DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Resistance: Typical of a Sith sword born of alchemy. It's imbuement allows it an exponential amount of resistance to kinetic weaponry, blaster bolts, and even lightsabers.
  • Lightning: Another staple trait. It's capable of channeling Force Lightning cast at Judas and is absorbed and remains as potential energy until commanded to expel via Judas's use of the Force.
  • Nexus: A trait Judas himself integrated into the blade. A well of darkside power dwells within the blade, offering a reservoir of power and energy to be consumed in the midst of battle. Often used to help pull Judas from the hellish trance that is Force Rage.
  • Never Dulls: Another standard trait of Sith swords. Maintenance for this baby is a breeze.

Strengths:
  • [+] Standard Issue: It comes with all the bells and whistles all average Sith swords bear: lightsaber resistance, the channeling of Force Lightning, and the fact that it never dulls or requires much maintenance.
  • [+] Force Nexus: It's a well of darkside power that allows its wielder to summon greater strength in the Force in times of dire circumstances.
  • [+] Thick Blade: Blocking projectiles and the sort are quite easy with this. Whereas lightsabers and most other swords have thinner blades, the Betrayer does not.
Weaknesses:
  • [-] Weight: As such for a Sith sword, it's pretty darn heavy. Extended use of the Betrayer will greatly fatigue the user in the long run.
  • [-] Darkside Aura: It's quite noticeable in the Force, to both Ashlan and Bogan followers. Stealth isn't an option with this bad boy.
  • [-] Blood Tithe: The drawback of the Force Nexus. To utilize the Nexus at all and call upon its powers, the blade itself calls for blood. Not just any blood - the blood of its creator. This means that Judas must inflict wounds upon himself before, during, and after combat to use this power to its fullest extent.
DESCRIPTION

A weapon nearly as old as Judas is. Wielded by the man during his earlier days in the galaxy, it has seen the strife and hatred that permeates war. Suffering, rage, hatred, and anger are all emotions quite familiar both to this blade and its creator. While its origin story dates back to a family trinket from decades before, the former Sith Lord known as Judas Foster repurposed this sword and crafted it into something even greater, something much more powerful.

All in all, it's a fairly standard sword albeit longer, thicker, and heavier than most. This allows for great range and cleaving power when assaulting large groups of foes in close combat though it restricts Judas in terms of close environments. But it really is heavy. Extended use of the Betrayer will greatly fatigue its user in the long run and make for sore muscles the following day.

As for its other traits, they're the staple of any Sith sword: lightsaber resistance, Force Lightning channeling, and the never dulling edge. Atop that, Judas soaked the sword in his own power and blood during the alchemical ritual, thus creating a darkside Nexus in the Force that dwells within the Betrayer itself. A wellspring of dark power and might slumber deep within; however, this great power can only be awakened by the pain of its creator: Judas. Be it self-inflicted or of that of his foe, as long as his blood is freely flowing, the power's resonance grows stronger.

In the past, Judas has often used this reservoir of potential power to pull himself from the trances of the darkside - Force Rage to be exact.

Summarily, this is a fairly simple Sith sword albeit much longer and heavier than the usual. It's got all the staple characteristics of your average one aside from the imbued Force Nexus. At last, the Betrayer makes its name known to the galaxy - this time seeking vengeance.
