SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The Shield Generator: The shield that is generated by the AT-SG is not deadly to touch. Vehicles, and soldiers alike, can go through it, albeit slowly. Any attempt to pass through the shield too fast, will lead to the immediate disintegration of said object, or individual. This means that missiles, and other warheads would be disintergrated on impact. The shield can safely absorb blaster fire, which cannot pass through.
  • The Droid Brain: Several point defence lasers line the hull of the AT-SG, covering most, if not all angles. These lasers, using sensors, along with data feeds from nearby allied walkers and troopers, feed telemetry of the surrounding environment to the droid brain. Using similar algorithms to the Clone Wars-era CIS Tactical Droids, the brain is able to prepare countermeasures that will either nullify, or mitigate oncoming threats, or propose strategies to press the attack more efficiently.

Strengths:
Projection of Power: The Shield Generator within the Vanguard-Class walker projects a shield on a radius of 300m x 300m.
Stronk Shield: The shield the Vanguard uses is a strong one, capable of vaporising nearly any projectile or object that comes into it too fast.
Droid Slave: The walker uses an internalised droid brain, as well as several point defence lasers to intercept any tracking missiles, or other large projectiles which sneak under its gaze.
Personal Shield: Like all new model First Order walkers, the Vanguard has a self contained shield generator which adds an extra layer of defence.

Weaknesses:
Runt of the Litter: The Vanguard is essentially a team player. It is not suited to open combat, and should be used in conjunction with other walkers, or a large compliment of infantry to support its movements.
Fat-Bottomed-Girl: The shield generator as well as other electronics on board the Vanguard, make her a heavy thing. Any attempt to dislodge her footing, and she’ll probably fall over.
Weak Joints: Due to the weight of the generator, the joints of the walker are under more pressure than the usual. Although not necessary to target to take the Vanguard out, they're a relatively easy target.

Description:

The AT-SG or Vanguard-Class Support Walker is the first in the line of First Order support walkers. Designed to act as the core of any taskforce, the walkers key is through its shield. The Vanguard is a weapon which takes defensive doctrines from the Gungans of Naboo, and modifies them to suit the needs of a defensive, and offensive force. Above the hull, sits the shield dish, which generates a defensive shield. This shield is projected 300 by 300 meters, and able to absorb oncoming fire in order to defend friendlies from sustained bombardment. The shield also ensures that enemies, approaching at top speed are immediately destroyed as they attempt to pass through.

The AT-SG however is not suited for combat against other armoured enemies. Despite its self-contained shield generator, it is vulnerable to sustained attack via enemy forces, and amour, and should be treated as a priority in any combat situation. Even with the shield, there are vulnerabilities. The heavy concentration of electronics stored on board, as well as an upgraded shield generator means that it is heavily unbalanced. Any sudden change in weight may spell its doom. Its weapon systems are not as advanced as it cousins models, but the walker can still rapidly dispatch infantry based assailants with ease.

Along with the personalised shield, the AT-SG carries with its own anti-missile and projectile suite. With a droid brain put in for targeting, any attempts to bring down the walker using projectiles or warheads are minimised by the defensive array. Because of this droid brain, and the space the power generators make up, there is limited room for troopers, so it carries little more than a defensive compliment. This compliment is strictly deployed in case of emergency, or to reinforce beleaguered ground troops.

Let me first off say I love this idea, not a behemoth on legs but something used to defend its allies.

But let's tweak one thing in the special features. Put some stuff in it such as the droid brain and the shield that your using.
