Intent: To create a pair of glasses for Taeli to use in observational research and accessing information without a datapad
Development Thread: If necessary
Manufacturer: Taeli Rae
Model: Observation Glasses
Affiliation: Taeli Rae
Modularity: None
Production: Semi-unique (developed two pair in case one breaks)
Material: LCD lens, electrical components, wire frame
Description:

Having decided she wanted an easier way to access information than digging around for a datapad or a computer terminal, Taeli decided to tinker and create a new pair of glasses for herself that could do what she wanted. Developed with two lenses of liquid crystal to create a clear display, the real beauty is the circuitry and electronics built into the frame.

Embedded within the right stem is a small, but powerful, medical and environmental scanner (powered by a micro power cell that is good for a year) that allows Taeli to scan a being for medical information, such as elevated hormones or medical conditions, or to scan an area to determine topographical information. This information can be streamed directly from a circuit connection to the lenses to give a HUD image for her to read the information.

Within the left stem is a small transmitter and receiver that allows Taeli to access the Holonet (within any system that has connection to a Holonet relay) and to download information to the small 256MB chip within the stem. Just like with the scanner, this information can be sent to the lenses for viewing by the user.

The system cannot display both sets of info, requiring the user to switch between the information with a press of a pressure sensor located on the side of the left lens.
