks where being conducted. As of now she only truly knew two people, knight @Cambria Zadria and the large [member="Calder Icehammer"] all the other where still unfamiliar to her. "Ill use this chance to get to know the others better" She said to herself with an air of determination. She made her way into one of the main foyers to see if there was anyone around to talk to, making friends would be essential to a productive life as a Jedi.

Yutan

After his trip to Commenor Soryn had stayed pretty close by while contemplating the next place he would visit. Nothing had really jumped out at him. Compounded by the fact none of the more publicly accessible orders searchable on the holonet had returned any of his requests for a meeting.

Not wanting to sit around a ship for days on end he decided to stop in on Yutan. A good nights sleep in a regular bed would do him so good. So that is what he did. Landing at the Starport Soryn wandered around a little bit looking for a place to get a room. During his inquiries he had heard mention of a recently renovated Jedi Temple. Apparently a Temple with some history relating to recent events of a tumultuous nature. A fact that intrigued him.

Surely if anyone could respect the need.............no obligation to take a firmer stance on the Dark side it would be a group who had been victims and even victimized by the agents of the dark side.

Soryn made some inquiries as to the exact location of this Temple before making his way there. On foot it would take him a little bit to get there. Sure he could have taken a speeder and been there in minutes. However Soryn was curious about the surrounding area making the extended tour of great use.

Former Galactic Republic Outpost, Yutan Jedi Temple

What was described to him as a bastion of the light stood as a drab, plain structure tucked in the middle of an abandoned garrison. Evidence of a battle remained in the form of charred earth, but any corpses left behind by the struggle were either decayed or buried. He saw no skulls, and smelled no rot. In their place, new life had sprung up to consume the old and delapidated barracks. Rifles and armor strewn across the dirt were trapped beneath overgrowth. Long strands of ivy crept up the walls, and the blown out door frames were littered with cobwebs.

It symbolized the nature of their galaxy, to retake and renew whatever man ruined. Durell Arden told his son once, that the people of their galaxy often forgot that power of any kind was a poison. While benign in their intentions, the Republic still drank from the same tainted fountain as every other denizen of their galaxy. Ruin was in their nature. Denial of that power was important. Refusal to allow it to consume you. Understanding that what you take, is not yours.

It made little sense to him.

The musings of an aging man felt to Thom like madness. During that time, he had never felt the Force. He thought talk of it was madness, and the idea of true, tangible power was reserved for people with fancy titles and expensive clothing. Jedi? A wive's tale.

Yet here he was. Dust blew across the courtyard as he carefully stepped over unmarked graves, silently saying words to comfort the lost souls that fell there. There had been a time he thought they could not hear, and that the idea of an afterlife was inane.

Then, he heard the Force. A rustle in the wind, no more than leaves fallen from trees, and the sound of flowing water- all those seemingly unimportant things came to life when he felt himself as a part of something vastly bigger.

His natural response had been fear, but he could not flee from it. He wanted to understand, but his father had fallen, and he could no longer tell Thom tales of the Jedi. The only way to learn was to seek them for himself.

So, he took up the metal cylinder that had belonged to Durell before him, and he went on a journey to seek the Jedi. Word reached him, after many long months, of a meeting on Yutan. A meeting of those Jedi, to whom he did not belong.

He ascended the steps, he walked through the doors, and he saw...

A handful of people, almost no different from anyone else.

"What was I expecting?" he muttered to himself.

Calder had only been in the temple for a day, most of which was spent trying to recover from his heatstroke, but he already felt the calming aura of the Jedi that he had longed for. Perhaps now he could finally be the Jedi he felt he was destined to become. Once again he would stick to the back of the growing group, his blue eyes looking over all who arrived. At a staggering ten feet this would have normally been an intimidating sight, especially with the massive Icehammer held in just a single hand, but strapped to his forehead was a frozen water skin. The arid planet had taken him out once already and he had no intention of suffering another heatstroke.

For now he was silent, an old observer attempting to learn something new. [member="Veiere Arenais"] had sent out the call, and hopefully more would show.

