Intent: To provide a base from with the Galactic Republic Intelligence Community to operate from.

Classification: Military Intelligence

Location: An Asteroid on the outskirts of the Roche Asteroid Cluster

Affiliation: The Galactic Republic Military

Population: 30,000 (15,000 people & 15,000 droid)

People:
- 5,000 Intelligence Agents specializing in various areas (e.g., slicers, technological engineering)
- 5,000 Military Personnel acting as the security force for the base
- 2,500 Naval Personnel manning the bases aerial defense program
- 2,500 Miscellaneous personnel (e.g., cooks, doctors)
Droids:
- 5,000 Battle/Security Droids
- 5,000 droids tied to the gathering and analyzing of intelligence
- 5,000 helper droids aiding in the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities

Defenses:

- Aerial defense fleet: 4 x Squadrons of Valiant-Class Starfighter
- 6 x Turbolaser Defense Turrets, 3 on top side of the asteroid, 3 on lower side of asteroid
- Isolation and segmentation of the facility allows for maximum lockdown using deflector shielding
- 2 x Ion Canons (fighter size) located at the entrance to the Hangar bay.
- Secrecy: Probably the greatest asset the facility has in its defense is its relative anonymity. On paper the base is a military refueling depot that is conveniently located in a position to avoid prying eyes (of both government oversight and foreign powers). Individuals who work on the base are those who have high enough clearance to be trusted with its location and are rarely given shore leaves. Care and dedication go into the screening of people who are given access and the screening continues long after they are considered "trusted." No one on the Hub is outside of scrutiny.

Points of Interest:

Exterior:
- On the surface of the asteroid is the exterior compound. This is a circular structure, with a large conference room at its center. This conference room is where many of the meetings occur and is secured with state of the art sensors and droids to monitor and ensure that no listening devices are brought into the room. The outer ring of the exterior compound is an observation hallway with transparent walls allowing those within to look out at space and surface of the asteroid.
- The hangar is kept on lockdown with both a blast shield and a double set of reinforced doors that remain sealed until authorized vehicles and ships are leaving or entering the facility.

Interior:
- Lowest level. The lower level of the compound houses the basic commodities of the facility. Mess halls, living quarters, a single well monitored cantina, and various other commodities are here to provide the workers with all the comforts of home.
- 2nd level. The second level of the compound houses the military barracks and naval outposts. This is the floor that directly connects to the hangar bay and the typical route through which all people come and go from the facility. There are a number of heavily secured checkpoints that one must go through to reach access to the lower level of the top level of the interior facility.
- Top level. The heart of the facility. This is where the intelligence gathering and deciphering of information occurs. The floor is divided into multiple departments such as encryption, code breaking, technological engineering, and counter-terrorism. These men and women are at the tops of their respective fields and virtually never leave the Hub. At the center of this floor is a small office that houses the Director of Intelligence when he or she is on base.

Description: With the ongoing reformation of Galactic Republic Intelligence it became necessary to establish a base of operations that was not compromised by the previous administration. In a cost effective maneuver, Mark Crassis, the newly appointed director of the Intelligence Agency, seized on a dilapidated military base located in the Roche Asteroid Belt. A little dirty dealing and a bit of bribing put the base into the Intelligence Agencies hands. With the aid of the local Verpine, the facility was re-fitted into a highly secure, highly secretive, intelligence gathering base of operations.

The Central Hub, as it would be known, allowed for Republic intelligence gathering to happen in a secure location and with little oversight from the government. However, not willing to put all his eggs in one basic, there were a number of safeguards put in place to ensure no leaks and to minimize the damage if leaks did occur. It was impossible to provide impenetrable security, but it was possible to plug any leaks quickly and efficiently.

From the Central Hub, the newly refurbished Intelligence Agency would strike out at the enemies of the Galactic Republic and level a watchful eye on potential threats....even among friends.

History: Initially a dilapidated, older military base. Upon acquisition of the base, Mark Crassis oversaw the retro-fitting of it into a functioning intelligence operation.

Okay so when you say Ion Cannon I'm just making sure do you mean like a fighter sized Ion Cannon a Capital Ship sized Ion Cannon or like a Planetary Ion Cannon? I'm assuming the first from the location, but just want to make sure I'm reading it correctly before I throw a stamp on it.

One other thing to note; The population of the station seems rather high for a super secret facility. You don't need edit because 'whatever' but its something to consider. The more people, as opposed to droids, that work there the more likely it is for the places location to get out ect. ect. So if you WANT to edit go ahead otherwise yeah.

You are correct, it is a fighter size and I put a small note in there indicating such.

I'm going to leave the size of the population. I liked the idea of having a larger population but still maintaining relative secrecy as an indicator that they work very, very hard to maintain the secrecy of the place. Of course, it would be impossible for word or some hints as to the facility getting out given the size, but they work very hard to plug any leaks in information. Besides that, if it starts off secretive but slowly over time people start to become aware of its existence, it won't harm the function of it (we know about the CIA in Langley, VA!).
