Name: Kiin
Loyalties: Blackthorne, Harrowbane, by extension the Dreadlady Sable
Role: The five main crew members of the Harrowbane. Though there are many faceless, nameless others, these will be the five to keep the closest contact and relevance to any threads pertaining to the exploits of The Black Hand, The Harrowbane and its Captain.

Species: Rattataki
Appearance: Tall, broad shouldered, swimmer-type build. Kiin makes up for what he lacks in brute strength with an edge of agility and acrobatics. Typical Rattataki stock, he bears the black markings but would be considered more or less indistinguishable. Kiin prefers to keep a low profile - his wardrobe consisting mostly of black robes with layers of light leather armor that allows for ease of movement without weighing him down.
Personality: Acerbic. Forward. Kiin is known best for saying exactly what's on his mind. He's truthful to a fault and struggles with empathy towards others. His is a mind of cunning and strategy, making him prime choice for missions that require a delicate touch and forethought. Kiin has a lot to prove and a few chips on his shoulders from his time spent in the Cauldron. He doesn't tend to trust easily, though he formed a strong bond with the Whiphid Sherra and harbors a strong crush on his new Captain. He is curious and book smart, tech-oriented and generally prefers working with droids than other sentients. Kiin tends to over-analyze and complicate things. He is highly critical of the faults of others.

Weapon of Choice: High-tech weapons. Swords. Vibrostaff.
Skills: Technologically inclined. He's the crew member that's on the up-and-up of the latest tech gadgets, ships and weapons. His combat skills are less melee oriented due to his lower overall strength and more long-range, assassin style. Skilled duelist. Agile and sure-footed. Educated and well-read.
Wealth: Low. He relies on the spoils of the Harrowbane's exploits to get by.
Combat Function: Kiin seeks the high ground as often as possible and keeps his distance from his enemy when confronted head-on. His approach is assassin-style: long range or ambush for a quick kill. In a fight he knows he can't win, Kiin will flee. Whether or not he'll stay or return to help another of his crew in need depends entirely upon how much he likes them.
Notable Possessions: Nothing of note.
History: Kiin got his start in the Cauldron after a deal with a black market trader went incredibly bad. He found himself several hundred-thousand credits in debt and thrown into the gladiator pits where he would either pay it off by winning, or die. He wasn't in there long before he took a spear through the side and was left to languish and bleed out by his manager. Kiin was saved by an unlikely friend: a female whiphid named Sherra who nursed him back to health in between her own fight for survival in the pits. He promised to help her in return for saving his life - this promise being put to the ultimate test when the pair were the last two standing in what was only meant to be a last man standing arena fight. Sherra refused to fight back, forcing Kiin to make the ultimate decision on whether or not to go through with it to earn his freedom. He was saved from making what likely would have been a terrible choice by the arrival of a new Gladiator to the arena: Blackthorne. When everything was said and done, Kiin accepted an offer to join her crew and convinced Sherra to come with him. To this day he is haunted by the notion that he might've gone through with killing her had fate not seen to intervene.
He stands as the present tech-guy aboard the Harrowbane and is in charge of maintaining the systems.