Wandering around the main foyer she spotted the [member="Calder Icehammer"] in the corner still dealing with the above average heat of the planet, on thing they wouldn't have to change with the temple is ad some sort of climate conditioning system for certain members that couldn't handle the heat or just liked cold places.

She waved to the huge ball of fur not really intimidated by him, looking around she was about to decide to talk with him when a new force signature aproched the temple. It felt untrained but still prominent, briskly walking to the entrance and came into view of the new arrival, a boy clasping a lightsaber holy of some sort, or at least what she thought was a lightsaber hilt.

Looking over the newcomer as she approahed him she noted his clothing and other details, once she was within hand shaking distance "hello there, welcome to the Yutan Jdi temple, of the newly formed Jedi order, a place where all Jedi are welcome, my name is Asheda Tyr and I am one of the few padawans here". To be himself she could be the only on at the moment, most members were knights or masters that had ties to the republic and had left their respective orders to come back.

She shook the thigh out of her head and continued to talk to the newbie "might I ask why you have come here, are you looking to be trained in the ways of the force and to become a Jedi"? She had a good idea of what he was going to say, somthing about him told her 'related to Jedi order' somehow, it was more gut instinct than the force, she patiently waited for said reply putting on a warm smile to comfort him.

They ranged in size from small to immense, but all of them had a soothing presence about them. At least, that was what he gleaned from the first few steps he took inside. His senses were unsharpened, frail, and prone to misgivings- if it was calm the Jedi intended to radiate, they had either done the job well, or managed to easily fool the young man. It was all so new to him.

When the Togruta girl approached him, he was less apprehensive than he was startled. He had clearly expected to go unnoticed, or to seem like background noise in the midst of a meeting of proper Jedi. He glanced down to his hand, which absently clenched around the artifact of his father's tenure as a Jedi. Thom had never been able to activate the weapon himself, and so it remained little more than a symbol in his grip.

He clipped it to his waist once more, hoping that would help abate some of the tension surrounding him.

"Thank you," he managed to say as he rubbed at the back of his head nervously. It was painfully obvious, his lack of composure. "All of this is... very new to me," he admitted.

Part of him wanted to answer with a long story, about his father and the decision to become a Jedi once he was aware of the Force. It would be easy to slip into a rant, and to talk the ear off a poor, unsuspecting Padawan- whatever a Padawan was. Was it a rank? Was it a high rank? Stang, Thom thought, does she think I'm being rude?

"I did come seeking the Jedi," he allowed himself to say, "but I'm not sure if they will be quite as interested in me as I am in them."

A new Jedi Order would have more important things to worry about, right?

[member="Asheda Tyr"]

It didn't take a force sensitive to realise the boy was nervous about being greeted, true the masters and knights might not have given a lot of attention but not being as well aquanted with them she was alway keeping an eye out for new arrivals. Though she could also sense a slight amount of destress form him, it came to her that perhaps his past was not the most pleasant and could have been bad to force un said memories.

She put on a more casual attitude "you don't need to be so angsty, I was like you when I first came here, a little less timid but still shy. I'm the yo ingest here and the most inexperienced Jedi so you don't need to feel so afraid of me", She listened to the rest of his reasoning, "don't sell yourself short I bet your past is a whole lot more interesting then mine".

She turned around and waved a hand "where still a faily small groups so I'm sure you will get to know everyone faily well if you chose to train here, besides it will be fun to have another leaner like me around, we could study together, though I am 2 years ahead hehehe". She laughed a bit at her rambling before calming down " do you want me to give you a quick rundown on who's who, tommy knowledge anyways."

~ Yutan ~

It was so nice to finally be somewhere and it not being a diplomatic mission. It had been so long since Rell had been out. Her brother really hadn't let her out of his sight after what had happened months ago. So honestly, she had pretty much snuck out to explore the universe again. Here she had come to Yutan.

Rell had no idea how she wound up here, but she liked it so far. It was a pretty planet and so far, maybe it was just because she was nicely dressed, but the people seemed to be really nice so far. Something had drawn her to this planet though.. Something she couldn't exactly describe.

