STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
+ Heightened strength and dexterity. While not at her intended peak, Stephanie has great strength for her size and sex, and has brilliant reflexes only improved by her Force sensitivity. She is fast, nimble and can move fluidly on, under and over obstacles in her path.
+ Trustworthy, and proud of her standing with Light. While not very social, allies and colleagues are the only family she has, and she will always fight evil and protect the innocents whilst standing by and leading her allies.
+ Very perceptive, with quick reflexes and a good train of thought. Concentration is key, and when required Stephanie will focus, withdraw and remember small details and every situation possible to act without hesitation.
- Has times when she can blackout when her emotions are heightened, due to unfinished “super-soldier” experiment, leaving her a little emotionally unbalanced. Stephanie will panic, and have an anxiety attack if things get too intense and she doesn’t know how to cope.
- A great deal of her memories are broken, distorted and un-clear due to the experiment and serums administered. She has problems piecing together her early years, and struggles to work-out what led her to where she is now.
- Feels isolated all the time, and rather insecure of her own place in the galaxy. While she stands for the Light, she always questions if she is really needed and if others see her as a threat, which makes her shy away from getting close to anyone.

Born on Hapes, Stephanie Swail was the daughter of a Hapan mother, Mya, a fisherwoman, and an Epicanthix father, Vandebuerk, a Force sensitive architect. The two met on Hapes when Vandebuerk was leading an excavation near the Fountain Palace to seek historical artefacts relating to the Sith-Imperial War. Attracted by her genetic beauty, Vandebuerk embarked on a relationship with Mya, but his nature of work was demanding and because of this the two didn’t spend much time together. When Mya fell pregnant after 5 months, Vandebuerk continued to split his time between work and family.
Stephanie was born with a disjointed family, her father away more times than present and due to the fact they weren’t married, the relationship proved strenuous at the best of times. Growing up on Hapes with her mother, Stephanie was soon becoming a black sheep amongst the Hapan community due to her Force sensitivity, with many of the Hapans still falling under the Anti-Jedi sentiment that arose during the reign of Ni’Korish decades ago. Torn between her daughter’s safety and the pressure of her people, Mya made the choice for her to go with Vandebuerk at a young age.
Heart-breaking as this was, Mya did it to give her child a better opportunity at living a fully nurtured life away from the danger of the Anti-Jedi sentiment, because even though Stephanie wasn’t a Jedi, she felt that Force Users were destined to follow that path sooner or later.
Living and exciting and fruitful life alongside her father and learning of the real adventures out in the galaxy buried under the ruins of many planets, Stephanie’s knowledge and interest in the galaxy grew and grew, and her Force sensitivity developed at the hand of Vandebuerk who simply helped her control her developing telekinesis power. Vandebuerk believed that you didn’t need to be Jedi to be taught the power you were born with, but simply by someone who could help you understand the potential behind it.
As she became a healthy and proud young woman, Vandebuerk and Stephanie returned to Hapes to visit Mya after many years of staying away from the planet. On arrival, they were all filled with emotion and joy at seeing each other and seeing the daughter they had raised. But it didn’t last long as the Ni’Korish witnessed the Force powers displayed by Stephanie and took arms to detain her and her parents. As arms were raised to attack, Stephanie called a truce, and talked the aggressors down and defused the hostile situation.
There, she made a choice. A choice to save her parents and avoid violence. Stephanie chose to leave the planet and her home and head for Coruscant; the heart of the Republic and the home of the Jedi Knights where she swore she would learn and thrive, and be somebody her parents would be proud of and know she was making a difference with the power she was born with.
On Coruscant, Stephanie hadn’t made it far before she was approached by Hapan officials who were actually Republic politicians who had followed her from the planet and saw something in that made her special; a selfless Force sensitive woman who was in the right place at the right time.
Before she knew it, she was living and breathing a top secret Republic programme for a new breed of Jedi to counter the growing Sith threat. A select few beings, men and women from all corners of the galaxy, were brought to a secret facility to train in combat, learn Jedi history, galactic history and ultimately be genetically enhanced as a new army of Jedi soldiers who could lead others into battle with increased strength, stamina and Force sensitivity.
She learnt about Jedi past and present including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Corvus Raaf, Iella E’ron, Belth Allusis, Connor Harrison and Cala Brin to name but a few, taking in all the good and bad to what makes a strong Jedi.
When her time came, Stephanie was isolated in a small capsule for the serum administration to increase her body and mind. As it happened, her muscle mass slowly increased and her resolve become stronger; it even changed her physically, turning her blonde hair a dull brown due to cell manipulation. But there was a traitor in the facility; a rogue scientist on the Sith payroll who attempted to sabotage the project.
All hell broke loose after the scientist detonated a grenade inside the test chamber, starting a fire and killing and injuring some Republic officers. Stephanie’s procedure was cut short of completion for her safety, and she was ejected from the capsule and had to flee inside the facility to avoid being captured and killed. The Sith agents were waiting to take what soldiers they could and what secrets they could extract for their own research.
Fleeing with her incomplete shield, blaster and Hapan gowns, Stephanie had to put to use her new physical ability to escape the facility and make it out into Coruscant as the Sith agents burnt the lab to the ground and took their kidnapped soldiers away for a fate worse than death.
It was then, feeling alone with only a few lab officials to help her and guide her, that Stephanie had one choice; to continue her training as a selfless, natural Jedi and show the dark forces that the Light would not be intimidated, threatened or extinguished while she ever had a breath left in her body…
