Intent: Why not? Also Ayden said I could.

Development Thread:

Manufacturer: Lord Dissero

Model: n/a

Affiliation: Open market.

Modularity: One could add a feather or a card to the band of the hat, but this would ultimately work against the full effectiveness of the hat's intended purpose.

Production: Production: Unique

Material: Alchemized Vornskyr leather

Description: A hat like only one other. This Ayden Cater replica hat is one of the most convincing you will ever come across. So much so that even the former Lord Protector's closest of companions and chums would have a difficult time telling the difference save the fact that it is not upon the former Lord Protector's regal crown. Its materials were weathered and worn to match the look of the original for the closest possible synthetic authenticity before the alchemy was performed.

How did Dissero get to be so up close and personal with the real deal? He took full advantage of Ayden Cater's long stays on Kuat while visiting the Queen, Dissero's mother.

Aside from this, the hat has only two outstanding qualities:

1. The leather and adornments are alchemized to resist any further damage or wear. This thing will likely haunt Ayden Cater for the rest of his life.
2. Utilizing a hair sample taken from Ayden's original hat, the replica has been imbued with a Force illusion spell that casts the image of Ayden Cater over its wearer. No matter the height, race, or species, this spell will turn even the most obscene Zambrano the Hutt into a fully-fledged, authentically outfitted and grisled Lord Protector complete with sleep-deprived, careworn, three-day-bristle facade.

The catch? Not only is the wearer not aware of this spell [unless they have a running knowledge and experience in sensing Force Illusions, but this would not necessarily tell them what is occuring] but the spell does not extend to voice, smell, DNA, or the likes. It offers no physical substance, much like any other use of Force Illusion, as such a hand will pass right through the figure of Cater unless the wearer of the hat is close in physical dimensions.

It is an active spell that works any time the hat is worn by a living being, drawing negligible amounts of energy from the wearer in order to activate. Even a dog will activate the spell, as Dissero found, which in turn makes for some very peculiar interactions with the crafted Ayden Cater. Force wielders adept at sensing and seeing through these illusions can do so without too much effort. When in proximity to anything creating a Force null field such as Ysalamir the hat is rendered to its normal use. The spell does not work on inorganic minds such as Droids or AI and has diminished effect on those of Force-resistant origins such as Hutts and Yuuzhan-vong.