She hadn't really had a good chance to get enhanced in the force, but she could sense that someone had been beckoning her here to the planet. Maybe they could help her with the force?? Train her a bit? Who knew? Opportunities always surfaced in new places.

The Hall of Concordance
The Temple of Yutan was a structure built up of the most simplest of needs, a place that was meant to humble the Jedi in their distance from materialist desires; while technology wasn't absent from the Temple, it would too earn no rewards in its state of appearance for lack of glamour. For Veiere this was perfect for the reformation of the Jedi Order, an unspoken statement to the ideals of which they stood for; to forgo the luxuries of self desire, instead prioritizing the needs of others. Service to the Force as opposed to service to ones self. Technology in today's society was a necessity without a doubt, yet they would only come to use what was absolutely necessary for the comfort and continuity of their path.

Kneeling within the center of the floor, his head bowed and the light of the sun flowing in through the hollow ahead, he could feel the activity within the temple, the life that had come in question of what this rumored Order was to be about. Some of them had joined him and helped to rebuild the Temple since it had been dealt a crippling blow during the raids that followed the Republic's fall, while others had answered the summons of the Conclave. For whatever their reasons, however they differed, all of them held an obvious interest in supporting the Jedi Order.

'Welcome everyone, please join me in the Hall of Concordance'
The words would reach all who had come, though they were not spoken upon the tip of his tongue but the breath of the Force. Telepathic communication was one such reward for a Jedi's dedication to training. Those that sought to learn the ability would come to understand that speaking through the Force did not just convey words but too emotions, images, memories and even the very presence of their aura; something that Veiere was expressing in the moment. Many of them would question the location of this hall, though they only had to question the source of his words to also feel the his presence, like a beacon of warmth, Veiere's force signature would lead them all in the right direction, so that they would eventually come to approach the hall where the Conclave was to be held.

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay had heard [member="Veiere Arenais"] ' call through the Force. It was an open call, not exactly geared towards her, but through their Force Bond and enhanced by their alchemized rings, she heard it.

So it was beginning. He was reaching out to others and bringing them to him, to follow his light. Kay wanted to go, but it was too risky and she had other duties to tend to. She loved being near him and was slightly jealous that others got to be in his presence more than she did. But such was the sacrifice that their chosen paths gave them. They knew this long before they were wed. They accepted it.

She wanted to speak with him, to give him a reply, but feared that doing so would only disrupt. So instead she remained silent. There were important subjects that she needed to discuss with him, but that could wait, at least for a little while longer. Kay would check up on him later and then in that time, she would tell him what she needed to.

A Blue Guardian Angel (inactive)
As Cambria exhaled, the exotic alien beauty shifted her weight from one bootless foot to the other while she gracefully moved through a three step exercise. Each footfall over the mossy meadow was accentuated with a breath. The motions remained slow as the Rutian Twi'lek turned and her right arm swept across her ample bosom.

Breathe in

Thick dark lashes brushed over a lightly blushed blue-hued skin as gold-speckled hazel orbs fell behind closed lids. The Jedi Knight did not need her vision to perform a kata familiar since she was but a youngling.

Breathe out

Tight muscles loosened as she breezed through the first level kata. The trials and tribulations of recent drifted away as she easily stepped into the second level kata with the grace that could only come from a lifetime of practice. The simple, controlled moves stretched muscles and prepared her for the more complex actions of the daily meditative ritual as thoughts shifted from her past thirty-five years to the present, and onto the possibilities of the future.

In time with her gentle motions, another breath filled the Jedi Guardian's lungs. The rise and fall of her chest shimmered with a light sheen of moisture from the meditative workout. Soft planes of toned muscles shifted under velvety soft skin as bare feet danced over the cool durasteel decking while twin, lightly tattooed brain tails swayed in a synchronized duet above.

Falling into the ingrained motions of the ancient kata, Cambria's mind slipped free from its restraints of blood and bone. Weary thoughts reached out, mingling with the awesome presence of the Living Force. The energies flowed around her like the oceans of Minaar, wrapping the Jedi in a warm, gentle floating comfort.

