Description:

With a slight "returning to roots" experienced as Popo slowly turned his focus back towards Tenloss itself, the need for an easily made, but rugged submachine gun was spotted. The design wasn't necessarily needed, but the niche was there and the potential for widespread use drove the concept home.

The Type 8 Submachine Gun was the resulting design. Made of rugged and durable alusteel and featuring a Wroshyr wood stock, grip, and foregrip, the design is both aesthetically appealing and highly durable. The Type 8, nicknamed the Coruscanti Typewriter by the underworld on Coruscant, fires an energy enveloped .45 caliber slug in both semi and fully automatic firing modes. The caliber is large for an SMG, but features excellent knockdown power compared to other designs on the market. The weapon is effective out to around 70 meters with a maximum range of around 200 meters, but this was deemed a negligible issue as the weapon is primarily designed to function at close ranges. The Type 8 comes with 20 or 30 round clips, per buyer choice, and contains a 600 round power pack for energy envelopment. Tenloss sells a 50 and 100 round drum magazine, but these are added costs and must be purchased separately by the buyer.

The only real downsides of the weapon are the weight at nearly five kilograms and the recoil of the weapon, though the weight helps to keep the weapon stable when firing fully automatic and a small pin hole atop the muzzle lets the chemical propellant force the muzzle down to help keep the weapon from rising when firing full auto.