The ethereal power source was all encompassing, enveloping Cambria's battered spirit and filling in the chips of her mental armor, centering the Twi'lek once again in the Force.

Breathe in. Breathe out.

As the Force washed over her like a great wave, then returned out to sea, Cambria was cleansed of the burdens that had weakened her strength of heart.

Veiere Arenais said:
'Welcome everyone, please join me in the Hall of Concordance'
When the blue-skinned Knight opened her golden eyes to the mental message received, a pleased smile came to her face as she stood in the middle of the gardens, then she quickly pulled back on her boots and proceeded inside the Yutani Jedi Temple that she had been helping Jedi Master [member="Veiere Arenais"] to restore as of late.

Stepping through the entrance of the designated hall, Cambria canted her head respectfully both to the new faces seen and familiar as the Twi'lek Jedi strolled into the great room and took her place in a thoughtful manner among them. She was dressed in modified Jedi robes that were mindful of her species with a bronze-colored hooded cloak draped over them; a straight-hilted silver lightsaber hanging from the left side of the leather utility belt slung low off her shapely hips.

[member="Asheda Tyr"]. [member="Soryn Solimar"]. [member="Thom Arden"]. [member="Calder Icehammer"]. [member="Lady Kay"].

The message was heard by the large being, and he smiled. There was something about the telepathic words that sat well within Calder's mind. Slowly he would make his way to the source of the voice, hefting his hammer onto his shoulder as he would walk to it. Like before he would keep to the back, his large head gazing over any newcomer with curiosity. It hadn't struck him before but [member="Cambria Zadira"] had a pair of tentacles hanging from her head. While the blue skin wasn't something new, it was clear with the head pieces that she was not human.

Humans were the only race he knew to exist outside his own. On top of that, [member="Asheda Tyr"] too was vastly different. There was much for him to learn, and this gathering would prove to show a great many variety of the citizens of the Galaxy.

[member="Veiere Arenais"]

"I'm one with the Force," the boy softly spoke as he sat alone in his quarters. "And the Force is with me."

The boy was meditating in his room when he heard the telepathic message. The Force was guiding him in that moment, just as it always had. It was then that he stood up and collected his thoughts for a moment, taking in everything he had been pondering during his time of meditation and consolation with himself. The message instructed him towards the Hall of Concordance, where it was a possibility that he would meet his new Master, and finally be recognized as a Padawan of the Jedi Order. Dane entered the open hall, seeing the diverse company of figures conversing amongst one another.

Here discussion with [member="Thom Arden"] was interrupted by the force message sent out by [member="Veiere Arenais"], a welcoming and reassuring felling coming over her as well as Thom, "there's no point it just hanging here by the entrance, come ill introduce you to some of the people i know" She led the boy a bit further into the temple and started to point out certain individuals to him which she knew about.

She started of with the biggest person in the room as to make sure Thom didn't feel intimidate by them "that one over their is [member="Calder Icehammer"], he might seem big and all but hes a kind fellow, he was on the verge of heat stroke when we found him at the temple entrance, hes a lucky buur". Next she looked around until she was the familiar twi'lek, "that there is knight and guardian [member="Cambria Zadira"], she was the first person I meet upon coming here, she kind and wise and was part of the original Jedi order of the Republic, looks like she was practicing some Katas, ill have to try them out for myself at some point".

She look around for the moment but couldn't see anyone really familiar, so lastly she decided to point out the most prominent member, "okay so I might not know a lot but here's the last one, as you probably felt the force message a bit ago i have the pleasure of introducing you to [member="Veiere Arenais"], Jedi master and leader of the order at the moment, so how do you feel"?

[member="Dane Teraan"] [member="Soryn Solimar"]

Soryn had finally made it to the Temple. Waiting a moment outside he took the time to take in the view. It looked like a mix of new construction over old foundation. He sighed lookign at it all before making his way up the steps to the door of the place.

Right off the bat it seemed more deserted than his own home Temple was.

He noticed a small group of people headed in the same direction as if an important meeting was taking place. His curiosity peaked Soryn slid in step with the back of the group and followed the crowd. That was until he came to a great hall slowly filling up with Jedi a lone figure at the front.

Soryn slid of to the side remaining in the back of the room and waited. He was in no hurry to interrupt whatever is was going on.

[member="Asheda Tyr"] [member="Thom Arden"] [member="Dane Teraan"] [member="Veiere Arenais"] [member="Cambria Zadira"] [member="Calder Icehammer"]

The girl spoke and offered him a tour, but no sooner did the words leave her mouth than a strange feeling washed over him. Unlike the more attuned Jedi, the youth did not hear a message proper, but felt compelled in the direction of [member="Veiere Arenais"]. There was a warmth there, a light that he could feel that drew him like a moth. It almost took no effort for [member="Asheda Tyr"] to convince him to follow her.

She gestured toward several Jedi and named them off, but his eyes sought something specific. That feeling- it was so familiar, so kind, and so strong. He remembered the same sensation when his father's watchful, protective gaze was on him. Thom rarely felt homesick, because Thom never truly considered the place he was born "home."

Instead, home was where he felt he belonged. Home was with his father, until the day that Durell died. He searched tirelessly for something that validated him in that same way. It was selfish, but also, it was the only way he knew to be.

Stories of the Jedi Order in his youth had seemed like nothing but fairy tales. When his mother would talk of the grandest places in all the Republic, he thought of them as places he would never go. His father often talked about the war, and the awful things he had witnessed as a precaution. Until he felt it for himself, Thom had always laughed.

He wanted to help people. More than anything, he wanted to protect others- even if he had never fought a day in his life. So, with a tight grip on his father's lightsaber once more, he found the Master of the Order just as the Padawan said his name.

That was the source of the feeling. Jedi Master Veiere Arenais.

"I feel..." Thom mumbled, in a daze. "...my father," he answered. It was non-sensical, as he had never met the man. But he felt what he felt.

As Rell walked into the Temple behind a few other force users, a faint voice came upon a soft breeze passed her ear that said for them all to meet him in the Concordance hall.. What did that mean? She had no idea. She was still fairly new to the force. Not by choice, but by the position she had been born into. She tried convincing her brother to let her get a master to help train her after her run in with a Sith user not long ago, but he felt that it would interject her focus on ruling a kingdom.

He always had excuses. Either way, she needed the training to figure out why she had such abilities. As if someone was guiding her, she gently pushed through the crowd, going between spaces that were large enough for her to get through. She wasn't being rude in fact, it was unnoticeable technically. Within moments, along with a few others, she came upon a hall.

A single being knelt in the center as a beam of light caressed his very presence. The young princess moved into the room as she walked towards the man slightly. She was unsure what to do, so Rell mainly stayed with the crowd, but remained a small distance away.

His call to the others had been a success. Slowly the group had filtered in and among them were some that Veiere had recognized from their collaborative efforts in the Temples restoration, others he knew from before that yet he was also gladdened by the arrival of newcomers, emphasizing the fact that his call to those outside of Yutan had heard the Order's need for support and heeded it some. These were very significant times, a monumental step towards the revitalization of the Jedi Order formerly a symbol of light and integrity in force practice; the days ahead would be arduous and not without their struggles yet with their faith in the will of the force and the perseverance to see their path through to the end, the people that Veiere found himself looking upon were the first among those that would later represent the Jedi for the standard and traditional ideals they were once so well known by.

Standing atop the elevated level, a difference of only four or five steps above the others yet enough to cater for their viewing the older man had found his feet and turned to offer them all a bow of his head in formal greeting. His voice here within the Hall needed no assistance, their numbers were few yet satisfactory and he was not nearly so frail as to lack a wealth of volume. "Greetings, all of you. My name is Veiere Arenais and welcome to the Hall of Concordance, a place of ceremony and meeting for what is to become the Jedi Order's heart of infrastructure here on Yutan. Some of you I have had the pleasure of meeting already while others have I have sadly not, yet all of us have at some point of our lives felt a calling by something more...-The Force as it's come to be known", he took extra care not to speak to far into the advanced philosophies of the Jedi teachings, careful not to test those among them who had not yet had the experience to comprehend such things and deter them by consequence. "For those of you who do not quite understand the nature behind what it is that has brought you here, we can certainly teach you. Training and developing our knowledge of the force and understanding of ourselves and our place in the galaxy is at the very core of a Jedi's life in service to others. of which there is plenty of time to discuss in depth as we move forward; however, I have called this conclave together to discuss the current state of the Jedi in the Galaxy today, and why I believe it is time we returned with a renewed focus upon the traditional values and principles of the Jedi Code starting today...".

"Once, now long ago the Jedi Order stood whole as a pillar of light to balance out the darkness that crept toward us all. That pillar became fractured, it splintered and pieces of it drifted to various corners of the galaxy leaving only a small piece of what remained. That Pillar was the Jedi Order and what shattered its strength was not the Sith or Dark Jedi out there but in-fighting led by self-justification and desire for gain over others. These fragments that escaped, drifted elsewhere have grown into the Silver Jedi Order and the Jedi of the Galactic Alliance, some are rumored to be within the Northern Dominion too though I know not their state. These pieces, sections of the Order that once was united under common integrity have adapted their ways to fit their needs best in a galaxy rife with war. These are people that I have met, Jedi that I have befriended and learned about, some of them I greatly admire...But ultimately they do not represent the Jedi Order that I dedicated three decades of my life too since I was but a boy...."; Veiere did not enjoy calling upon the names of the other Jedi groups within the galaxy, for a number of reasons but most especially the fact that they were at heart simply trying to be the best Jedi they knew how to be, molded by a galaxy around them evolving within Chaos. He was but one man and though he disagreed with their ways, it was not his place to judge; thus he did his best to speak on a tone of neutrality towards them, least his peers today get the wrong impression. "Compassion for all life, tolerance for the various backgrounds that we share and separate us as individuals, restraint in ourselves that we seek not to offend others; never instigating dissent but doing our utmost to keep the peace. These are merely few of the examples the Order once stood for and will do so again with your support and dedication..."

"I do wonder though...Today this is a room for discussion and I encourage you all, one at a time if you could be so kind, share with me your thoughts for the future of the Jedi. Or perhaps you have questions of me, I'm certain there will be many but I don't wish to be up here the only one talking. Come, speak freely...".

The first one she took interest in as she arrived was the boy. He was young, even younger than her, but had a pure heart. she gave him a once over and smiled. A young Jedi was easy to mold into a righteous Jedi and after a few more trials to attain her Knighthood, she might take him on. For now she flashed him a smile and waved him over to join her.

[member="Calder Icehammer"]

Calder was the next person she noticed in the back of the hall. The hulking polar bear with the war hammer was impossible to miss. She approached him and bowed, then placed a hand on his arm in a gentle greeting. He'd been present at a class she'd held for Jedi on light sabers, and offered great talking points.

"Good to see you again Knight Icehammer! How have you been?"

[member="Veiere Arenais"]

Veiere launched into his speech and she diengaged tucking her thumbs into her belt. She was the first to step forwards and address the group.

"Master Arenais, Fellow Jedi. A pleasure to meet you all. My name is Karren Trask. I was drawn here the same as you.

Let me be frank. I am disheartened with the state of the Jedi today. So many Orders, so many conflicting ideologies. Some of the younger generation find it confusing to see which is the purest of us. which is the pillar of the Code that will keep us in line with the Traditional ways of the Jedi.

I served the Silver Jedi for a bit. I grew wary of their new found Militance, which clashes horribly with their almost apathetic wanton disregard of the carnage going on outside their territory.

I visited the New Jedi order, and I was not so impressed to see legions of troopers lead into battle by Jedi with a wanton leaning towards violence.

I am only a Padawan at the moment. But I aim to be much more. I should think that all of us would hold ourselves to a higher standard, and respect the traditions and codes that have governed us since the first Je'daii set foot upon Tython.

I am here to stay. I am here to teach others, foremost, how to be a Jedi of the Old ways.
